Always a good day when I see a video from you pop up on my list! This is a new one to me. Although i've no issue with wearing a fragrance labelled for women, I don't actually have any in my collection yet. This sounds very interesting though. I'm really getting into florals & green fragrances for the spring. Go potters!
I have only vintage Hiris, then it went d/c, maybe now it's back reformulated if it's on the Hermes site. May explain the lack of carrot note in the notes list? I get a lot of carrot in the vintage Hiris. My favorite time to wear Hiris is in the summer, seems best on my skin then. I can see your drift to SL, yet Hiris is very Hermes as well. I also see your drift to unisex, but then everything is potentially unisex these days, which I like. It's a strange and special fragrance, a rare beauty.
I personally think iris is one of the most interesting notes and it is definitely one of my favorite ones. I also don't consider it a green floral but more of a starchy powdery one if that makes sense lol. I find that carrot note in Hiris but I always thought it was due to a natural carrot nuance some irises have. Your review is great, thank you for the video!
I love Hiris! I totally get the Fabric-Softener or plastic reference, which is one of the things I like about it. I need to find a discounter because my bottle is running out :( LOL Excellent review as usual!
That is so true. So many scents pre-2000 could easily be remarketed as unisex. I like that though cause it shows people are opening their eyes to new things. I'm not too sure about the reformulation, but it makes sense. It doesn't come off as an overly 'offensive' note to me.
I appreciate hearing that a lot. Seriously check this out. I don't think its something that comes off too fem. If you like iris, this is a must imo. Great scent for spring.
I have to say Heeley's Nuit de Iris is certainly up there. Hermes' Sur le Nil is meant to have a carrot note, but I don't pick it up much. Trussardi's Essenze del Tempo has wild carrot that fits in the same line
Really enjoying the new videos! There are a lot of fragrances in my collection I'd have never even *heard* of if not on your channel.

Just got finished watching your "polite fragrances" video featuring Hiris right after this! The UK Hermes website has it in - £88

Iris de Nuit is a lovely scent. It has a great 'grey' quality to it. Iris Silver Mist I have yet to try, but I have heard really great things about it
