Gah damn William Defoe’s portrayal of Green Goblin is perfect. If it wasn’t clear the first time, this movie solidified him as the best SM villain we have seen in film

The reason I think they gave Andrew Garfield More "Love" is because he didn't have a trilogy. He only had two Spider-Man movies, so they have him "more".

This movie was epic but the story was weak imo. The curing them idea being the main plot seemed lazy imo. Still loved watching it though. They showed love to Andrew, boosted the fuck out of Tom, and casted Tobey to the side which sucked a lot. Also, Dr. Strange is trash bro I’m off him
He let MJ Go because by the end of the film he realized he could not live two lives without causing pain in his personal life. So now he is Spider-Man full time. And he will use the symbiote as an energy drink or speed to fight crime 24-7 and that sends him and his friends into directions he never thought they would go.
That Line aunt may dropped was forced. If they set it up in the movie before it would make sense but it just felt like a quick way to make them all connect together over their deaths. With great power comes great responsibility or whatever. Tobey was here for Holland to piggy back off all ramis good ideas.
Although there were many “wtf’s” and “why…how…?” I was still very entertained! I didn’t want it to stop. Such a fun film, and the nostalgia. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Many things I would’ve changed but still glad this exists. B

If you noticed Tobey Spider-Man never let the other 2 Spider-Men beat themselves up. He’s was used to doubting himself, so he knows to give his younger multi version of himself confidence
Specifically for the sling ring you dont have to be trained. Watch Dr Strange. They say with enough focus you could do it. This is why when they had to leave Strange on a freezing cold Mountain he had to figure out how to do it in like 3 minutes or hes dead. Ned using the Sling Ring was completely in line with its established powers in the MCU
Awesome! That means ANYONE with focus can do it! Strange focus = Ned focus! That must be why Strange was so surprised to know Ned opened the portal! STOP.THE.CAP!

With the logic of them curing them and then sending them back that means they could’ve just killed thanos as a baby and everything goes back to normal because you curing them and then sending them back to their world is just going to make things worse. I don’t think Kevin feige really plans out his movies like we thought

Yeah man I loved this movie. It was just pure fun. But listening to them talk about it is kind of depressing. They gave it a B+ but would never guess it from this discussion. These movies are hard to pull off and amazing technical achievements. Feel like you need to give the director some credit here.
@@mikedcxx Esepcially after they get Eternals a good review. They are just not fans of marvel movies. I feel like they talk about them because they are popular. It's like pulling teeth when they talk about Marvel.
@@CadillacBoss30 yeah I was thinking the same thing. I mean I know everyone will experience a movie differently but that was odd just based on their history of reviewing marvel movies. I think we can all agree that the past handful of marvel movies have been average at best. So I thought they would all be gushing over finally having a new great film
Its because they're absolute DC fanboys whos just shits on everything marvel. I tell you about DC fans, they are miserable people. Really don't see what the problem is with him letting go of MJ, that is literally the most spider man accurate shit whether its comics or movies, yall either don't get Spider-Man or just don't understand
8/10 movie but I had the following gripes: 1. Spiderman beating Strange was disgraceful. This was the same Spiderman who was having trouble with Mysterio a few weeks ago. 2. I get the curing aspect and it's a nice idea but Tom Holland not only is now able to defeat the sorceror supreme but he can now cure cancer. How long before he can cure the Hulk? 3. Goblin done "the last ride" to Tom, through several floors of a building. Yet at the end, he gets dealt with fairly easily? 4. I felt the Aunt May death was needed but I have no real attachment to the character, so it felt flat. 5. Tom Holland and Strange botching the spell was weak writing. These guys have just been through the events of Endgame and continue to be this careless? Where's the character development?
I agree with all your points, except maybe #3. The film suggests Tom was "pulling his punches" the first time he fought Goblin, and he was in a full powered rage the 2nd time they fought.
