My sister said, “getting old sucks”. My nephew said “it’s definitely not for wimps”. My anti-aging trick is telling people I’m 10 years older than what I am. I always get “wow, you’re doing good”. Ha, ha.
This is honestly the most tasteful, respectful and precise commentary I’ve ever heard about Renee Zellweger’s plastic surgeries, I appreciate that you managed to show and tell your opinion without being rude at all. Every other time I’ve heard someone talk about the potential work she’s had done it’s come off as critical and mean. It’s not like her, or any of the other folks who get work done have control over the surgeon’s hands. All of the photos that you showed gave a clear example of whatever you were talking about without being openly unflattering to Renee. Thanks for your work Dr. G!
If everyone in the world thought like you, Renee and other women wouldn't feel the need for so much surgery. It's the ageism and meanness in people's remarks which often push women to invasive measures. I'm not against plastic surgery and non surgical procedures, but ladies like Renee and Meg Ryan have lost their faces as a result of overdoing it. Let's stop the criticism, ageism and meanness, and embrace the wiser human being within the aged exterior.
I'd be very interested in knowing what the total cost of these procedures might be on "the low end." At any rate, it's understandable that Rene, as a Hollywood star, would feel the need to remain looking youthful for as long as she can, so I don't blame her at all (& clearly, she can afford it). I agree that this is a very respectful well done video. George, Canada...
The fact that he is even talking about her is openly unflattering. Look at this freak of nature that is doing this video! If I walked into his office for plastic surgery I would run screaming from the room.
I always forget her age. 53. Can you imagine being expected to look at least half your age and constantly being told that you aren’t beautiful and something is wrong with you because you can’t pass for 24? I could never be a celebrity woman. She doesn’t “look good for her age” (the biggest bs backhanded complement that needs to be called out and stopped), she just looks good. Period. Thank you for the tasteful take on Renee’s appearance over the years, dr. Linkov, it was really nice to see.
If she looks her age, people are like, "She looks so old!" If she does a procedure, people are like, "She looks too young and fake now!" To the judgmental women below, charlotte vale, and all others like her, if you all stopped being so judgemental towards others they wouldn't be so overdoing it under the knife!
I am a visual artist, a portrait painter, and your analysis is very interesting to me. I am learning a lot about the face from you and I've analysed a lot of faces!
May I please speak to you about a very horrific and traumatizing experience with a cosmetic dermatologist. I’ve been hiding for almost a year, severely depressed and not connecting with anyone or life never had surgery and last period of injections were twice every month for many corrective unthinkable damage to my appearance and skin. The anatomy and last injections of sculptural we’re not enough and early in this corrective process she used Hyaluronidase that hit my face like a hammer which she admitted, and then continued to put more and more types of fillers My mistake was that she was also a mainstream dermatologist that offered to offer a free treatment which continues to be a nightmare
So many people comment on her unique facial features being beautiful and it genuinely makes me happy. Renée has some Sámi ancestry in her background; we’re Eurasian indigenous people and tend to often have round faces and very hooded eyes. Her parents are Sámi and Kven, which I think gives her a more unique look that can be striking compared to typical Scandinavian features. A lot of people don’t know this about her since she wasn’t raised in the culture at all, but she totally fits Sámi beauty standards 😌
How beautiful! Thank you for sharing! beauty standards from cultures is absolutely fascinating to me She is absolutely is and has always been stunning and so unique looking

She has to have had a ton more than that. She looks like a completely different person. I’ve watched her over her entire career and now if I didn’t hear her voice I would never believe it’s her on tv.
Of course she looks like a different person! It’s called aging and I think she’s done it beautifully. Her voice is still the same and her acting talents have only grown more brilliant. Imagine if you’re ability to make a living depended on you continuing to look just the same as you did at age 21.... even 3+ decades later. It would be a wonder if you could smile at all especially as petty people and trolls and nasty gossip rags constantly criticized you for continuing to look magnificent!
