The only chance that I had to try Hiris, in the blue bottle, was in a nice restaurant. I had lunch with a friend and found Hiris in the blue bottle on the counter of the ladies room. I was so surprised and excited to find an older formulation. It was like spotting a unicorn in a supermarket. 😊 Being the perfumista that I am, of course I sprayed some on. Did I mention that iris is probably my favorite note? You can't imagine my disappointment. The bottle had gone off and I could only smell an overdose of vetiver. I own several perfumes that others find melancholy but they just feel super elegant to me. They make my eyes roll back and my toes curl. Guess I'm in the minority. I love your reviews. They are excellent! I hope you can perk up. If you like Iris/vetiver please try Nuee Bleue by Maison Violet. Then, please do a review. 😁Thanks again!
Oh my gosh I can't believe you found a bottle of Hiris just sitting there! That's so crazy! I hope my bottle never goes off. I've seen reviews for Nuee Bleue and yes it sounds right up my alley. I think it's going to go on my test list. Thank you for your kind words they mean a lot to me❤
I’ve been curious about this scent so thanks for the review. It sounds really interesting. The fragrance that makes me feel somber and melancholic in my collection is Encre Noir (the man’s version). It’s so dark, earthy, it just makes me sad but in a good way :).
Hiris is deliciously understated and sophisticated. I think of someone freshly bathed wearing blousy, draping clothes. Like luxurious silken pajamas embroidered with little motifs and patterns with silver thread. They are comfortable but not sacrificing on style. I wish there were more green iris scents, I'm not a fan of the lipstick variety. I do have a feeling like people who love au The Bleu Bvlgari as well as L'Heure Bleue would fall in love with Hiris. Might even like it more, since it's more fresh and uplifting. You might consider trying Yardley's Iris, it is similar imo. I'd be curious to know your thoughts. It's not as full-bodied but it lands close by to Hiris.
I love L'Heure Bleue I agree completely! And another iris perfume to try? I need look into that. I am loosely formulating a list of iris perfumes to talk about--one of my favorite scents!

You're so welcome! It's strange and lovely, very unique and emotive. I love melancholy scents!

also if you know of other green iris scents I would love to see a video on that :)

I love green. I like carnation. Hmm. Sounds very nice. Thanks for mentioning that some men might like it.
Sure thing! This scent isn't particularly masculine or feminine.
How does it compare to Infusion D'Iris Prada?
Hmm. They're both green, but the Hermès has a deeper iris note and is more floral with the carnation. The Prada is more incensey and resinous.
@@timeisart927 They really are amazing iris perfumes. Some of the best I think!