Great review! Honestly for me I couldn’t ask for a better movie. I feel like this isn’t just a Spider-Man movie but it’s also a Peter Parker story as for the curing that is a very Peter Parker characteristic. I feel that they addressed everything that needed to be especially fan-service wise. I also feel that they made this movie to address certain criticisms. It definitely got gritty at times as well and I have more respect for Tom after this. Willem Dafoe is a G and showed that he still has it. Alfred did his thing. Jamie did his as well but I feel could’ve been done better. Lizard I feel they should’ve showed him fighting strange in the sewer, I’m glad Sandman had lines and has his moments. Andrew I have more respect for, Tobey showed why he is the OG and why he is the best Peter out of all of them especially because he’s more mature and seasoned. I was in tears when they came together, loved when they had banter, and I just couldn’t ask for better in my opinion. I was in tears as well at the end when he had the original suit that he finally crafted on his own! Only real problem I have is that they needed to put more respect on Stan Lee’s and Steve Didtko’s name. I’m excited for the next trilogy we finally get to see the Spider-Man we all want to see and love. The movie brought me back as to why I loved Spider-Man as a kid and why he’s my favorite superhero of all-time. This is just my opinion I respect y’all’s review!
HONEST AF REVIEW (and ACCURATE) - I'm glad you guys seen the flaws I did. This movie was my most anticipated movie of the year. I ate up every trailer, movie spot, interviews etc. all the way up to release. Was hyped af. The movie was flat. Willem Dafoe saved the movie. Andrew Garfield - great acting, very emotional in scenes, consistent with his great acting in both TASM movies (shame about the terrible script/effects/screenplay). His intro I initially thought was great, but they give Tobey Maguire the same intro but x10 worse, which cheapened Garfield's intro. Tobey Maguire - arguably the most anticipated part of this movie. They butchered him. He was so stiff. Give him a few nostalgic lines from previous movies, which were appreciated, but I wanted to see him more active (swinging, fighting and shit) and WITH THE FULL SAM SAIMI SUIT. Mask was off more times than Scorpion in MK. His intro was awful. They stabbed him with the glider, has a dramatic scene where he's going to die, but gets back up cracking jokes. DUMB af. Goblin - had the best dialogue, best fight scenes and was consistent with Spider-Man (2002). Fantastic. Electro - Whack. Jamie Foxx glow up? He no longer is a crazy, stuttering dweeb, but Mr. Steal your girl. He saying he never felt as powerful before. He looked the least powerful he's ever been. He was tearing NYC up in TASM2. Shot a few electric jolts in this. Stupid. Doc Ock - Was great. Big up Alfred Molina, but they showed all his best bits in the trailer. I could go on and on. I'm glad they made this movie. But I think any Spider-Man connoisseur could've written a better script.
Mannnn This Movie Was So Damn Good To Me A 60 Year Old Couple was crying tears of Joy to Experience This I Cried when I say Tom With That Classic Suit At The End And William Dafoe Green Goblin Can Be Argued For The Greatest On Screen Villain Of All Time

It made sense to use Strange, because they loosely based it on the OMD/OMIT storyline. FEAST is not just in the game, but the comics. Don't forget Spidey has a "Everyone Lives, Nobody Dies Mantra." It definitely shows in this movie.
Is I not mistaken all of them trained with the rings , so anybody who has the power to do so can. It was hard for him because he wouldn’t let go. He was a control freak. Blocking his ability to do it.
The Russo brothers would have not have had so many plot holes and conveniences. But do the comics adhere to the level of logic you guys expect? Compared to the last 3 Sony ones, this one offers solid entertainment the whole way through.
Y’all are so on point with how they weakened tobey’s spidey sense and gave Tom the most op spidey sense ever being able to sense goblin’s thoughts. The movie had many unnecessary and badly handled moments but I still enjoyed it. The fan service makes me give it a borderline A.
Been waiting on this spoiler review Jody. This movie had plenty of flaws and too much humor in the first half, but overall, I felt that it delivered what the past MCU Spider-Man films didn't and that's Holland becoming the Spider-Man we all know and love. It took a maniac like Dafoe's Green Goblin who was excellent in this movie and the real OG Spider-Men to grow up him up though. I could not be happier how this film ended either because it actually had stakes for Peter Parker. Going forward I can definitely see him facing off with someone like D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk which is something I thought I could ever believe before and I hope we see him cross paths with Matt Murdock in the future as well.
Feel like this review was a little harsh but mostly everything you guys said was accurate. This movie was good but not as good as a lot of people make it out to be. It’s most definitely not the “best Spider-Man movie” like everyone is saying most people are blinded by nostalgia and the hype surrounding this film to accurately review this film. But I have a feeling in a month or 2 a lot of people will come to the same conclusion as you guys.
