The International Day of the Tropics is celebrated annually on June 29. The Tropics are the hotter, wetter, more humid regions of the world, and host most of its biodiversity. By 2050 it will be home to 50% of the world’s population and two-thirds of its children.
The International Day of the Tropics creates awareness of the challenges and celebrates the extraordinary diversity, opportunities, and splendor of the Tropics.
