My first job was concrete. A 2 day pile of concrete for $350. Def lost money in labor alone. I had no idea it would be such a hassle. Moral of the story I don’t mess with concrete anymore lol. Good learning experience early on but Jesus!!!

Love the video! I love when you guys make longer videos, keeps me motivated XD. I actually went with the box truck route, I bought a 16ft ford box truck, yes, I know I still have to unload by hand hahah, but it was the cheapest option insurance wise. My insurance premiums if I got a dump truck or trailer would have been straight robbery! The insurance companies don't like or trust young truck drivers ha ;)

I would take the frigerators to like the Goodwill or Salvation Army that would help you save money at the dump and stoves also might be something to think about
I had to unload 15 yards of dirt by hand, I've since bought a dump insert for my truck. Much better!

Do you prefer the Isuzu dump truck vs pickup with dump trailer? To me it seems like the bigger truck would attract attention like having ca# weight tags etc. Higher insurance. Etc. Or is it just better with the big truck vs say a tundra with a 6x12 dump trailer or so?
prefer the dump truck, it gets more attention. helps with landing jobs is easier to move around and gets in tight places the truck and trailer cant get to

Had a long one myself today. Hot tub removal in Penngrove. just over 40 miles. Luckily only 45 minutes drive time with current traffic

I just got another dump trailer. Its going to be nice to have 2 trailers. Plus getting more in the rock/dirt/ removal. So 1025r will be Delivered tomorrow. I get more calls for this then trash removal. And 100 times cheaper to get ride of then 1 ton of trash. The button takes out the need to hire 1 guy in 80% of all jobs.
That’s awesome, it’s always best to see what the need is in your area and then fill it.
How much can you get per load hauling dirt or concrete?

Steal toe boots, I was wearing mine when I broke my ankle, I can only imagine how bad it would have been if I wasn’t wearing them

You can either write off gas, or miles, save both....you will right off whatever saves you the most.

Yes you can do most days alone although it helps to have someone else, some jobs will be smal and others big. When Matt first started out he was alone often. Hey do customers watch your videos? Do people ever try to get deals of cool shit. I had a guy today who wanted a deal because he had some nice, old school, original mustang rims. He told me I could sell them and give him a cut. People always asking for a cut. Haaaa
Only a couple of times,,,one said you guys are the ones with the videos right, and another was really nice and called us by our names like she really knew us...but that’s it....and many customers will want a better deal because they are giving you something they think is valuable. We always act like everything is junk, we always say “no thank you, we dont have room at our house. Really if they wanted to sell it they could, but they didn’t they called you....we charge the same whether we can sell something, recycle it etc....
