The only issue i had with Unity was that, while advertised with better parkour, what this really meant was that they made almost everything climbable. Which, on paper, was probably a good sounding idea, but with how cramped the streets of France are in this game, freerunning, at times, became a nightmare as Arno's AI will try and predict the player's intention and lock onto the most random of handholds, often leading to annoying or sometimes mission ending mistakes
while i totally agree it got annoyign at times, i think it was a step in the right direction. recently i just got done playing mirage (it was mid) and figured i'd hop on unity just to compare the feeling of the parkour and combat. and... wow. they've really downgraded ever since. unity's parkour just feels sooo smooth, and the few times it messes up are just mild setbacks compared to the clunkiness of mirage.
I know this comment is like a year old but one of the worst things they ever did in AC was getting rid of the high / low profile. The amount of times i've been playing one of the more recent ones and I accidentally climb something when i dont mean to
Unity had the best navigation and movement options out of every AC game. The quick decent options made moving about the city effortless, fluid, and quick
I love the sound design of this game so much. The ambiance is so nice. I could listen to the free running sfx for a long time and never get tired of it
That was so dope. Amazing video. This truly highlights the strengths of Unity's mechanics. Also your level of skill using the mechanics. I love the fast, aggressive stealth. The way you finished the assassination was the greatest of all

@@shadow_crne1030 I disagree, Syndicate simplified and removed even more control for the parkour system, as well overshadowing it with the grappling hook, which was a necessity for it's terrible level design. The combat system was ridiculous paired with its over the top animations to the point where it was silly and comical rather than badass. The story was just the twins mucking things up for themselves and fixing it later while getting commended for it, which is sad considering how they have a genuinely good dynamic. That's not even mentioning the dumb invisibility cloak. The Jack the Ripper DLC was really cool though, I'll admit that. But overall, Syndicate was a step down from Unity nearly all aspects Origins was definitely a departure, but at least it still had an assassin unlike Odyssey and Valhalla. I enjoyed Origins, but more as an RPG, rather than an AC game

@@shadow_crne1030 The reason it feels less glitchy is because there was far less to control. Game didn't even let you freely jump across large gaps anymore. What I meant by level design is how London was built. Compared to the streets of Paris, where parkour even on ground level was accommodated. In Syndicate, the building designs are just too flat to be interesting for parkour. Tall buildings with flat walls, all far apart separated by large streets, offering little to no parkour routes other than the one laid out. It's simply not an environment meant for parkour, which is why it's a step down from Unity. Yes, I get that London really was like that in the victorian era, but seeing how they handled New York and Boston in AC3, I think they could've done a better job, taken some of those creative liberties, or maybe just not set a game where a third or even half of the gameplay is parkour in a place where you can't parkour _coughodysseyvalhalla_ If you look at Mirage, the parkour might not be OG AC or Unity level, but the environment was built for parkour, letting people express themselves with movement better than the last 3 RPGCreeds combined. Level Design matters in Assassin's Creed
Unity was amazingly great made, and i did love the orientation that the online mode took in this release afther the previous games. I've never played this great, you've made it look like ultra instinct player. (sorry for my english, blessings from Chile)

Yeah, at first I was sad when I noticed there wasn't any guards patrolling the rooftops in normal places, just like in the 4 first games, but when I saw that those shooters can see you at the other side of the city I changed my mind
Awe doesn't even begin to describe how I feel when I watch you play AC Unity. 3:21 Pickpocketing that enemy before carving another hole in his head was adding insult to injury, which he entirely deserved. 😈 My favorite thing about AC Unity is the setting, Ubisoft did an amazing job at recreating 18th-century revolutionary Paris. I still get goosebumps every time I lay eyes on Notre Dame de Paris cathedral.
Halzoids outfit manager is awesome. Being able to edit the color schemes of outfits just adds to Unity’s customization. I may showcase it, but name taken’s mod is on another level. Removing restrictions on quick shots, smoke bombs makes Arno an absolute beast. Awesome video man 👍.
This was awesome, never played Unity but this year i did & my oh my do I love it. I know the mods polish it but I'm on PS5 still, I have so much fun with the parkour & stealth. I'm still upset AC mirage won't use this parkour system.
The musical element at the ending was great, it reminds me of AC IV: Black Flag's gameplay trailer, which did something similar, using the main theme at a climatic moment. It is also something like we used to see in superhero movies. Great job.

Dang, I can recreate this whole descent but I just cant figure out how to do the diagonal side hop thing right before the side hop onto the gargoyle at 0:38. Anyone have any clues as to what inputs are used here? I play on PC with all ACUfixes non cheat options enabled.
I haven't seen a haybale assassination in years but that one right at the beginning was such a throwback to when I used to obsess over videos like this. There was so much dopamine skipping over my neurons. But what the Hell was that ending? That was the perfect setup to pull off the dagger equivalent of the longest confirmed sniper kill and it _missed?_ 0/10, disliked, unsubscribed, reported, slandered to all my friends and given 1 star when UA-cam asks what I though of the video. Let this be a lesson to you... Jk, love you really.
The more people post Unity gameplay like this the better chance we have that Ubisoft sees there is a market for epic AC games like this. They need to improve this formula of AC game.