It's the MCU fanboys who are calling it the best Spiderman movie when it definitely isn't that. Once the hyped dies down the flaws in this movie will be more apparent
@@toogoat9293 No, you just don't keep up with everything that happens in the MCU. But aye at some point it have to be fan service now that the multiverse is opened up due to what happened in Loki tv show and now what happened here. But you can't shit on a movie simply because you don't have all the information and details. That just means you're a bad critic just like alot of other folks. Do your research first before rating.
Hella disrespect to tobey. Man I love this channel! I hate how no one is bringing up that Andrew's uncle Ben never said "with great power comes great responsibility". He said some dumb shit . And Andrew's all trying to fit in with tobey like "yeah thats what uncle Ben said" his bum ass uncle Ben didn't say the right line. Tobey is the best!
its crazy to see how mainstream marvel always gets a pass with plot holes, character inconsistencies & jokes but other marvel content this year that has tried something different (wandavision, eternals, etc) is bashed.
Watch again... 1 asking to dr. Strange people to forget that spiderman is peter parker 2 because peter contain and doing protest, make the incantation is mess then people who searching him (searching spiderman not peter parker), coming out 3 to stop multiverse coming , peter asking dr. strange to forget peter parker not exist ( it means people still know spiderman just not peter parker) Try watch it again... even the story is forced .. but like time heist theory this multiverse spider theory too cannot be approved ... And this have responsible in future for dr.strange multiverse
At what point do we stop critiquing movies just because it has a lot of fan service (3 spider mans), how will we be able to differentiate the bad comic book movies to the good ones if we give everything a pass and “just enjoy the ride”. Civil War and Winter Soldier don’t suffer from the same issues this movie has so naturally we should point them out regardless how big of a event this is. The recency bias I’m seeing from people is funny, man’s are already calling this the best MCU/Spider Man movie of all time
Because people want everyone to agree with them. Especially movie reviewers on UA-cam. They wanna hear all the good and none of the bad. Otherwise you're branded a hater. It's the internet.
Here we got the yes men lol except the Code he coo. The dude next to Code always agree w whatever Jody say lol. Deep down he prolly really love the movie lol but can’t cause Jody got real opinions 😂
Jody cmon bro expectations are off the charts from you here man. Y'all should be grateful tobey even agreed to return. Also your applying anti-hero logic to superheroes. Spider-man is a superhero he won't let villains die you know for a fact Christopher Reeve Superman would try to prevent their death too. Also tobey was awesome in this movie you tripping.
He literally said he came into this movie with low expectations lol. Just because this movie is filled with fan service doesn’t mean it negates any criticism
Superman sent 3 bad guys to their death in Superman 2. Wtf you talking about? "Expectations are off the charts from you here man" Have you seen the hype from this movie?? They're calling this film the best superhero movie ever made!! LMAO
@@JodysCorner the expectations from you are still off the charts. your sounding very ungrateful bro. Aren't you glad tobey didn't show up for 2 minutes and said goodbye like that cw crisis sheet. You get what I'm saying now? Im not disagreeing with you i would have loved to see a fight between tobey and goblin but still your sounding like a edgy teenager who's never grateful.
@@shogunassassin9071 tobey not having a fight with goblin is not criticism, that's a failed expectation. There's a difference. Tobey was here as the wise spider-man who stopped tom from killing and going on a dark path like Andrew. That was his role and they did that perfectly. It was not necessary to show tobey like a badass they needed to give Andrew more respect and have audience like him more because his films weren't as well received as tobey.
From what I've seen the general consensus is that this is a 10/10 best MCU film, greatest Spider-Man movie to date and cements Tom as the GOAT lmao. Its more of an 8 for me. I share your thoughts on Tom. Whilst I feel he has changed since homecoming, it's just not enough and he still exhibits dumb and naive behaviour. I'm very excited for his next films tho as with the way its setup he should come into his own and mature because he's truly alone, no tech or avengers help and in college years. Like I've heard people say, his trilogy has been treated like a super long origin where in his 4th film, he's truly SpiderMAN. 8/10!🕸 Fun very enjoyable movie, with a few things I'd change here and there. Always entertained. Nostalgia/Fan service really carried the 2nd half. Easily the best out the trilogy, excited to see Tom mature now.
