I like the magic guy. Forgot his name (Koizumi, I think?), but I like him. Wouldn't mind if he became a new presenter or something for Nintendo Directs or summat. He's got a nice chill air about him that really works, and it different enough from Iwata's way of doing things to not feel like he's just copying him. Iunno, may be the only one who feels that. :u
I would like to point out the Switch is technically the most versatile and powerful handheld console created up to this point. Not to mention that it's game library will likely be fantastic down the line. So if you're a fan of handheld gaming, this is a win. Home console wise? I personally still like it, though I can see how some might not.
arms looks sick, mario odyssey looks sick, botw looks sick, splatoon 2 looks sick, xenoblade 2 looks sick, fuck me Nintendo youre gonna give me a disease with all this sick. The launch months are a little bare but the year as a whole is fuller than the wii U ever was in its launch year, I'll pick one up in the summer when theres a handful of titles I want.
I don't know if there are any Just Dance fans here, but since you technically have two controllers now, I wonder if they'll make it so that both of your hands get tracked and not just the right one in the Just dance game for Switch
At this point whether I buy at launch depends solely on how competent the WiiU version of Zelda will be. At the latest I will need one for Mario Odyssey; that's a system seller for me
I have a good feeling about this. After looking at the games coming out for it I am very optimistic. Mario Odyssey actually looks cool. Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest and that new JRPG looks great. I'm excited.
Although my opinion differs greatly from those of Fraser and Becky, there is no one else I'd rather watch streams like this with :) Thanks for doing the show guys. I hope you come back around to Nintendo someday, hopefully before you miss out on TOO many incredible games. :)
Pre-ordered my Switch and Zelda from the local GameStop yesterday, though it's coming to Finland on March 26th. Not even mad. Just gonna have more time to play games I'm getting for my birthday at the end of February. :P
57:56 to 59;26 - Frasher's excitement for 'Project Octopath Traveler' actually matches my own. "I want it!" 1:17:10 In addition to that, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild trailer having Japanese voice acting both with Narration, a stranger(?) talking, and Princess Zelda's voice making the trailer very emotional for me, especially during that moment she cries into Links chest, in comparison to having seen the English version trailer which seems like a half-assed performance with barely a sound during the crying part compared to the animation and body language. I hope that Japanese voices will be an option in the NA release. Also, Voice acting! YAY! Finally a Nintendo game with potentially a lot of voice acting, it's about time!
Love your channel @farfromsubtle you have the best setup and just the content you guys push out is legendary going all the way back to PlayStation 3 last of us and so many more amazing memories on your channel. Zelda is the best franchise I ever got lost in it's fantasy world and memorable characters and amazing dialogue even from npcs there's so much to the games that keep me motivated wanting to always come back and play Zelda. Hope you are all doing well
looks good. Apart from the battery life and the rumor that 3ds games won't run on it (which is upsetting but fair enough), the system will suit nearly anyone and the games on launch are the best nintendo have done since n64.
i'm super excited for MArio Odyssey and Breath of the Wild obviously i'm so excited for Xenoblade 2, No More Heroes 3, Arms, Splatoon 2, and Fire Emblem Warriors to a lesser extent. can't wait to see the new Shin Megami Tensei either
I'm kinda on board, will be the 1st Nintendo console I get when it came out since I think the N64. Mainly because Zelda, a few others though. Ok, so originally I was just going to get a cheap used Wii U and get Zelda for that. I thought you'd be able to get it for around $100 or so used, lol, nope, cheapest I've seen it is around $200, maybe a few under that. Might as well just get the Switch then, and have a slightly better looking Zelda. I just got an Xbox One though, eeeesh, expensive hobby.. Especially for Frash, sheesh, around $1000..
As a Nintendo fan, I'm totally into the Nintendo Switch, but the line up is a little weak. If you're into it but still not really sure, I recommend you wait until 2018. Just as a friendly advice.
Welp, as expected for us Scandinavians. Back when it launched, the PS3 was around 900 USD. Apparently, pre-ordering the Switch here in Norway costs around 4000kr. Dunno if that's the actual price, but nevertheless I very much doubt I'm gonna have the money to buy it at launch anyway.
I'm interested in the tech of the Switch (aside from the motion controls), but the typical lack of games on launch is typically disappointing and confusing. I don't know why they don't wait until summer to release the system, so there are a few more games on launch. The pay to play online is major downer, too. Hopefully, that does not apply to local play.
Mediocrity all around. The console specs are more than mediocre while the price is fairly big. The games are just doing more of the same instead of taking some risks, instead of going for some new games. I don't see how this is going to be successful, not even with their full blown nostalgia usage...
Razv T I know right Mario and Zelda and.....xenoblade I guess but that game was not successful on Wii and fire emblem has never been on console so don't see full blown nostalgia although the rest is your opinion
They weren't announced but they're out there, I'd be surprised if every media outlet got it wrong. Besides that, 720p screen and 3h of gaming battery life for $300 is a joke. Zelda indeed does look great, thankfully it's on the Wii U as well, so the Switch can be avoided...
fire emblem HAS been on consoels before: the Wii, the Famicom and Super Famicom(japanese NES & SNES), and the GameCube. it never started going to handhelds only until Awakening Xenoblade is a cult classic which didn't perform well for wii because they never put out enough copies for it because they never thought it was goign to be that much of a hit.
Well done Nintendo. You finally out financed me. I can't afford your new product, especially as the cost of switch games are higher and there may or may not be online fees.
1:01:34 Welp, he's fired.