I look like a completely different person in my 50s than I did in my 20s, with zero work on my face. That's just aging. Everything droops and sinks in, you lose volume, your skin thins, your eyebrows thin, your lips thin, you lose colour from your eyes, you even lose bone mass in your face. It happens to everyone and it does suck. I'm surprised every time I look in the mirror. Who is that person? Not the self I identify as. That self is permanently 26.
some of these actors crack under that pressure and get the look of freddie krüger from nightmare on elm street. i personally don't like that but hey, that's just me. it is their decision. i also don't think that we need more of these films. but of course, shooting 'the walking dead' episodes gets cheaper if the makeup artists do not have to do much.
I actually think he was being respectful and nice wich is cool he could have been more detailed but it’s not necessary I see his professional yet he being real thank u
@@rosielee6221 that’s why I bothered to watch. I wanted to hear what he thought. I totally agree about her looking like a completely different person. It was so shocking to me at the time!
@@Lucygoosey1219 I really don't get why these people want to change their looks, it is what they are blessed with at birth. Renee was so pretty, I loved her in Bridget Jones but her procedures have really spoilt her soft womanly looks and now her facial just look hard.
There was a period in there when Renee Zellweger had a look that was so altered that the public was talking about the change. It eventually faded. I love Renee Zellweger and have always found her to put out really excellent acting work. To be an actress or female singer who ages beyond 40 is not easy. Many of them are making decisions to their face in order to continue to be considered desirable in a profession that is obsessed with hard bodied youth.
Yes, I remember that too and I was waiting for him to comment on it. The photo from 2014 that appears at 06:11 in the video is the look you're talking about. I was amazed when he simply said - "I see no change". To me, she looks like a different person there.
I mean you can't really expect to be able to compete with people 20-30 years younger than you in terms of looks once you get to 50+. It's like saying that an athlete can still compete aged 50 with professional athletes in their prime. Perhaps actors should just accept the ageing process and focus on being a good actor and a good person instead of trying to maintain your looks, which will fade over time regardless of how much botox etc you inject in to yourself.
She overdid it in 2016, I was really shocked when I watched The Whole Truth. It seems like she reversed some procedures because now she looks amazing again. I love Renee!
Interesting video. I am 46. 5 years ago I dropped 55lbs and the weight loss changed my face so much . Actually when I had the extra weight I felt I looked much more youthful. But over time I adjusted to my new look. I was happier with the weight loss than the I was with the old face so I guess if I had to pick weight loss or face change I would have still lost weight if I knew it was going to change my face.
Are you using a retinol/retinoid? It helps a bunch with early signs of skin aging. Not deep lines, obviously, but it will make you look more youthful, if you use it consistently.
@@leapintothewild I wish it was butt Vs face. All my weight goes to my stomach, face, and boobs. Thanks PCOS! And the thing is your stomach is supposed to be completely flat where there is a continuum on the size of your hips/ass/thighs. IME pear shaped people look way thinner in photos at the same BMI as me. It sucks!
L.A. They can’t age gracefully in LaLa Land…actors have to take stock of their wants because they don’t need anything (they always want more money) - if they need to be in the spotlight, they have to look continually younger/er or they become irrelevant. Time goes by and stuff happens to us and we age. I once saw this woman before her facelift bruises had disappeared and I thought “I will never do that” - she was trying to pass as a 50yr old but she was 70.
I appreciate this, but you missed Renee in 2014 when *everyone* was asking 'What happened to Renee Zellweger's face?!" I'd really love your take on that. My guess is it was some misplaced and overdone fillers -- maybe a thread lift?, because it eventually faded, but she did not look like herself for a few months there. It caused such a media uproar that she wrote a piece for HuffPo titled 'We Can Do Better'. In that she wrote: "Not that it's anyone's business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes." That says to me that she had something reversible done, but it was not at her request? That's my biggest fear of plastic surgery -- that the doctor will decide during surgery to spontaneously improvise something I didn't want or agree to.
@@SeaBassTian I looked it up, it was when she showed up at a particular event for the magazine Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards. It's so funny, it really does seem like it was just a couple years ago, instead of 8.
