Seasmoke claiming Addam was teased in earlier episodes where Addam looked at Seasmoke flying around in the distance. Addam was chosen as a rider most likely due to his blood and close resemblance to his half brother. In the books however, Addam is a lot younger than depicted in the show. He was only around the age of 15 years old. Which caused speculation, that Addam could be Laenor's bastard son. He is portrayed in the show as a lot older (maybe late 20's, early 30's).
