NIGHTWISH Announce Album Title "Yesterwynde" and Release Dates

- Nightwish the Finnish symphonic metal band have announced the title of their new album called "Yesterwynde". They also announced the first new song release coming May 21st as well as the release date for the album September 20th. We go into the writing process of this new album and talk about the sound and vibe they are trying to get across. They have also released the track list containing twelve songs with the first release being almost ten minutes long. They go on to say that the album will be on the heavier side but very optimistic. You are so right about what he says about Marko. He was asked how his musicwriting has changed and that is what he answered, nothing bad about Marko. Those who think otherwise need to remember that he and Emppu almost ended the band when Marko left - Tuomas has felt that way only once before (over 20 years ago), happily his other friend was there to talk him out of it then ❤️
Marko and Floor have an awesome dynamic sound together, it would be neat if they did something together!

It will probably be pronounced like Yesterwind but I think the yester-wined pronunciation works too. One is the wind blowing through all yesterdays. But the other is like time winding...or unwinding itself before you. Back in time being more than just rewind; it is yesterwind. Anyway, having two different approaches to the album title is very Nightwish. Tuomas always encourages different interpretations for Nightwish songs (smart). This is no different from that. 🔥🤘🔥

Greetings!! I hope all is well with you! Yeah I cant wait, I havent been this excited about an album release since I was a kid and to get to experience along with a bunch of awesome fans is the icing on the cake!!! I am willing to bet this album will be quite the ride!!!
30th Anniversary is 2026 , hopefully a tour then.

Looking forward to this new album 🙂 Everything about this is raising my hopes - Im really liking the new album cover artwork, and has the feel of some of the classic Nightwish album covers that, arguably, was missing from the previous two album covers. The song titles, even the album title itself, and the chat about it being a heavier album, all makes me optimistic and curious to hear the new music 🙂 Cant wait for the first single in a few weeks, and September cant come soon enough 😁
Yeah I dont think I have been this excited about a release since I was a teenager!
I'm looking forward to getting the orchestral version in addition to the "normal" one. And I'm curious how the vocals will turn out with Troy having a gentler voice. Thank you for the "mouthwatering" video 🙂
My pleasure!! Yeah I think its really neat they are doing that the way they are, its going to be cool hearing the difference between the two.. Troy has a more subtle presence when compared to Marko but he really helps add the thickness to the vocals so it will be interesting to see what they do! I cant wait to at least hear the first release! I havent been this excited about an album release since I was a kid, its going to be awesome getting to experience it with the rest of the incredible fan base!!!
@@TheKillogicEffect I just hope that there will too many members of the fan base complain about Jukka's playing and Troy's singing. There are still people who are angry about Floor and trashing her as "a weaker singer than Tarja" - which she isn't, and she never talked bad about Tarja. These "fights" from fans are ridiculous and to me there are showing those people are not really fans of the band. If Jukka or Troy were bad at their jobs they wouldn't be members of the band.
I forgot to mention that I fully agree with your statement on Spotify. I sometimes buy music on bandcamp if it isn't available as CD - yes, I'm that "old fashioned", I still collect CDs and even sometimes buy a vinyl record 🥰
How about Jukka singing and not only bass ?
@@RayBo72 I'd like that because I'm curious how he'd sound but I believe there are too many "fans" who would compare him with Marko and give no positive review. Even if he'd be at the same level. Some folks "want to hate" and perhaps Tuomas doesn't want to give them "ammunition".

Yeah it never fails with any Nightwish video I do there will be at least two or three people saying "This is it!" some maybe just trolling but I hope this helps put that to bed
