- 2020 Ride Warpig or Superpig? Ain't that the question of the year? I know, we are all indecisive too. BUT fear not, for we have Mike Oelkers to put some sense to all of this and pair us with the perfect pig.

Got the super pig in an XL, I'm 6'5" 215 lbs. Only on my second day but I've never been on a more stable board that just wants to rip anything. I've thrown moguls, trees, jumps, bowls, pow, and rails at it and it kills. Best board I've ridden.
Can't go wrong with a pig variation!!!
Yeah so toplesstopsheet is no Bueno! I have the super pig and upon initial inspection was leery about how tough the top sheet would be and as described in Ride's claim above. Well my hunch was correct...anything above a sneeze will scratch the top sheet. Just mounting the bindings will wear away the graphic! I have six days on the board and lift line damage looks like 6 years worth...even have a delam on the nose. I really hope Ride get's rid of that or improve upon it to make it durable. I put a coats of paint on there just to clean it up. Shame as board is amazing but having spent a pretty penny on that deck I'm sour and likely will not to get it again unless it's improved.
Have you reached out to Ride about your topsheet? Beyond the topsheet issue, how did the Warpig ride for you?
similar story with my family tree HTH; but hey, it is so much less eco friendly so yeah...it is what it is!
Great video guys picking up the warpig next week cant wait to get it on the snow.
Let us know how it goes bro!
I don’t know which one to get, and the size. I am 5’10, 190-200lbs, size 10.5 us mens, and an intermediate rider. I currently run a Burton custom camber 158W, I love carving and going fast. Maybe the Superpig 151? Unless that’s more for expert riders? So maybe the Warpig 151?
So has the topsheet chipping issue been fixed?
my machete is a mess, and I've only ridden 15 days. I'm very careful, no crazy cues, my only disappointment with the board,
Same with my Twinpig.. chipped on 2nd time riding it and didn't hit anything..
It's not just the chipping that's the problem. It's the cracking. My warpig cracked /snapped just after 3 days of riding. 😭😩
@@romanlovett5367 did you try to warranty it? I contacted them and I got no love on my end.
Crazy. Did you get it warrantied from Ride?!
I am 5'10" 275 size 10ft, should I get 154 or 158?
Mike said he outways the Medium but goes shorter for fun sometimes. I outway the Large, but feel like the shorter size might be fun for a groomed/pow rider like myself...but I am afraid it will be too short the second I get in the deep stuff. I really need an all-mountain board as I follow skiers across the entire mountain - pow, groomed, and trees. I may just be too big for the Large and have to go XL. XL is shorter than my regular size anyways, so it'll probably still feel small and fun. As you can see, I am quite conflicted, would really love an expert opinion.
I would stick with the XL, Mike does sometime ride the smaller board for those park and easy cruising groomer days but he also has the opportunity to ride many different boards. For the kind of riding you are wanting to do the bigger board will be more stable at higher speeds and more board ALWAYS means more float when you get it in the pow. Like you said its still going to be shorter than what you are used to riding so you are still going to have an easier time whipping that thing around no matter where you are riding. I'd say the only reason to go down to the 154 is if you ride park a lot, which it doesn't sound like that's your main focus. Hope that helped!

Hi i am 6’ tall and weigh 185 should I go with Medium or Large?
Probably the Medium, Just down size up to 10cm from what you usually ride. Im 5'11", 200lbs and rode the 148.🤷♂️
Yada yada yada
Hi, first, thank you for a good review. I am 182 cm and 80 kg. Now I am riding a burton custom 160size. I think it is too long to me. I'm going to buy warpig for more comfortable rides, tricks and parks. Which one would you recommend, either 151 or 154?
That board is quite big for you. Get the 151 Warpig, and I suggest maybe getting rid of that Custom and getting a 154.
@@thehouse Im 194cm and 76 kg. Should I get the 151 or the 154? Also I love your videos :)
Alright guys I got to ride my war pig after the snowstorm azekiel dropped 27 inches of snow in up state NY and I have to say I love the board. Great Edge hold very responsive and smooth ride can't wait to take it out to Colorado in February. But in the meantime gonna break it in more here on the ice coast.... lol... peace
heck yeah
I'm upstate also, how is the edge hold on skidding stops or speed checks on ice?
I had no issues with it on the icy groomed trails at hunter mtn in NY
Recommendation for all mountain snow boots? I got the warpig with Union strata bindings. Thanks in advanced!!
Adidas Samba's are some nice all-mountain boots! Finely priced as well.

Adidas Tactical Lexicon's are also really great, versatile, all-mountain boots. Slightly more expensive than the Samba's, but well worth it for the Boost alone.

