Hi, would you recommend using the hemp on solid stone internal walls. As in an old irish venacular cottage which has lime mortar render. I want to chip off all the old plaster, point and re do but without using latts or gysum board. Want it to help with insulation and breathability

Hope your project is going well. Talk to the Traditional Lime Company in Tullow, Co. Carlow. They supply hemp and batichavre NHL. I've used shuttered hempcrete successfully on a number of cottages and recommend the process.

My hemp house is plastered with lime putty/sand based plasters on the outside. Inside, lime putty is used only as tadelakt in the bathroom, others are earth based plasters.

There is no clay on my property. I might have sand. Should a person just build with smaller thinner hemp blocks for the inside walls assuming the company builds them or hire a person to build by filling with the hemp fill?
How to mix if not ready mix? Meaning what is the ingredients? And how much in contrast to each other? As if we baking a cake. Im surprised this is not more talked about. Rhis ahould be numeral. Uno. Or can use bigger chucks depends on the application ... at least this is my guess. You cant really mess this up. 😂. So cool . And do you use a lime base paint? That would be Great for this. Perfect. Lots if air. But dont seem like your getting total benifites if hemp if you simply useing woid chip shape piece. I mean so whats the difference of simply useing chips? 😂

Can you use other plant fibers such as hay or straw?
They disintegrate whereas hemp is a true bast fiber.

Man that's a good question, from what I understand when you use hemp to just use hemp I am not sure if putting plaster over top tops it from breathing

If I did my research right it's 3 parts hemp 1part sand 1 part lime but from the look of it seems like he has more sand than hemp
