This is the best video on replacing the front axles. Easy to follow, easy to see what's going on.

Thank you!! From around 15:30 trying to get the spindle back in, that's my problem. It's half in but not enough to get the nut back on to pull the axle out. So I'll try what you suggested tomorrow. After an hour of searching yours is the only vid that shows the problem and a possible solution. God bless. Let's go Brandon. From a Cockney in France.

Out of curiosity would it be easier for a DIYer to leave the lower ball joint alone and disconnect the knuckle from the strut? That’s just how I would do it as most people don’t have the leverage they’ll need to get the lower ball joint separated. Plus you risk damaging the boot etc. But on older Nissan’s it was connected with two bolts however on this car I was trying to look to see if the knuckle was only connected to the strut by one bolt.

That's even harder the easier way would be to remove the lower control arm if you dont have a long pry bar

So a 3 year old Nissan already had a CV shaft fail, abs it wasn’t under warranty?
Secondly did you use Genuine Nissan parts? Because it’s crazy what they charge for their CV shafts. I think my wife’s 09 Altima they want $700 per shaft. But I just don’t know how well aftermarket ones hold up. People seem to think they don’t last long.

The new car with suspension problems yes that's how the customer bring them to me after they crash them and the warranty won't cover them and it's too expensive to fix at the dealer

I buy my parts on line I just got a cv axel for 60$ from rock auto, but I need to get transmission oil for about 200$ cause I'm doing a transmission flush as well, but I am still saving money by doing the work my self