So for an overall board favoring just riding what would you go with. Also I’m 5’11-6ft 190lbs would you say 154 or 158
You can down size up to 10cm on that thing. I'm the same height as you and about 10lbs heavier and i rode the 148 in the Warpig with no problems at all. I know it can be a little weird to wrap your mind around but no need to go any bigger than the 151cm though.
@@thehouse so warpig or superpig? For ride dominant with some ability to mess around
Hey guys, Im 6’3” weighing 210 lbs and have size 13 boots. Should I get the 154 or 158?
158.
Hi guys, Im binge watching your videos since Ive found you. :)
I have a question tho. Im about to buy the warpig. Shoudl I get the 151 or the 154 version? (Im 194cm and 75 kg)
154!
@@thehouse but would 151 be better for my weight? Im hearing different opinions everywhere :D
@@skahww1036 Hi Peter, I am 185cm and 77KG and got the 154. I absolutely hated it and sold it after a few days riding because it felt like a tree trunk under my feet. Based on my experience I would recommend the 151. Hope you have a better experience
Adrian Hodel and what size do u have now? Because most people say that 154 would be better, because I want good stability at high speed. And shouldn’t it be already more movable, because you ride this pig-series way shorter? Normally I would need around 160+
Adrian Hodel forgot to say Hi and thanks for your help :D
i was wondering what size i should buy in the superpig i'm 6' weighing between 190-195
You may want to look into the 158 or maybe look into the 159 MTNPIG.
Would this be a good all around board? Looking at the superpig
It is a great all around board! It will go all over the mountain and it can hang in the park.

What size would you suggest for me? 142 or 148? I'm 5'5" weighing at 140lbs.
The 148 would be good I think.
I'm 5"7 165lbs what length should I go for? and which one is good for deep powder and speed curving?
You could probably ride the 154!

Hey I'm 173cm and 72kg what would be a good size for me for the superpig?
I would check out the 148
Hey guys I’m a 5,9” 180 lbs, size 11 boots and I am currently riding a 156 Rosignol One Mag. I’m looking into the War Pig what size should I consider? 148 or 151.
151!
Hi I’m 178cm tall (5”10), 73-76kg (162-165lbs). Would I go 148 or 151? Really in doubt?
151!
The House Outdoor Gear Thx guys, keep the entertaining reviews up
Hey guys, I’m 6ft, size 12 US boots and 140lbs. I like to Ride side hits and play around not too much powder. 148 or 151? Thanks !
151 or so. Definitely gong to want to go with a wide too.
The House Outdoor Gear is that due to my shoe size? As I’m pretty light, will the 151 still be playful and perform well in park and sidehits? Cheers for the reply
Hey looking to buy warpig not sure what size to get. Usually ride a 157.
I am a size 9 boot and 6ft and about 82kg. Should I get the 151 or the 154?
The 154 would work great.
Thanks for reply I ended up ordering the 151 the other day and arrived today.
Abit confused as On website it says would be fine for my weight in between 59-86kg but when I opened snowboard up label on base said differently said 45-79kg is for 151. Thinking 151 is to small for me now. Any help would be appreciated as might have to send back.
@@barrymann5066 not an employee but it would depend on where you ride and how you ride. If you intend to rip it, spin it, and throw it around that size is good for you. If you more of a euro carving freerider who gets a lot of pow days, I would size up.
@@neil_b4_zod cheers for your advice have decided to get the ride twinpig 154.
actually just ordered it today ha.
Was hard to pick as i was going to get the salmon huck knife.
As never had a short wide board before but looking to get something different from my capita d.o.a. hopefully made the right choice. 👌
@@barrymann5066 twinpig is definitely fun. I doubt you'll regret it. The twinpig is pretty versatile as well.
What exactly does a bit more aggressive mean?
When you flex the board it will want to snap back quicker. In and out of turns and when you load it up to jump it.
Thank you. What are the advantages of that? More pop and stability?
@@ZakFerris definitely more pop but not just off jumps. In and out of turns too.
Im 6' x 190. Medium or large or the super?
Go super!!!
@@thehouse i'm the same exact size 6' 190-195 what size board should i get in the super pig?
Looking at the war pig for next season, will you guys stock them?? Also I'm 194cm 105kg size 12 boot. Should I be looking to order the 158?
Most def. No, look into getting a shorter size because of the volume shift. Ride recommends sizing down 10cm from your normal size on their volume shift boards.
I am 6’2 and 185lbs with a size 13 boot. What size would you guys recommend, the 154 or the 158? I ride all mountain and love the jumps in the park. Thanks!
If you are spending most of your time in the park the 154 would be perfect.
@@thehouse And if I only cruise through the park for the occasional kicker but prefer groomers and all mountain stuff what would you recommend?
@@Johnatlanticism go with the 158, never can hurt to have more stability and effective edge!
@@thehouse Good call thank you for the response!
im in a pickle.... i cant decide what size to get. im 195lbs. 5'11". do i get the 154 or 158. i want that fun playfull board on the mountain and in the trees
I think you should go with the 158.
154 warpig is good to 200lb
Will do....
Will do.
got my board waiting on the my local mtns to open but taking it to Colorado in February.. can't get here fast enough