Everyone forgetting him was Sony's way of taking him back from the MCU. Also, I called it on the call in show about doc oc taking the nanotech from Peter suit, mikedamus nigga lol
This film relied too much on nostalgia. I’m not a fan of relying on deus ex machinas from magic spells and I hate amnesia story lines which was a big part of this movie. MCU Spider-Man is my least favorite Spider-Man he just doesn’t feel like the real Peter Parker. This was a weird movie that felt like nothing was achieved or accomplished and I didn’t leave the movie liking Spider-Man more. I haven’t really enjoyed any of these Tom Holland spidey movies they’re not epic to me at all.
Jamie foxx can’t act? Has he seen ray and django? But the whole curing them was bs too and the fact ned can do magic isn’t impossible anybody can learn it like anybody but what I also didn’t like was the fact they changed the villains fate like the other ancient one said you can’t change your fate and what purpose did them getting cured serve? Nothing.
jamie foxx got lucky with Ray because he is a good imitator and comedian. Jamie Fox was TRASH as Django. He brought the film down and was outclassed by every actor in that film.
17:05 The initial spell was for everyone to forget he was "SPIDER-MAN". but people who knew Peter Parker would still know and remember "Peter". The ending spell was for everyone to forget they know Peter Parker all together.
Even tho I got emotional, and I got tingles, the film was messy as freak I admit. And dr. strange getting straight up disrespected. That shit unexeptable.
Movie was tight. Really liked it but many flaws like Infinity War and Endgame... Magic "Ned" was straight up stupid. Strange who's a super fast learner was struggling on that mountain for a min before his first portal.
Y’all don’t know anything about Spider-Man and how he is as a character lmaoo, I honestly think that some of y’all wanna not like the film for 0 valid reason, Peter WOULD CURE THE VILLAINS
This is 2021. You don't have to know JACK SQUAT about anything you say on UA-cam. You just have to APPEAR like you know what you're talking about. Your favorite UA-camrs are frauds bruh. Wake up.
I loved this movie. There were some things I didn’t like, but overall it delivered what it needed to and the emotional punch rlly added to it. Somewhere around the B+ to A- range, leaning towards that B+ tho. I’m definitely seeing it again. Shoutout to my lit theater experience too, full of cheering, clapping, and laughter. Also, LOVED Green Goblin in this movie. Also, I’m so tired of Dr. Strange getting disrespected. My guy tried to hold back water and FAILED in endgame, got stripped of his sorcerer supreme title, let Peter mess up his spell, and let spiderman beat him AT HIS OWN GAME IN THE MIRROR DIMENSION using MATH and left him hanging in some webs for 12 HOURS???? Fashoooo. He’s definitely gonna get owned by Wanda and evil Dr. Strange and Mordo in multiverse of madness. Also I think the villains got brought in when they did bc everyone got brought in during their most present moments. The spidermen got brought in at their most present moments, and for the villains their most present moments would’ve had to have been right before they died, minus sandman bc he never died but he never said what he was doing before he came to the mcu.
