Yeah I remember back in college it was all Xbox and ps2. I’m sure there was a few GameCubes in the dormitory, but I must’ve not been friends with them. I’ll never forget the PS3 came out my freshmen year and my roommate bought one on release. I was very lucky haha but every guy in the dorm was wanting to come check it out. Good times.
It's a great machine for sure! I really do like it. But, I have very fond memories of playing the PS2.... and painful ones of playing the GameCube. I guess that's why I favor the PS2 more
Cool video! I've been following the ''go for what's irrelevant'' strategy for years now and I'm especially glad I did that for the gamecube 10 plus years ago. Now is the time for PS4, Xbox one, and Wii U! I recently picked up Blowout as well and it's actually pretty good! It's a 2d platforming shooter adventure game that reminds me of the classic Metroid titles.
Thanks for watching! I've been lucky in that most games I'm interested in weren't especially popular at the time (excluding shmups, of course). I'm glad to see you've had the same strategy. Thanks for letting me know about Blowout! Your comment makes me look forward to playing a little more.
The PlayStation 2 version of Soul Calibur 2 has a Tekken character in it but I forgot his name and the Xbox version I do remember that one for sure and that's spawn
The only GameCube game I’ve ever found in the wild is star fox adventures. It was over 2 years ago at a goodwill for less than 20 dollars. It was a cool get. Unfortunately I never played a GameCube when it was new because I was in college at the time so I don’t have nostalgia for the system and don’t actively collect for it.
Yeah, I totally understand that. It has some great games for it for sure, but I've always liked the PS2 and all of its craziness more. I feel like there are so many different types of games for that system.
I grew up on GCN, so it's one of my favorites to collect for. I'm pretty proud of my collection, so I'll have to show you sometime. People will likely (and understandably) hate the fact I haven't beaten many of them though, but I was only a kid when I played the GCN the most... Anyway, here are my random thoughts as you go through your collection: I have a very vivid memory to do with Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Games. I'll have to tell you later. Super Smash Bros. Melee was my childhood. I remember my friend and I getting every single trophy for that game. Super Mario Sunshine was super-fun. I never beat it as a kid. I need to revisit it. Star Fox Adventures is more of a Zelda-esque game. That's another I never actaully beat as a kid but want to revisit. Soul Calibur II had Spawn for the Xbox and Heihachi from Tekken for the PS2. I LOVE SCII. It's my favorite fighting game (though that doesn't mean I'm super-good at it, haha. Paper Mario: TTYD is probably the game I want to play most on GCN that I haven't played yet. I know people adore it to death. Metroid Prime is ANOTHER game I started as a kid but never finished. I agree that the Mario Party games tend to blend, especially 5, 6, and 7 for me. I mostly played 2, 3, and 4 growing up. MP6 is indeed the one with the microphone. I am SHOCKED you haven't played Double Dash. Besides MK8, it's the best Mario Kart, in my opinion. I LOVE that game. Luigi's Mansion is one of the games I've started the most. I don't know why I kept starting from the beginning as a kid. I never finished it, of course. I loved what I did play of it though. I'll always remember the controversy behind Wind Waker's graphics when it came out. For all the Zelda games, I need to finish them. I got as far as the Shadow Temple in Ocarina. Never played the NES ones. Kirby Air Ride was an interesting racing game. It's not a typical kart racer. I didn't love it. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is not like most FF games as far as gameplay. I didn't love it when I tried it. I started Eternal Darkness with a friend years ago. We never did complete it. It's another one I want to revisit, despite knowing all the neat gimmicks it has. I had the same experience as you did with Custom Robo. I played it for a bit on my own and wasn't that into it. Baten Kaitos Origins is the prequel to Baten Kaitos: EW&tLO. I definitely want to play both of these someday. Overall, that's a very nice collection! You've got some real heavy hitters for sure!!
Wow! Thanks for the amazing comment. There were a ton of games that I never beat as a kid either. It wasn't until I was an adult that I felt like I "needed" to finish games. You're so capricious when you're younger. I guess everyone eventually grows out of that
@@RNGGamerYT I love your videos going through Grails!, I recently sold a lot of my collection just to build a Grail Collection of Games. I definitley learned quite a bit from your videos!
I would wait a few years if I were you. It's the most popular and expensive console to collect for right now. But, maybe you'll get lucky and find a deal somewhere!
Love the GameCube buddy . Eternal Darkness is also my fave game on the system hahaha. I got it day one and the game blew my mind :) Got a story about how i got the Zelda Promo Game. I went to my local woolworths to buy something "Forgot what game it was hahaha" But then the lady behind the counter was like hey do you want a free game? So i was like hmmmm yes lol and she give me the Zelda Promo game brand new sealed hahaha. It was a good day :) Great collection buddy.
I was 9 when game cube came out i got it xmas of 02 with sunshine mario i had preferd ps1 to n64 so my mom already actually bought a PS2 and had to take it back and get the GameCube because that's the one me and my brother wanted lol
That's funny! I was in college when the gamecube came out... literally no one I knew wanted it... except this girl I dated. We were all hooked on the PS2

That's a big deal for a freshman! $600 was no chump change
Your right no one had a gamecube back in the day. It wasn’t seen as “cool” back then but now it’s a great machine
It's a great machine for sure! I really do like it. But, I have very fond memories of playing the PS2.... and painful ones of playing the GameCube. I guess that's why I favor the PS2 more
Gamecube games just has a great form factor. The long cases with colorful manuals, the small discs. Idk it just hits different. Nice stack of games!
Thanks! I like the form factor of the GameCube games as well.

You're right! I was confusing the special characters from some other Soul Calibur games.
@@RNGGamerYT yeah that's ok you at least tried to remember that stuff still tho nice video

StarFox Adventures is amazing! Sort of a LoZ style game. A must play! It was the 3rd game I played on the GC, after RE4 and Geist.
That's a good recommendation! It makes me look forward to playing it a bit more for sure. Thanks!
I love your content! Keep it up.
Thank you so much! What's your favorite type of video?

Nice collection of unplayed games lol. You're lucky you get to experience them for the first time, gc games are just built different
I know! I'm thankful every day for all of my games... especially the ones I haven't played yet.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I know this late to reply to this video, but that’s an awesome collection ya got there dude!
Thanks! The gamecube is a really cool system. I just hate that I was so late to the party for collecting for it
whats with all the gamecube games with no cases or manuels. I have never gotten rid of any of those
People did weird things to save space
Hi Rng Gamer I Hope Eternal Darkness Gets A Physical Release For Ps4 And Ps5 In The Future
That would be amazing! Unfortunately, Silicon Knights, the developers, are no more.
Hi Rng Gamer Why Is Sillicon Knights Out Of Business
Dude! Do the Neo Geo!
I plan on getting to the NeoGeo sooner than later!
gamecube games becoming expensive is kinda silly
like nintiendo could just make more money re releasing these games
They want to make money re-releasing them, but a lot of them they don't have the rights to
Star fox adventures is my all time favorite gamecube game . I had no nostalgia for star fox so i loved it
I'm looking forward to trying it out
So it sounds like you paid $22 for your whole collection 😂
Is that right?!? It can't be. Still, I did pick up most of it when it was super cheap to do so.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@RNGGamerYT Great video.. It's cool to see other people's collections
Thanks!
Star fox adventures is like a zelda starfix mix u go through temples an stuff
That's what I've been told. Seems pretty cool
