I've heard of it. Been there 8 times since 1994. Stayed at that hotel when it was the Lotus hotel.

I lived and worked in Astrakhan from 2007 to 2010. My apartment was in Lenin Square, looking directly out onto Lenins Monument and the kremlin, wonderful view. The local people were really friendly and helpful. Bar's and Restaurants served delicious food and drinks (very cheap back then) Great memories of Astrakhan! Apart from those pesky flies and mosquitos!
I loved my visit to Astrakhan. In fact, I loved Russia as a whole!

Really cool video, will add more to my watch later after this, but you need to drop the zoom transitions and the sounds especially , extremely annoying, while the video overall was insightful and easy to watch