Thank God her eyes went back to normal. She looked terrible when she changed her eyes. She was astonishing gorgeous in Chicago. She should have never had so much stuff done. She was unique
I work with a guy that I went to school with. In high school he had a full head of thick dark brown flowing in the wind hair. Fast forward 20 years my first time seeing him since high school was at this job. He had no facial hair no head hair, no eyebrows! I watch your videos faithfully and I realized that he has alopecia. I'm so fascinated with how beautiful you are 😊 to where I catch myself just stuck looking at him all day. I showed him a few of your videos and he smiled so hard!!! Now I catch him scrolling through your videos. BTW I have a crush on him lol
Saying someone, anyone looks great for their age is not a compliment, even if it’s meant as one. It’s passive aggressive insulting, or ageism. This has been known for many years. She looks great, or doesn’t. No need for the “ for her age “ part.
@Angie Fryer-Smith That was my suspicion as well, because with each picture I felt it was at least 5 years off. There have been instances of celebs who claimed to be younger, Anastacia comes to mind, and Debbie Harry. It always struck me as illogic- if you claim to be younger than you are, you even increase the stupid pressure to look youthful, don't you? It's a sad vicious circle. One claims a younger age, because that is deemed more attractive, but then has to cope with having to look even much more younger than they are.
At one point some years ago she really looked totally different especially your eyes and that made her look scary . But she just did an interview on Australia's 60 minutes ... not to be confused with the American version of the show . Her face looks a good bit more like Renee Zellweger again ... especially the eyes they look like Renee Zellweger eyes .
It’s so sad to see; She was so uniquely beautiful before, and had such a peculiar face that really showcased her diverse Northern European ethnic background. As a sketch artist, I notice peculiarities. Now she just has “another Americanized face.” 😒
@@wendigo1919 Yes, I know that, but my point was the surgeries; Granted, her work is minimal and more subtle, but I’ve seen some changes to her that is beginning to obscure her ethnic background as opposed to before. She’s a grown woman, of course, she can do what she wants, but I hope she stops before things go too far like with other celebrities.
I also think that. Most people say she looks great. OK, but boy she looks very very different to me. Weight loss/ gain too. Sometimes, I have been shocked at how different she looks. But most say not. Wish I could say that.
I can say I am so tired of these fake huge cheek balls. The entire ps industry has blown up cheeks and no one looks like an individual any more. The fake face is now a cartoon all over the aging celebrity world. Make it go away!
I’ve always had chubby “apple cheeks”, & everyone said I’d lose it as “baby fat” as an adult, but I haven’t (even when I’ve been underweight). I hope it doesn’t sag too much as I age.
@@nachtegaelw5389 Probably not. My mother in law had apple cheeks right into her very senior years. Beautiful! I expect it must be bone and muscle tissue that keeps those cheeks up, great genetics.
Thanks for the factual, informative and respectful analysis. Artists’ looks are constantly under scrutiny and critics, I think sometimes they feel pressured to maintain a youthful look. Especially when some of the critics are really hurtful and cruel.
I think your training and subsequent expertise is medically interesting: worked as a Reg Nirse on Head and Neck surgical cancer floor and was allowed by our surgeon to view a radical neck dissection and our patient made it beyond the 5 yr post op recovery😀. Thank you for all you do.
I have deepset hooded eyes, and sure, its harder to apply eye makeup, but with all the eyelid surgeries in hollywood, hooded eyes are treated like a deformity
Natural hooded eyes are beautiful to me. They didnt hurt Lauren Bacall, an older actress, or Rene Z. I have a friend with hooded eyes from youth onward, and she's aging beautifully, better than I am with eyelids dropping due to age, which is a very different look.
I think she's defo had work done but she still has a natural look, not overdone; which is how I would wanna go if I got plastic surgery as I get older. Dunno if I could afford it though hahaha. Great video, thank you Dr Gary. Love your posts.
I appreciated this breakdown. Interesting how much little tweaks end up accumulating to look overly done. She is a very beautiful women any way you look at it. I will say the photos in 2022 show her nose looking much thinner.... I would be personally surprised if something wasn't tweaked there in the last year.
She gained a lot of weight for the role of Bridget Jones and then lost that weight. When she was performing in Chicago, she got very thin and lean. I am glad you mentioned that weight can have a big impact too.
