    At the end of the day snakebytes is a business and a business has to make money to survive and why would you start a business if you didn't want to make a profit ? But Brian and the crew put the welfare of the animals first which is brilliant

    • @hej4313
      @hej4313 9 років тому +5

      Profiting on something is merely a testimony to your skills at something.

    • @wyattdamron3168
      @wyattdamron3168 9 років тому

      It didn't start as a business though, that's just what it evolved into.

      +Daniel Tarrant It's ridiculous that the concept of making a profit has become so demonized, just goes to show you how socialist our country has become. Profit is what drives economic growth, and is what created the pet trade to begin with. It's a shame that Brian can't just talk selling herps without having to throw out constant disclaimers so the idiots don't accuse him of being "all about the money".

    • @Nubias
      @Nubias 8 років тому

      +HeartlandRanchTV In order for them to produce the shows,and keep breeding beautiful herps,they must make money,albeit that is exploiting the animals. They are kept in captivity,then sold. They don't break even doing this,they make a healthy profit. Yah the States is a Socialist entity,in some respects,but so what?
      Those who don't like it can always move to another country. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head to make em stay. It's about to get a lot more socialist,I predict here Bernie Sanders will win,and then your gonna see some socialist change,but like I said,there's always Europe.

      Law of supply and demand dumb ass. Everyone wants a bad ass looking snake. Not everyone can breed them, therefore the price keeps the two forces in balance. If they were too expensive they wouldn't sell any, and obviously they're still selling them.

    • @bizzieone
      @bizzieone 8 років тому

      +fuflang no system is more exploited by greed than the system of "supply and demand". I'm not saying that they're not doing amazing things or that they shouldn't earn an honest living. nor am i suggesting that they shouldn't charge whatever price they can get. if there are morons like you willing to pay more for a snake than a house costs then more power to them, dumbass.

    • @fuflang
      @fuflang 8 років тому

      Lmfao you've got it backwards, no system is more exploited by greed than governments trying to control economies. Ignoring supply and demand is the reason why China has tens of millions of vacant apartments that no one can afford. rarity will always demand a higher price, get over it.
      And yeah, you kind of did suggest they shouldn't charge whatever price they could get for it. " earning an honest living is 1 thing, charging tens of thousands of dollars for 1 snake is another."
      Btw, I own an Okeetee Corn, about $20 but I got her for free. I don't own any exotic snakes, I just understand how business works.

    Personally in my opinion I prefer import cars. Ive had horrible problems with American cars. Ford, Chevy, and especially Dodge. Repairs are more expensive on my Volkswagen but it has ran alot better than any other American vehicle I have had. I dont think these guys exploit the snakes. They are breeders and it shows they care about the animals and not treat them like money making objects.

    • @traciecopeland7399
      @traciecopeland7399 10 років тому

      American car builders became less interested in a quality product that lasts and in inbuilt obsolescence to boost profits and so lost a huge portion of the market. U want america strong again? Talk to the shotcallers who make all the big money decisions...the ones who sold our manufacturing equipment overseas, broke the unions and put EVERYTHING secondary to profit. Quit spending our money on unnecessary wars to make rich men even richer. Reducing something like this to whether to buy a foreign or domestic auto or incredible over simplification...........besides, most of us can't afford new cars anymore anyways.(so moot point)........OK, getting off the soap box. .I though
      t this was about snakes

    Ford, GM, and Chrysler are closing plants every year and sending production to foreign countries. Toyota, Nissan, and other "Foreign" companies are opening plants here in the USA every year and expanding production here in the USA!

  • @whiskeymountainwood

    Hate to break it to you but that so called American truck you drive was most likely produced in Mexico! More and more domestic vehicles are being produced in Canada and Mexico so when you say you're supporting American jobs and American families, what you should be say is you support outsourcing and the destruction of our economy. More parts on my Toyota Tacoma were produced here in the US and final assembly was also here in the US. So if you're going to support American jobs... Buy Toyota!

      +jeffrey park Exactly. It's like Harley Davidson- Made in japan, assembled in Mexico, sold in America. I used to own an IROC, heartbeat of America and all that.....made in Canada.

    Anyway. Great show guys I found you a couple of days ago and I am hooked now and keep watching more and more when ever I have a little free time and I am so tempted to buy a snake now but I am going to keep watching these shows and also reading up first before I take the plunge as they are living reptiles and need to be looked after properly and know what you are getting in to, too many people buy a snake and then give it up when it grows to big so I am going to try and buy a snake that only grows to a certain length or make sure I have a set up big enough for them to be comfortable.
    Once again, thanks to you all at snakebytes, I know this one is an old video and I hope you are still posting them up now. CHeers.
