Yeah it kind of itches me too, while watching, to carve it in some way. But then again it is easy to miss things on own things and that's why friends (and viewers) advice/suggestions are often helpful.
Thanks! I thought it was a great deal back then but didn't really notice how far it had come until I was pulling up old pictures for this video. the trunk line has really smoothed out and blended together nicely since then. Maybe I should call this my unicorn tree!
Not with this one in particular but I have done that with some other trees in the past. This one I keep convincing myself that "this is the year I will get to repot it into a bonsai pot." But you can see how that's gone. Lol
Fantastic work with this one, Toy!
She is coming along nicely.
Thank you! Ironically, it's one of my lowest maintenance trees too.
I would suggest trying to make the scar area a little concave.
That's actually a really good idea, thanks!

mike this is a unicorn of a tree. 25$ for what it was then and is now. wow! nice work!

That's a shame those roots just died randomly, that really sucks.
Can't wait to see it repotted next spring.
Yeah that was completely unplanned when I was recording that. I was just sort of pointing them out and then, oops!
Have you ever considered pulling it out of the pot and replacing the bottom 3rd of soil with bonsai soil?