This movie was highly entertaining regardless of the WTF moments. Goblin showed lil homie who a real one was and force him to grow up. I'm happy 🤣😂🤣 4sho the movie could have been way better tho. It was kinda rush in my opinion
I thought it was fine especially after I watched a video detailing and explaining every "plot hole" in the movie. Ultimately, I'm satisfied with it because I enjoyed it and fresh after watching it I learned everything that people didn't know about. Also as for the Dr Strange lost to Peter is not true for a few reasons: 1. He was NOT trying to hurt or damage Spiderman at all because if he was he would've done what he did in his fight scene in Endgame but not Infinity War since he was putting his all to stop the Infinity Gauntlet on Thanos who beat Hulk in a fist fight without activating a single gem. 2. He underestimates Peter since he's just a kid with no true understanding to him and his skill set and naturally assumes it would be easy to retrieve the item from him. Case and point, at the start of the fight he's casual about the whole thing and is talking to Peter like a little kid more chastising him and was surprised his body was still moving with spirit separated from his body (Spidey Sense is like the web of the multiverse and can sense irregularities in it like a spider sensing a vibration on its web) and has no idea how that works and even then he just sends the cloak after him instead of you know dragging Peter into the ground and sealing it like in Endgame. 3. Peter used a science method to cast a spider web that spins and reformed every time Strange would try to break out of it which in the Mirror Dimension would reform countless times not Infinitely but a lot. Plus minor detail people forget, Strange needs hand symbols to build up the strong spells he casts and can't make them when he's tied up like an infinite amount of times otherwise he would've done it when that one character in Infinity War tied him up but everyone just seems to forget THAT like it didn't happen. 4. And lastly he took Strange's Sling Ring which is his only method of teleporting in the MCU. He's trapped almost infinitely and even when he frees himself at some point and can leave the MD he is still at the Grand Canyon several states away so, yeah, it's actually pretty understandable that he ended up in that scenario given the circumstances. Lastly, if we're gonna talk about characters keeping pace with characters much stronger than them then Tony shouldn't have been able to make Thanos bleed at all. If Iron Man with a Nanosuit can make a guy who shrugged off the Hulk's punches bleed then why complain about this loss based on SEVERAL technicalities?
For context, I've just seen the movie twice now because people were so belligerent during the 1st showing, and even the 2nd. But never in my life did I think E (e-money), would have a better plot than Disney & Sony *combined* I need a minute to process what I've witnessed. Love ya E
Ok I watched some more. Your complaining about the Aunt May death scene and why she got up before she died. She was in shock. She was bleeding to death and didn't know it. Plus it was done this way to fool the audience and make them think that she's ok before revealing that she was actually dieing.
Them overriding the original spell at the end isn't that complicated. The accuracy of a spell depends on exactly what you say and Peter said too much. Since it wasn't a spell that you could just stop, it had to be overwritten with the entirely new spell. It's obviously going to have ramifications after the fact, but that's my understanding of it.
Green Goblin was God Tier !!! Outstanding performance 👌👏 from William Dafoe every single scene he was in was amazing he’s pure Evil ! Terrifying psychotic and complete savage ! He alone made the movie for me. It was also great seeing all three Spider-Man interact with each other especially tobey and Andrew
The beginning spell was wishing people not knowing Peter Parker was spiderman. The ending spell was wishing people forgetting who Peter Parker as a person all together. A little different but still a dumb plot point
Jody, this is how crazy this film was. I agreed with everything you and the League said, and I loved the film and gave it an A, lol. The nastalgia factor won me over, but I definitely acknowledge that the script was weak, Dr. Strange was underused, the humor was hit or miss, and I wish Ned wasn’t brought back from the snap, lol. Also the Aunt May scene definitely didn’t work because we had no idea she was injured. After saying all of that….I still did love the film…but I’m a fanboy, so my grade is definitely skewed. 😃 ✌🏾
Some of your takes are weak, and allow me to elaborate. Dr. Strange wasn't underused, he was definitely involved and trying to stop Spiderman and just got outsmarted temporarily causing him to be trapped in his Mirror Dimension for the time being. You need to actually put yourself in these character shoes instead of just watching it in third view perspective. The Aunt May worked in a creative way. Only you had no idea Aunt May was injured after clearly being strucked by Gobins glider. You didn't stop to think oh shit, she's dead. You had no idea she was injured lol. Another brainless viewer who have no idea why he/she is complaining.
It's not a perfect movie, no movie ever is but it's my favorite MCU movie. I went in for Tobey and Andrew but I loved that their roles were supporting characters for the last 40 or so minutes of the movie. It was just enough for the nostalgia as well as even adding a bit more depth to them, but it wasn't too much to completely take away Tom's movie. I felt like this movie addressed every single issue I had with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, to where he's now where a Peter Parker should be. On his own, having made his own suit with no Stark tech BS and listening to police scanners to be a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Begrudgingly I'd say that Spider-Man's entire MCU journey up to this point was one giant origin in itself and now we can see Spider-Man how he should be going forward. Tom did his thing in my opinion, as did everyone else especially Willem DeGoat. 9/10 movie.
