2020 Ride Warpig Vs Twinpig
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 жов 2024
- The 2020 Ride Pig Series consists of 4 boards that all have unique properties and attributes. The Twin Pig and the Warpig may be cousins but they have some differences that are important to note. Both boards have very wide waist widths because of their volume shift stories. The Twin Pig differs from the Warpig with its asymmetrical design and camber in its profile shape. The Warpig has a tapered build/sidecut and also has carbon where the Twinpig lacks it.

I’m 6’0 and 210 pounds and I bought the 151 twin pig and it’s been amazing. Been riding it all year and haven’t had a single chip in the top sheet. It’s insanely fun to ride.
Heck yes!
I'm 6'3 & 220lbs, do you think I should go up a size?
@@Ihasfinger911 yeah, bump up to at least the 154
This is great info and comparison. Thank you a lot. Was needing this.
Right on. Thanks for watching!
I have the twin pig. Awesome board but shitty top sheet. Chips and chunks very easily. Had to epoxy mine after my first day on icy snow. Super fun board to ride though, especially carving around with my size 12 boots. Really nice park board, locks on rails nicely.
Word.
War pig is one hell of a board. More durable top sheet is BS though. The first time I ever took this board out for the season I had chips it the top sheet. Only rode the board on groomers. Very disappointing for what you pay for it. Still an amazing board though
Have you reached out to Ride's warranty dept?
Is the board good only on groomer?
Cool vid! Is Twinpig softer or stiffer then Capita Horrorscope?
Stiffer, the Horrorscope is a very soft board.
Hey man, I’m 5’11 , 175 pounds and 13 boots. Used to have the 156w twin pig but that thing felt like a boat…you reckon I could downsize even more and still have it be a smooth ride. I mainly hit park , and do some all mountain riding buttttt id say like 75% park
Oh yeah you can rip down to the 148 no problem
The top sheet complaints are a bit confusing to me. I rode my warpig for a season and while I have normal wear and tear, I definitely don't have any cracking or major chipping. The paint kinda flakes away at the edges a bit, but nothing that actually exposes the core. I wonder if people are used to that extra layer of top sheet, which when chipped exposes kinda what's already exposed on this board, so when the paint flakes away it seems worse than it is.
Whether I got lucky, or other got unlucky, I love this deck. And I like that it's definitely lighter because of the lack of topsheet
Top sheets on ride boards certainly suck. They do chip easily. I've had my wildlife one full season and only rode 10-12 times last year and I have a big knicks/chips in the tail, small knicks all around the edges-virtually all over the top sheet-but can only see if you get close to it, and the black paint (whatever it is) has been coming off on all the rolled edges and small half circle sliver about 2.5 inches long on the tail. And I didn't even beat this board up; rarely icy conditions. Colorado 95% of the time at Loveland.
There haven't been any major issues on our end.
Thanks for the awesome comparison. Would a 156W Twinpig fit me ? : 6´2" 166lbs and size 13 feet... or would I be better off with a 154 considering my weight?
That one is up to you, If you are riding park all day long the 154 would be great. If you want to spend a good amount of time outside of the park as well the 157 would be better. As for the wide version, it's not needed. The waist widths on the regular ones are the same (if not more) as most "wide" boards on the market. www.the-house.com/search.html?keywords=twinpig
@@thehouse Thank you very much for your detailed answer! Highly appreciate it.
So you wouldnt consider the 156W a good choice inbetween? Im kind of more an allmountain guy, still riding 40% switch and seeing park on a regular basis. I would just fear the 157 beeing too stiff/ top much for my 83 Kg 😅
@@MarvQua Hoesntly you wouldnt notice a difference in the stiffness. If anything the 156w would probably feel a teeny tiny bit stiffer. You are taking away 1 cm from the nose but you are adding extra width to the entire length of the board.
What’s the burton equivalent to the warping? Asking for a friend who has EST bindings
I'm not sure if there's anything quite like the warpig in any other brands lineup, but you can check out the Burton Slush Puppy. It is not as wide, but still has many of the same properties.
I’m 6’0 and was thinking of picking up the 156 wide. I wear a 13 boot so I use wide boards….
