So if my Dad name is on my birth certificate from the united states would you recommend me to take that birth certificate to mexico like would that help me prove that my dad is mexican is that a big A+ for me
Just wanted to drop a comment that I just officially became a mexican citizen 🎉 now i have usa-mx dual citizenship, thanks for info jose!
That is awesome! Congratulations!
If you have at least one parent born in Mexico and you want to become a Mexican citizen, the easiest and fastest way to get your Mexican citizenship (Mexican birth certificate born abroad and civil registry document) is to do that part in Mexico. HOWEVER, once you have those documents, the easiest and fastest way to get your Mexican passport is to get it in the USA at a Mexican consulate. If you are a Mexican born abroad, for some reason it's easier to get the citizenship in Mexico, but it's more difficult to get the passport in Mexico.
I paid $300 to Mexican attorney (who is also a dual citizen) to process all the paperwork at the Tijuana Civil Registry. It took about 4 weeks to process to get my Mexican documents.
That is great information! Thank you for sharing and Congratulations!
Hello, i am very intrested in doing what you did with the attorney in Tijuana, is there any way you can pass me the Attorneys information?
What attorney did you use?
Very proud of my Mexican citizenship thanks to my mom. loud and proud
Viva Mexico!
We are not the same we are Mexicans we have culture and history like all this land that was stolen from us we have been here in America that America is in continent, not a country since forever, brown skin
I agree we are all Americans
Bro, you’re awesome for this. I was dying when you mentioned we all have middle names lmao. Also, the part where you said “no thanks” to Cuban citizenship
Jaja glad it was helpful and entertaining!
Like the guy who live chatted you, I had to get my grandfather’s birth certificate from 1898. I had to send a cousin of my moms to go pick it up in person from close to Guadalajara. Then she sent it to us in the states. Then we went to the consulate in Laredo. They gave my 85 yo mom her BC and then her passport. Then we went back a week later and I was able to get my birth certificate and looooong name. And my passport.
Wow! Thanks for sharing!
Gracias for all these details.
Your very welcome!
Wowww this is amazing. I wish you had been on when I did mine😂
Well at least this will now help others who need this info. Thanks for confirming the info is valid!
Question,
what if my parents never married, father is not involved in my life for the longest but his name is on my birth certificate. It’s just my mom (who is the Mexican citizen) do I need to fill out his info on the application still? What’s the procedure
I think you can do it with one parent. I explain in more detail in the video. You can also contact Jose Novelo for further assistance
🇲🇽🇺🇸
🙂
Both of my grandparents (only on my father’s side) were born in Mexico. However now they are both dead and I do not talk to my father (who was born in the USA and only has American 🇺🇸 citizenship). Would I still be able to get Mexican citizenship without forcing my father to get it first?
From my understanding you need to prove all that lineage and you need to have documents to prove it. Meaning your grandparents birth certificates in Mexico and Marriage certificate, and then your dads paperwork, and then you can do yours. It can be done in certain cases but you would need to seek profesional help on this one to help guide you through the process assuming it can be done in your case
@@JoseArteagaTravels Ok. Thank you very much.
When you state Mexican, you mean born in Mexico. Many folks refer to me as a Mexican, but I was born in the US. My Grandparents were born in Mexico. Nice Video.
Oh when I say Mexican I basically mean anyone out there with Any Mexican heritage
Yo my brotha from another mother.
I didnt get to catch the show live.
I was busy getting homeless 😂 closed on my home today, moved into the motel yesterday so now just waiting on our passports once they arrive, with our birth certificates, we gonna start our trip to Mexico.
I love the addendum to our one on one.
Fanfuckingtastic info.
Ima do my citizenship process in Mexico. Small hiccup my mom is uncomfortable with copying her documents for me.
So ill have to do it the long process. Oh well. Im well on my way.
Once we get our channel going.
On Monday ill link it here for our people here to watch our journey. Along with info through our experience.
Ill be in touch.
Living the motel lofe for the next month or two.
Homeless for now. 🤦♂️ stay up brotha, Amor Blessed Be.
That's awesome brother! Good luck with everything! Glad everything is moving along great! Viva Mexico!
