It literally (actual literally) hurts me to hear zelda crying in japanese, it feels like if someone is pressing against my chest
i've seen this trailer like a jillion times and it gets the same response everytime
Literally everyone else: IT'S TIME FOR *HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE!!!*
Him: "Look at that fox!"
Haven't been that excited for a fox since I played Star Fox for the first time.
Speechless tears of joy. Same reaction I had. Ive been waiting anxiously since 2014. So seeing how well this game has turned out and how much incredible effort and time was put into this really struck a cord. The music has never been so good in any Zelda game. Im so blown away
One of the absolute best trailers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
5 years later it's still amazing.

I know ma man but honestly I just discovered this game 3 months ago and I thought switch was a console for noobs but seeing this changed my mind
wow no one knew that age of calimity would be out in november 20th 2020
Best trailer till that Day. So emotional
Dude is looking at the comments more than the actual trailer.
BOTW is the most epic Zelda game in the franchise. The trailer delivered exactly what it promised. Completely open world, sick graphics and shit voice acting from all cast involved except for Impa’s voicing.
This game was amazing but I can't help but feel it was a stepping stone to the next game. A test and nothing else. With this understanding now, Nintendo will create a new Zelda game with deeper story more music and larger dungeons, while keeping the survival elements of botw. That's my hope
Well we’ll see now that the BOTW 2 trailer is out :)
A "test"? Maybe for you. Botw is the greatest game ive ever played.
@@TheAlibabatree I'll have to agree with OP. Don't get me wrong, the game doesn't fall short at all at being absolutely amazing, but to be honest the trailer was building up for a more epic, action-packed, emotional and gritty story when that wasn't what BOTW really was (tho I still wouldn't have the trailer any other way). BOTW is moreso set in a somber, post-apocalyptic setting where Link is basically forced to explore the long-dead corpse of the world he once lived in 100 years ago. The story is still action-packed, but in my honest opinion, is still a little lackluster- which is totally reasonable since Nintendo seemed to have put most of their efforts into making fleshed-out gameplay. It would make sense that Nintendo would ensure a modern-day Zelda title (which would have high expectations) have the best gameplay, and because of that they didn't focus too much on the story and character development. Nonetheless, while the story is just not amazing, that doesn't downplay how incredible this feat of a game is, and I really can't fuckin wait what Nintendo has in store for BOTW 2 and it's story.
Not for me. Not for nintendo either if you read their interviews. This was OOT for them. I also bet we are going to need botw to fully enjoy botw2. Which i hope doesn't happen but it does make sense.
@@gibn1542 that doesn't make botw a stepping stone or an incomplete game as the OP implied. Just a game with different priorities. You said yourself they couldn't give us all because they focused on gameplay which is what a game is. Of course a sequel always goes bigger and it should but that doesn't make the game before it a tech demo. Every game has its own priorities.
A sequel builds upon the last game. Botw itself was a new start for zelda series so it isn't technically a sequel itself from game dev point of view. The trailer does kinda over do it. But the story in botw was epic and tragic and has a lore has a lot of depth and i am glad they are returning to explore this particular zelda era further. But the story had its own way of being told because nintendo wanted to create a totally free game where you can do stuff in any order, even end it right in the start.
Everyone's reaction to the trailer:
IS THAT A FOX?????
Really epic
Nintendo changed how open world was viewed and the way of making video.
