My wife and I did this back in 2022 visiting our daughter in Rotorua. We hired a campervan and I would love to plug their name but won't here. But they are in Auckland meet us at the airport the day after we arrived, as we flew in from Norfolk island spent the night at the hotel located at the airport so that we could get our feet on the ground.
We travelled from Auckland to Rotorua and spent most of our time at our Daughters partners house and was given an adapter so we could plug into the house supply.
Spent a couple of nights at Orewa before taking our van back to the hire company....sad day saying goodbye to the van.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who has never done this sort of trip.
Love your clips and commentary, first meet your clips with the cruise you did my home on Norfolk Island. This clip has brought back memories and only wish to do it again, but spending more time touring than parked up at a home.
The warmth of the caravan, the meals and driving all makes travelling and touring so special. Thank you for sharing your trip...and again if you are ever on Norfolk Island I would offer the Norfolk Island hand out to have you here for a cuppa or a dinner.
What a neat story! In 2021 we hired campervan for a 3 week trip around the nth island and gave us a taste for it. We are so enjoying ourselves and feel really lucky to be doing what we're doing. Would love to take up your offer when next in Norfolk Island. Yes, we will return.

We are heading to Europe next year with Holidaymax. First time as far out of Australia and Norfolk island.

Thank you! It was you guys who helped inspire us to do this. We've even got Toula, coming into Ladybird but she is still timid. When we are back home we leave the door open and she enters when she feels like it. Our cat in the other hand, loves Ladybird 😄 Thank you again Charlene, Chris and Holly ❤️
