There are some artists that overtime I forget about and then don't listen to as much as I used to, but I will always listen to Owl City! I don't care what anyone says, every single one of his songs are the best!

Exactly! When I was a teenager, my youth group leader asked me why i liked his music so much. I responded "because there really isn't anything else like it". She told me there was and then showed me a song:

Adam is the man who pulled me into the world of music. Before that point, music was just background noise on a radio or movie.

This song. No matter how many times I listen to it, no matter where I am, no matter what i'm doing. When he sings 'she makes me stormy sky beautiful' everything around me just seems to slow down and for that brief moment I look up at the sky and think of the girl I love. And it makes my stormy sky beautiful.
That's what I needed to know. Love is the stormy sky that just stays beautiful. I thought I was supposed to say or spell his name right but it doesn't really matter ultimately!

Don't you love it. Its so innocent and so clean. I mean I've never had a singer capture emotions so perfectly through sheer lyrical brilliance when they weren't under the influence. Its stunning.
I realized why Owl City songs hit so hard and cut so deep, even when the lyrics are whimsical or nonsensical; Adam somehow manages to craft songs that evoke emotions that are really difficult or impossible to describe with plain words. The words might not make sense, but they make you feel very specific emotions with the images they put in your head.

That's sweet. Having my own mild disability, I know what you mean when you say that Adam's songs give hope. It's just a gift he has. His songs mean a lot to those who have their own unique situations to deal with... at least that's how I see it. They certainly help me deal with what I have to go through. And because of that, I will forever love Adam.... he's such a dreamer and a great friend to all his fans.
I enjoy the owl city stuff because it seems to hit the perfect pitches to keep me very calm.
The piano accompaniment has a very strong Clocks vibe to it.

People don't dream anymore, instead they rely on some plant to do it for them. Adam Young is an inspiration, not only do his songs prove you don't need drugs to be successful, but they inspire people to go above and beyond what people think is possible.
Sometimes I get so happy listening to his music that I can barely wait to hear the next one,so I just stop in the middle...

Dreams and Disasters definitely was influenced by this, but most likely accidentally. I don't think Adam would try to reuse an old melody, though he might have because this was a bonus track.
Jeremy MacDonald i think he's pretty comfortable with recycling ideas. the verses in Tokyo are almost identical to Good Time. and he also mentioned using subtle parts of Good Time for Wolf Bite. Personally, I don't mind it, if it's subtle. but Good Time and Tokyo were just way too similar to ignore.
+Jeremy MacDonald lol Adam is super comfortable with reusing old melodies, instrumental parts, even phrases in lyrics. Reduce, recycle, reuse xD
Most times he does it on purpose and wants to give new life to some element of a song that he loves, and sometimes it's just subconscious because he is a one-man bad after all.

I actually like how random his titles are...they add a little flare, you know? They're not exactly obvious like the titles of some other songs. Hehe...he's like a modern day R.E.M. ((Which fits him, cause REM is the state you go into when you start dreaming~ And I bet that's where he gets the titles for most of his songs. His dreams~))

look guys, every song by OwlCity sounds similar but they're still good. Adam Young is straight, it's just that he's not as NORMAL as other people, he's special (in a good way) and he's very influenced by music...
That's not necessarily true. Most of his songs are upbeat but he has some slow and differently tuned songs.
More like his songs are about good message. His subliminal messages aren't about sex or money, but about happiness and love between a boy and a girl. He's still young and wants to find love. He's DEFINITELY not gay.

So I've gone through every Owl City (I think), and arranged them from my favorite to least favorite, divided into 7 tiers: Bad, Meh, Okay, Good, Great, Awesome, and PERFECTION. This song was ranked 92, in the Okay tier.
I like this song a lot, but it doesn't really have a whole lot of words, and is mostly music. Which isn't a bad thing, but it doesn't quite stand out compared to some of his other work.
