Okay, one thing I really like about this fight is that you learned before that Hyuga was an ex-MMA fighter who dropped his fighting style before coming to the arena because it was too violent. But now that his sister's been kidnapped, he trained like hell and switched back to his old style because he though Tatsuya did it. That's nice story-gameplay integration here.
Sorry I'm late, up to my eyes in exams right now, for someone who made it sound like Hyuga (2) was the hardest boss in the game you certainly made this look easy haha, even blackwind was impressed which is rare ;)
What is this game like to play? I haven't seen much footage myself, but from what I have seen, it seems like the combat is very repetitive, even for an rgg game. Looking forward to more gameplay of this spinoff
If it weren't for 20~21 different fighting styles, this game could feel repetitive as you put it. Each fighting style has about three different heat actions determined by the color of the heat auras: Blue, Yellow and Red. It's really damn fun because rather than being about a certain number of Square presses for rush combos like in almost all Yakuza games, you only press square and the directional arrows to try and pull off different attacks. Deathblows/Charge attacks are also another thing that you could learn, as there are varying ones. Bosses do drag on for some time especially early on in the game and the higher the difficulty is, there's pretty much no QTEs with the bosses either, all they have is their rage/heat mode state which has them doing heat actions. But overall, it can be pretty challenging, and with like 20 fighting styles, there's quite a lot to experiment with. There are several different taunts as well, depending on the fighting style, but not every fighting style has a unique one, they are re-used for some styles. My only complaint is that boss fights dragging on long is reminiscent of Yakuza 3, especially with no QTEs to keep things exciting, but the bosses in Kurohyou do put you on edge especially when they enter rage/heat mode. I thought I would place Kurohyou above Yakuza 3 but I'm not sure, honestly. Yakuza 3 does have chip damage and QTEs, but it repeats them most of the time, and its Feel The Heat system has just three moves.

How the fuck are you supposed to beat this guy?! When he's in heat mode half the time you can't even avoid him cause he's right smack dab center in the fucking stage and if you try to run around him to the other side he will catch you, and if you try to run as far in the other direction as possible, he will catch you. I can only run when I can manage to run the entire length of the stage away so he will stop being red, but that is completely unreliable.