Also they are not retelling the toby story because, mary jane knew peter and knew who peter was. They took away everyone memories of peter period. Like peter does not even exist which is why he had to take his GED and why he didn't get into MIT. So when he made them forget, the original spell would have made them forget peter was spidey. The first time mj figured out that peter was spiderman. Remember she said i figured it out before i will figure it out again. The fact that he didn't even tell her who he was as peter at the end, she no longer has the opportunity to figure it out because she don't even know peter.
I feel like marvel felt as if tobey just being there was enough and Andrew needed to redeem himself cause his movies were the worst but he was the best actor of the 3 and we needed more web slinging
Remember that Doctor Strange 2 was originally supposed to come out before Spider-Man, and deals with the multiverse too. My theory is that the events of that film would have given a more organic reason for Strange's spell in No Way Home than what we got. If Spider-Man was just MCU, they would have pushed all the films back and released in the correct order, but Sony insisted on the December release for Spider-Man and screwed up the continuity between the two films. Note that both films have had reports of a lot of reshoots and rewriting on set. Just my opinion.
This movie has many flaws but I enjoyed it overall as a spider-man fan. I'm very critical of tom holland and he was still on his bs but he was better imo and got some development. I'm interested in seeing what they will do with him but it looks like there gearing towards the spidey we want. MY boy Tobey was completely disrespected imo but it was still good to see him and Andrew in the same scene that shit had me in tears. Willem Dagoat showed why he's that nigga. He was carrying this movie for me but overall I enjoyed it despite it's flaws. It's between and A- or B+ right now but I gotta give it that rewatch.
No Ben Parker, no Mary Jane in the mcu Spider-Man… why?!? Because in the original agreement Sony had with marvel was no you do not have the permission to use uncle Ben, Mary Jane and Harry Osborne. We will not license them to you. Just Peter and aunt may. That’s it. So marvel said ok we’ll do a Spider-Man variant and we’ll slowly transition him into a more traditionally seasoned Spider-Man that we all know and love. I was thinking that eventually Tom hand/ Peter Parker will meet Mary Jane. The zendaya/Michelle Jones was pretty much Gwen in this universe
The reason they all come before they died was because peter said everyone that knew peter was spiderman forget. They all knew he was spiderman when they died.
Tobey should’ve defo fought Goblin and they missed a opportunity to bring back James Franco’s Harry Osborn and have him stop the fight between Goblin and Tobey then after Goblin gets cured you could’ve had an epic emotional moment between Norman and Harry and also a Emotional moment between Harry and Tobeys Peter
What I don't get is when Strange first casted the spell, he was actually willing to change it so Zendaya and Ned can only remember him and the rest can forget. But Tom mentioned happy and aunt may then changed it again so Strange threw out that spell and kept saying to him "stop changing the spell.... " This could of all been avoided if he kept his original request of just letting Ned and Zendaya know he's spiderman only.. FUCK what Aunt may thinks or Happy.
They literally brought sandman back from spiderman 3 if you paid attention you could see It was straight cgi from spiderman 3, I’m guessing the actor couldn’t be there so they used his voice
Man I was disappointed to see what they did to Tobey. I knew they was gonna nerf him but not to this extent. Andrew got some time to shine which was cool. If Dafoe wasn't in this movie it wouldn't of worked as well as it did. Still had a good time I would give it around a B+. Looking forward to where Tom's Spiderman goes from here
MCU stans are so lame they had the Flash movie trending saying WBs might as well not drop it because it’ll be hard to beat but the films story and plot is completely different and if we being real if I was WBs and DC I’d be rubbing my hands like birdman because I see an open gate to have a much better film because No Way Home was great to watch but the story and plot was in fact weak
One thing I didn’t get is how did venom end up in the movie if it was only the villains who knew Peter was Spider-Man ended up there and venom didn’t know Peter was Spiderman
* SPOILER FOR VENOM 2* --- I mean at the end of Venom 2 venom tells eddie how he has 80 mil years of experience from different world or something, so one could assume that maybe the symbiote has seen or interacted with a spiderman from another world/universe (maybe the same symbiote from tobeys spidey 3? :O)
The symbiotes have something similar to a hive mind. The topher grace venom from spider man 3 knew who spiderman was so the tom hardy venom also knows who spider man is
just watched the movie and TBH it didn't live up to the hype for me....I also thought it was weird how Dr. Strange took an L to Spidey and I didn't like how they shoved all the fan service down our throats when the 3 Spidermans got together. I just felt very forced. There were a few good moments in the movie but I this movie pales in comparison to the Sam Rami trilogy. Also, I did not like how they introduced the other 2 Spidermans, I would have loved to see more out of Tobey. Come to think about it, I felt almost the same way after watching this movie as I did after watching Star Wars Episode 7 (utter disappointment)
They made our nigga Tobey like a washed nba player that was tight back in their day. I was mad at that. I wanted all the side characters to get murked. If everyone forgets Peter Parker doesn’t that video mysterio made still exist 🤔. Our nigga Goblin was putting them hands on that boy. Straight Mink Mink lol
Great discussion. A mediocre (5/10) movie that relies too much on nostalgia to keep you interested. If it wasnt for the nostalgia this wouldnt even be worth watching. There's too much missing potential with this movie. It didnt click on a high level.