You could ride the 151 as a "park" board if you wanted to. The regular width versions of these boards are plenty wide for a size 13. The 156w is more like an "Extra Wide"
@@thehouse Ok Gotcha. I’m around 230 ish. Would the 151 still be big enough?
@@josesbox9555 If you are riding just park it would be good, If you wanted a little more all mountain versatility then bump it up a size
@@thehouse Thanks!
Hi, first, thank you for a good review. I am 182 cm and 80 kg. Now I am riding a burton custom 160size. I'm going to buy warpig for more comfortable rides, tricks and parks. Which one would you recommend, either 151 or 154?
That board is quite big for you. Get the 151 Warpig, and I suggest maybe getting rid of that Custom and getting a 154.
The House Outdoor Gear I got 151size. It is so so good👍
i ordered the warpig in 151 bc i weigh 155, but im still anxious about booting out with my size 13 (I'm 6,1). hopefully this thing is obscenely wide 😅🙏
Absolutely 0 worries. The width of the 151 is wider than a lot of specific "wide" boards. Even the 148 has a waist width big enough for 13+ boots
@@thehouse my guy u are a blessing
@@thehouse it arrived today *insert pewdiepie, "this is my new girlfriend", clip*
Enjoy the ride!
I am looking to buy a warpig for all mountain use as my everyday board. slopes with friends (carving), side hits and butters on the piste while cruising, a little bit of pow if possible. no rails and no huge kickers. with 183cm (6ft) and around 80kg (175lbs) would you go for the 151 or 154? boot size 10 will fit both.
I would go for the 154, little more pop and stability compared to the 151.
i have a boot sice 13 do my feet fit on the board and would you recomand it
You would definitely want to get a wide model!
@@thehouse ok is the twin pig wide enough
Weighs 165lb and 5ft10. Should I get 148 or 151 twinpig looking for softer board to learn butters/presses?
Twinpig only has a volume shift of 3-6cm so you’ll want the 151. www.the-house.com/ritm136159zz-ride-snowboards
Do you think that the warpig is a good board just for groomer, no Park for a intermediate rider?
Any of the pigs are good for it all really.
I'm an intermediate rider and this is my first season with the Warpig, coming out of an Arbor Westmark Rocker. The pig helped me a lot carving properly. The board is locked in the turns, no fear of slipping, I really feel the board bitting through the snow. It's also stable enough with speed. Go for it, it has made wonders for me.
I need to give another shot to the Westmark to feel the difference!
You’re probably getting a lot of these questions, but I really need help. What size for the two top should I get if I am 185 cm and 70 kg?
For your size I would do the 154 in the Warpig and the 157 for the Twinpig
@@thehouse Thanks! If you don’t mind me asking. Should I get the wide version if I have boot size 13 (46 eu)?
@@seatwarmer0 that is really up to you. The "regular width" versions are already plenty wide for a size 13.
What size board would you recommend? I’m 5’7 and 175 lbs, size 8 boot
152.
Is the twinpig 148 too wide for someone who has boots size 9.5/5.7 tall?
You'll be all good!
@@thehouse thanks for the review!
Would I get the orca or the warpig?
Man, both are awesome boards... Orca for more backcountry type riding, Warpig for more all mountain/park! Both can do everything but that might help guide you in the right direction!
Thanks for the vid! have boots size 12 (mono 30), but am a light guy (70kg/154 lb). You think I could ride the 151 Twinpig without toe drag? Waist width is 263mm. I currently ride a Ride Machete 159W (ww 261mm) without any problems, so I guess I should be fine? (I don't like wide boards given my weight)
You should be fine on the 151 with that waist width. I would also recommend stepping down from a 159 altogether if you only weigh 154.
Who remembers when these reviews were a plastic table and drywall.
haha was just thinking the same thing watching this, good for them!
Started at the bottom.
I'm 21.5 bananas tall and I weigh 870 cheeseburgers, what bored am do get
The average banana is 7" long and the average McDonalds cheeseburger is 6 ounces so you are like 12.5 feet tall and 326lbs??? Probably going to need the 203cm Nitro Cannon. www.the-house.com/nicm203131zz-nitro-snowboards.html