She gained 30 pounds and started as a size 0 before the weight gain. She’s 5’4” and normally a size 0, which means when she gained 30 pounds, she was considered a healthy weight based on bmi of approximately 23. Even in the book Bridget jones referred to 130 as being obese, which is ridiculous.
WHY didn't you show those pictures that everyone was talking about, within the last few years, that made her look like a totally different person? Her eyes looked like they had changed shape to become more open, with a wider upper eyelid, and she wouldn't admit it, but everyone was saying she looked like a different person. But now, after that scandal, she has come back again, with her eyes looking squinty again & looking more like her old self, so is it possible that she had another surgery to reverse the bad results that made her look so different?
There was a point in time when some people were up in arms over what appeared to be an entirely new face. The way you explain it, Doctor, seems more subtle. I think you were saying her cheek implant revision was responsible for this, but her eyes looked very different as well, perhaps from previous surgeries or maybe not. Bottom line (for me) is she spent a fortune on her face and got a lot of s#$% for it. That can't feel good!
I think she's a strikingly beautiful woman, love her hooded eyes! The movie "Cold Mountain" with Nichole Kidman really showed what a talented actress she is!
IN MY VIEW There was a time when Renee Zellweger's face was recognized all over the world. She had her own unique look. No one looked like her. Now I don't know who she without someone telling me her name. She looks completely different.
She was universal she had the most interesting and cute and beautiful look to her face absolutely stunning. Her recognizable look is gone. You’re right who would recognize her now? Why look generic some artist work of beauty. She had beauty even getting older she would have that sparkle I would love to see that again but everyone gets to choose for themselves.
I’ve been so curious for so long about what she had done. Thanks so much. Also love your videos and thanks for teaching us about signs that may signal certain procedures were done
Thanks for the analysis but like others I would like some more detail around 2014 when she underwent something that caused her look to totally change and it seems like the procedures after that were targeted to restore her to look more like herself. Still all very sad that celebrities just can’t be allowed to age like the rest of us. It must be heartbreaking to wake up each morning and look in the mirror and contemplate what next surgery will actually make you look young again….
Renee was a hardcore runner at one time. I remember seeing photos of her running and it seemed like it was a real outlet for her. I believe that much exertion also affects the changes in one’s face. She was and always has been very thin. This would be a reason for some aging. I still think she’s absolutely adorable. I love her as an actress and she just seems delightful. She’s never been one of those that seem to be untouchable or like a diva. I think she looks happy and healthier than she’s ever been. I hope to see more of her in films
She gained a lot of weight for some of her movies, and later needed to drop it. She was around size 14 and drop to 0 or 2 after one of the Bridgett Jones.
I had never really noticed that what, to me, makes her face so instantly recognizable is what you call the "deficit" in her lower lip. Now that you drew attention to it, it makes perfect sense. For me, it's her defining feature. Thanks. This is really interesting.
Wow her plastic surgeon kept her looking so beautifully 😍 ❤️ over the years. And she really was on top of address all areas in a prompt manner. Beautifully done well kept 👏
I have a thing, where i see the skeletal structure of a person’s face, as an artist would. With education, I could see the muscle structure, as well. For years, I have seen changes, and the lack of changes in many people’s faces-famous and neighbors. THANK YOU! You have proven I am not crazy. I never thought I was, but showing this to others has been a help. Thank you.
I've had the same thing since very young! It's always been a kind of hobby to observe people's facial structures and try to envision what they'll look like as they age, or how older people may have looked as younger.
Eyebrow grooming - shape, fullness, color, etc - can really change appearance so much! I do see a lot of different eyebrow "looks" on her over the years. Pretty common as the trends change. Those of us who over-tweezed back in the day can attest! LOL
Personally, when everyone freaked out about how different her face looked, I just thought she quit waxing her eyebrows. She let them run wild for a bit there.
Renee had her lips enhanced early on in her career ( or later in HS). She had almost no upper lip in her high school yearbook photos. If you look at her high school photos you can see her lips are much thinner than they ever were. There is one photo where her lips look fuller in HS so she might have had her lips filled later on in HS.
