    The paint blended beautiful. This will buy you time and I agree its better then primer. You can also see the difference on the roof cut and buff job. I'll be using this video as a reference for when I do my headliner in my Challenger. This some detailed work and I'll use this as a guide. It turned out really nice the sun will shrink it also. Thanks Chris and Tom for the hospitality at the Chrysler show. It was great talking with you guys.

      Thanks Rich, the blend does look good considering it was done with spray cans. I'm glad the video will help because when Tom was looking for videos on UA-cam there are very few mopar headliner install ones. Rich it was great meeting you and Tom it was our pleasure. I hope to meet up with you again.

    Thanks for this video. I am getting ready to do my first headliner tomorrow in my 69 roadrunner and am a little nervous. I have spent all week taking my time with it. I am going to try and do mine with the glass in. My car is a survivor and the glass, seals, trim are all really grate condition so hopefully I can get it in without pulling them. Only reason it’s getting a new headliner, seat covers, and carpet is because of mice. I can’t get the small out. I have heard of a few people doing it without pulling the glass and being a big pain in the ass and taking a little longer but they took there time and it came out grate.

      Earl, good luck just take your time with it and it will be fine. It is way easier with the glass out but I understand why your doing it that way. That is going to be the toughest part getting between the windows.

    You guys explained this better than anyone else. My only question is when do you hook the 2 wires in back which you show they spready and go straight

    • @Testasspeedshop9997
      @Testasspeedshop9997  Рік тому

      Thanks snake. If I remember right you start I'm the middle and work you way out front first and then the back. When you get close to the wires hook then in. I think this is right it been a while since we did it. I will get tom to chime in he may remember better than me.

      Hello snake , I'm Tom. The spring hooks on the rear of my headliner. You want to hook them in after you get your headliner hung up in the car ,and you have the headliner material center up in the car.it helps to lay the headliner out on a flat surface and mark the center of the front and rear of the headliner before hanging it in the car. Then center it in the car .then hook the rear spring hooks . You want your spring hooks facing inward to each other about 1/2 inch so when you go to pull the sides of the headliner out the hook springs will go from being offset to straight . That will give you the proper tinchen on the headliner. I hope this helps. If there is anything else I can help answer let me know.

    I use one of them paint eater discs for a die grinder for getting the old loose stuff, insulation, and glue. I just moved around fast with light pressure and it left the surface perfect.

    Nice work!! That looks like a miserable job to have to do. I'm definitely not looking forward to doing in on my 66 Dart. Did the remaining wrinkles end up working themselves out?

      It's a pain to do but it was a lot easier with the glass out. The wrinkles have been working out. Good luck with your install just take your time with it

      Hi, I have Auto meter gauges in my car. The speedo and tac are 3 inch. And the rest are 2 inch I think. I my Original gauge out of the car. And found another original gauge and took the gauges out of it cut a piece of metal to fit it .then cut 6the holes for my new garages. I like the way it came out. I didn't want gauges all over the car or under the dash. So this is what I came up with .