Would they have my mom's voting ID information at the Mexican civil registry? All I have is her Mexican birth certificate. Am I shit out of luck? I was thinking of going to Piedras Negras, Mexico where she was born to see if I can get my Mexican citizenship, but without her voting ID it might not be worth the trip.
Actually you got what you need which is your moms Birth Certificate. You can watch this video for more information on what you need to have and do in order to get your citizenship ua-cam.com/video/buMQettPeF0/v-deo.html
Dual citizenship, dual taxation?
Depends on many variables. One thing that never changes is that you will have to report your taxes to the USA every year for the rest of your life no matter where you are. As for Mexico it really all just comes down to if you actually earn money in Mexico or not. If you earn money in Mexico or from a Mexican Company then YES you owe taxes to Mexico. If not then you do not.
This is so funny. I have quite a few cousins that were born in Mexico. They came to the US and got their citizenship. Instead of keeping their Mexican citizenship, they renounced their Mexican citizenship. Now we are all approaching retirement age. Our family joke is that our Mexicans have turned Gringo. 😂
Wow! I'm sure they are kicking themselves now! I wonder how easy it is for them to get their Mexican Citizenship back? Thanks for sharing!
Great video. Wondering if anybody has had the following issue. Father’s Mexican birth name
Is Jose. But then Jose became a US citizen he changes it to Joe. Child’s fathers name on the child’s birth certificate is Joe and not Jose. Will that be an issue?
Great question! Let us know when you get the answer!
It’s a long process for me, my mom has to get her birth certificate from Mexico and my dad is dead, so I have to get his death certificate, but he died in the US, so don’t know if they will accept it. I also have to correct his name on my birth certificate. This will all be worth it so I can go to Mexico with no problems to visit my brother that was deported.
Good luck with everything! It will be a lot of worth but totally worth it!
I was born in the US and my parents registered me in Mexico so that I could go to school there. If I have a birth certificate from Mexico, even if it says I was born in the US, does that make me a Mexican citizen?
If your parents are Mexican then Yes you are a Mexican citizen.
My Mexican father passed away, I only have his death certificate and it says born in Mexico and I have my birth certificate USA. I’m 59 years old and want to live in Mexico. I’ll do it through registró civil. What do I do?
If the information provided in the video is not enough to get your answer i would recommend you hire a profesional or do some more digging to find the right information you need
Why is a recent birth certificate needed for your parents? I have my father's that was issued in 2000.
That is a question for the immigration office. I have no idea why. Perhaps they want a more current copy
My sister was born in the US but when she was younger our parents went to Mexico, in the 70’s, and registered her and she has an old birth certificate from Mexico. Can she just go to the Mexican consulate and obtain a Mexican passport?
Thank you!
I think so! You can watch this interview I did with someone in a similar situation as yours ua-cam.com/video/buMQettPeF0/v-deo.html Hope it helps!
@@JoseArteagaTravelsthanks for the video. Very informative.
Where in Fort Worth Tx can I go to get dual citizenship both parents are Mexican and American citizens
I would say at the nearest consulate
My father is Mexico BUT he is not named on my birth certificate and my mother passed and I remember his name! Is it still possible?
Yes it is still possible
Yoo! Jose did you ever find out if we can get dual citizenship with grandparents being born in Mexico??
Parents and Grandparents yes. As long as you are able to trace it all the way back
@@JoseArteagaTravels OK cool, Thanks!
can we use their matricula consular instead of the INE?
I think so. You can watch this video for more info ua-cam.com/video/buMQettPeF0/v-deo.html
Can you still buy a place as an American in Mexico?
Of course you can! Check out this video for more information ua-cam.com/video/Jj0h9bE6hoM/v-deo.html
I won the golden ticket 🎫 🎉
Congratulations!
I’m Mexican got my usa citizenship that I lost my Mexican citizenship or no? and I also can my USA American husband can ge his Mexican chip and how can he do that? And thanks for that info now I can do my kids and grandkids Mexican citizenship to 😊🎉❤
Once a Mexican always a Mexican. Just because you became a US Citizen does not mean you are not a Mexican Citizen. You are Both. You are a Dual Citizen
Esa ley la cambiaron en los 90s cuando tenias que renunciation la nacionalidad 🇲🇽 antes de hacerte 🇺🇸 Citizen. Desde entonces puedes tener ambas nacionalidades