Gah damn William Defoe’s portrayal of Green Goblin is perfect. If it wasn’t clear the first time, this movie solidified him as the best SM villain we have seen in film

This movie was epic but the story was weak imo. The curing them idea being the main plot seemed lazy imo. Still loved watching it though. They showed love to Andrew, boosted the fuck out of Tom, and casted Tobey to the side which sucked a lot. Also, Dr. Strange is trash bro I’m off him
TOM's next film is something im excited for.
He let MJ Go because by the end of the film he realized he could not live two lives without causing pain in his personal life. So now he is Spider-Man full time. And he will use the symbiote as an energy drink or speed to fight crime 24-7 and that sends him and his friends into directions he never thought they would go.

Yeah man I loved this movie. It was just pure fun. But listening to them talk about it is kind of depressing. They gave it a B+ but would never guess it from this discussion. These movies are hard to pull off and amazing technical achievements. Feel like you need to give the director some credit here.

8/10 movie but I had the following gripes:

I love Tobey but imo Andrew stole the show.
Tom was great too
HONEST AF REVIEW (and ACCURATE) - I'm glad you guys seen the flaws I did.
You should start a movie review channel.

It made sense to use Strange, because they loosely based it on the OMD/OMIT storyline.
FEAST is not just in the game, but the comics.
Don't forget Spidey has a "Everyone Lives, Nobody Dies Mantra." It definitely shows in this movie.
The fact that this movie had so many flaws and it’s still good really disappoints me of how great it could’ve been

Even with all its flaws, this movie scores high!
"gave Tom the most op spidey sense ever being able to sense goblin's thoughts" lol

I haven’t really enjoyed any of these Tom Holland spidey movies they’re not epic to me at all.
Guy to the left of Jody has to speak louder I can't hear him🗣️🔊
Jamie foxx can’t act? Has he seen ray and django? But the whole curing them was bs too and the fact ned can do magic isn’t impossible anybody can learn it like anybody but what I also didn’t like was the fact they changed the villains fate like the other ancient one said you can’t change your fate and what purpose did them getting cured serve? Nothing.
jamie foxx got lucky with Ray because he is a good imitator and comedian. Jamie Fox was TRASH as Django. He brought the film down and was outclassed by every actor in that film.
@@JodysCorner ima have to disagree but I can understand that but check out the rest of my comments as well let me know what you think
5:06 E? You sure it was tight? You facial expression said otherwise 🤣

The initial spell was for everyone to forget he was "SPIDER-MAN". but people who knew Peter Parker would still know and remember "Peter".
The ending spell was for everyone to forget they know Peter Parker all together.
Why do these guys hate Tom Holland spidey?
Wake up.
Love 🥰 this film!!! Seeing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back!! Was just magic for me!!! 😍😍👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Squeezy!
@@JodysCorner sup Superman. I really enjoyed the review. It's was honest and fair
I thought it was fine especially after I watched a video detailing and explaining every "plot hole" in the movie. Ultimately, I'm satisfied with it because I enjoyed it and fresh after watching it I learned everything that people didn't know about.
Also as for the Dr Strange lost to Peter is not true for a few reasons:
But never in my life did I think E (e-money), would have a better plot than Disney & Sony *combined*
I need a minute to process what I've witnessed. Love ya E
Ok I watched some more. Your complaining about the Aunt May death scene and why she got up before she died. She was in shock. She was bleeding to death and didn't know it. Plus it was done this way to fool the audience and make them think that she's ok before revealing that she was actually dieing.