But yes. The Japanese crowd watching the live show are very reserved.
They don't do clapping or random whooping XD
They're probably businessmen and investors and whatnot.
DigitalFumbles
Yeah I thought so. Very serious.
DigitalFumbles you can see that most of them are in fancy suits

Nah you're not the only one. I'd also like to see him in future presentations.
Those awkward moments, that is why I love Nintendo!
I Loved Minish Cap...

1:38 I love how you can clearly see Becky says “oh my god” whilst laughing
1:22:59 it's the same mario, it had the same mexico local as in the trailer
I don't know if there are any Just Dance fans here, but since you technically have two controllers now, I wonder if they'll make it so that both of your hands get tracked and not just the right one in the Just dance game for Switch
Sorry you're still sick buddies, get better soon!
At this point whether I buy at launch depends solely on how competent the WiiU version of Zelda will be. At the latest I will need one for Mario Odyssey; that's a system seller for me
Switch is 400€ in Finland, Pro Controller is 100€. I can pay 400€ for Switch, no problem. But 100€ for a CONTROLLER?! o_O
I have a good feeling about this. After looking at the games coming out for it I am very optimistic. Mario Odyssey actually looks cool. Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest and that new JRPG looks great.
I'm excited.
MsAbixxx Hopefully the Switch gets a lot of RPGs, especially Tales and Kingdom Hearts
The switch in the treehouse stream had like a 250 GB microsd
excuse you, minish cap is my favourite 2D zelda ever.
A legend of Zelda game with not Zelda in the trailer but Links sister?, you never know lol.
You're fucking funny dude.. I had no idea.

47:40 New Mario game reaction!
I heard the translator died or passed out while translating because he had so much pressure
When Nintendo does go towards VR, will they release VirtuaBoy games on the virtual console?
Fraser doesn't even look excited about Zelda BotW oh man.
It's $400 Canadian. -_- Oh well, I ordered it anyways.

I would much rather have N64 type of mario than galaxy. the movement felt so restrictive to me
Fraser is tired or looks and sounds tired
looks good. Apart from the battery life and the rumor that 3ds games won't run on it (which is upsetting but fair enough), the system will suit nearly anyone and the games on launch are the best nintendo have done since n64.
I hope you guys come to Toronto! it would be an honour and privilege to meet you! 😊
i'm super excited for MArio Odyssey and Breath of the Wild obviously
i'm so excited for Xenoblade 2, No More Heroes 3, Arms, Splatoon 2, and Fire Emblem Warriors to a lesser extent.
can't wait to see the new Shin Megami Tensei either
the PlayStation 2 came out March 4th

The voice was so deep for Fraser
Omfg, I've been a fan since 2010 yet UA-cam keeps unsubscribing me.
Like please.
Stop. Dx
The PS3 launched in March in UK
From what I understand is with spatoon 2 ther introduced an ult like thing to it like the jetpacks

The new games coming are great, but launch is really going to suck. Plus, $70 for a Pro Controller and $80 for the joy-cons? What?!
Just got a pro and vr now this no wonder I have no money.
I'm intrigued
genuine good third party coming about
best game 1,2 Switch GOTY lol
been a long time frazer defends nintendo.
Is there a video of you guys with the Switch Dog trailer?
The Switch by itself in Sweden is 4995kr (730 CAD) :(
Welp, as expected for us Scandinavians. Back when it launched, the PS3 was around 900 USD.

Josh Wilson They Haven't stopped
They do.
They do, you just missed it. I watched it live on youtube yesterday between 11 pm and midnight
Fire Emblem Warriors!!

I got a bad feelin' about this.
Well done Nintendo. You finally out financed me. I can't afford your new product, especially as the cost of switch games are higher and there may or may not be online fees.
The presentation was pretty bad, it doesn't even have a lot of titles on launch lol
80% of this was pretty bad IL get the console cheap from a pawn shop
PS4 ALL DAY NO COMPETITION !!
Mario has felt heavy to me in the newer games, excluding the mobile one. This new one looks way worse, though.
Not impressed at all, it only has like 2 games at launch, and the accessories are too expensive. Just go mobile Nintendo.
I'll consider buying it in the future, but, as of now, nothing has my interest except Zelda And Mario Odyssey
welp.that was underwhelming
what an awful conference