It was done to prevent children from crying in the theater and keep a soft pg-13 rating. Poorly executed
@@JodysCorner What was done? She still died on screen.
It was also great seeing all three Spider-Man interact with each other especially tobey and Andrew
i wonder if garfield will be back as the sony spiderman. id be down
The beginning spell was wishing people not knowing Peter Parker was spiderman.
Im pretty sure she does get hit with the glider
I was so confused at that scene lmao I was like is she dying or playing a prank? I really couldn't tell 😂
@@UltimateQball Its but weak, it’s just my opinion. We’re allowed to have different opinions on topics.
@@Blackcat0721 Okay dude lol.
Was a big let down that they didn't use this raimi theme 😭 or even zimmers
They did all of this for Sony could get Spider-Man back
I feel like marvel felt as if tobey just being there was enough and Andrew needed to redeem himself cause his movies were the worst but he was the best actor of the 3 and we needed more web slinging
These dudes don't know what character development in a story entails😂
You sound like a typical fanboy lol
Before i watched..I gave this movie an A-/B+ I float that line
Well now that all this kiddy stuff is over I can't wait for the next spiderman that suit at the end is money 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the first Tom Holland Spiderman movie I ever watched and my last movie
This was trash and they wasted Tobey
The reason they all come before they died was because peter said everyone that knew peter was spiderman forget. They all knew he was spiderman when they died.
Tobey should’ve defo fought Goblin and they missed a opportunity to bring back James Franco’s Harry Osborn and have him stop the fight between Goblin and Tobey then after Goblin gets cured you could’ve had an epic emotional moment between Norman and Harry and also a Emotional moment between Harry and Tobeys Peter
Give me a Dafoe’s Goblin and Kenton’s Vulture team-up against all three Spider-Mans and let’s re-do this thing!!
I liked the movie, but definitely keeping ETERNALS as the #1 MCU movie of all time. Im really hyped to see what they do with daredevil🔥
ETERNALS is your favorite MCU movie??? Damn
@@Comatose_Rat Mine too!
The first spell was “people will forget Peter Parker was spiderman” second spell “people forget Peter Parker” completely like completely
Goblin is the badass to perfection
You guys are having a lot of audio issues
You guys are hella funny I love watching this show!! "Waited for tobey to get stabbed" lmao.
thank you green goblin for beatin this spiderman into adulthood haha
What I don't get is when Strange first casted the spell, he was actually willing to change it so Zendaya and Ned can only remember him and the rest can forget. But Tom mentioned happy and aunt may then changed it again so Strange threw out that spell and kept saying to him "stop changing the spell.... " This could of all been avoided if he kept his original request of just letting Ned and Zendaya know he's spiderman only.. FUCK what Aunt may thinks or Happy.
Disney should just recast Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield ASAP.
They literally brought sandman back from spiderman 3 if you paid attention you could see It was straight cgi from spiderman 3, I’m guessing the actor couldn’t be there so they used his voice
The movie was good, but over-hyped. I still rank the 1st movie of this trilogy the best .
Man I was disappointed to see what they did to Tobey. I knew they was gonna nerf him but not to this extent. Andrew got some time to shine which was cool. If Dafoe wasn't in this movie it wouldn't of worked as well as it did. Still had a good time I would give it around a B+. Looking forward to where Tom's Spiderman goes from here
Now that the multiverse is out, if Sony wanted to, they could do another Tobey movie on another Earth, or another Andrew movie on another Earth.
This movie was so dumb
The movie definitely wasn't perfect but was still great!
Forgot about daredevil wasn’t super important tho
Lets go thought I had to wait till monday
Glad to see this early
One thing I didn’t get is how did venom end up in the movie if it was only the villains who knew Peter was Spider-Man ended up there and venom didn’t know Peter was Spiderman
Neither does electro
@@TJKCreative yeah so how did both of them end up there
* SPOILER FOR VENOM 2* --- I mean at the end of Venom 2 venom tells eddie how he has 80 mil years of experience from different world or something, so one could assume that maybe the symbiote has seen or interacted with a spiderman from another world/universe (maybe the same symbiote from tobeys spidey 3?
But it doesn’t ride on nostalgia