I don’t think filler can give you the type of lip fullness she has - they have a very natural look with wrinkles and less forward prominence - filling lips to her size would probably project outward a lot and the lip skin would be tight over the lips. If she did have something done early on to her lips it probably was a lip lift or some other surgical procedure to enhance the skin and fat she already had. If they are lip fillers they are expertly done and I wish mine could look like that lol
Her lips aren't fuller, they look lifted. If you look at her HS yearbook photo, her cupid's bow looked normal in shape. But it seems she had each side of her upper lip lifted so that the cupid's bow now looks separated and much wider. It's also possible that Renee's veneers also changed the shape of her lips. There are oral cosmetic surgeons who can give your lips more projection and volume simply with new teeth.
Lips change with sexual maturity. For some people it happens later than for others. I also believe that her lips are natural. She may pout for the photos though.
One thing you never mentioned was how her weight changes for Bridget Jones probably impacted her skin long term. Gaining and losing can really impact your skin’s elasticity and I’m guessing she has thinner skin due to being so fair; I’m wondering how those extreme changes accelerated slackening of the cheeks and jaw. She’s just a gorgeous woman regardless, and a really talented, charming actor.
But we're talking like 30 pounds tops, which isn't that extreme. Pretty average/healthy weight gain for the average woman during pregnancy. I'm not convinced that degree of gain/loss changes the way your face looks all that much.
If you're very pale naturally, you are prone to early onset ageing anyway. Concerning her weight ups and downs: it's more damaging when it happens fast, no matter whether it's gaining or losing the weight, if the skin may not have time to adjust, it'll stretch out the skin. And she did it multiple times, very fast, and post 30. This is about the mark when your skin might not bounce back.
I'll never understand, probably because I have no celebrity status, but she was so beautiful. She didn't need any work. That industry is a monster, chews people up and spits them out when they're no longer seen as an asset.
I’m curious if she had the eyelid thing done because it was affecting her vision. My friend had a similar eyelid fold and as she aged it fell into her sight line and was impairing her ability to see.
She completely changed her face (age 44 as seen in this video) and then she changed back (which was naturally beautiful). How was this done after she completely changed her facial features?
You do a great job of analysis. If she did have surgery, it looks quite natural. IDEA! What if you could find someone who had work done over the years, they write it down and you don't see it. Then you guess, then there is the reveal. It could be like a game.
I am in my mid 50s and have thick upper eyelids. I looooove them. It makes me look like me. Don't care about getting older. I'm rather honestly old but looked after, than looking like an obvious facelift victim.
Always appreciate that your videos are factual and complimentary - I’ve never heard you say anything derogatory. For those who may with to get surgery, this helps people make informed decisions.
I adore Renee, and I also clearly remember 2014, and she said her face had changed because she had been on a diet - girl, come on, even the shape of your eyes had changed, at least be honest
Well......in her defence, probably people close to her were in on all of it but you can’t really blame her for not wanting to discuss with fans. If she did admit it, every reporter would want a detail report in every interview there after. I preferred her looks before a lot of these procedures were done. Such a shame that in order to continue their craft, the pressure is on to look a certain way.
I love the titles like "Why she looks so different." I feel like using people's expectations that celebrities are supposed to look exactly the same for 30 years. Even if she'd never had anything done, you could've shown two photos with the same accusatory headline.
Renée is one of the most talented woman in Hollywood! She's a truly star, amazing beautiful woman that inspired so many fans around the world. I am fan of her since was a child.
Renee had a unique look that was very attractive. Going for a different look made her look like any other actress. The surgeries to eliminate wrinkles is understandable.
She looked absolutely gorgeous and unique she had her own sparkle… her expressions I thought were so cute and one of a kind, unfortunately some of that is gone. Love her original looks infact I prefer most people to look real, I can’t say that I like someone’s plastic surgery more then their original looks.
She’s so gorgeous. I love her hooded eyes! I also have hooded eyelids and I think she does such a great job with the makeup to suit her eye shape. Also the surgical procedures look natural and fit her features.
PS- I saw another comment asking for various politicians and celebrities and I would LOVE to see one about Putin and Biden because they both clearly have had work done. Dita Von Teese was another suggestion that I thought would be cool, but honestly I just had to say please bless us with a video comparing the plastic surgeries of some of the world’s most well-known political opponents. It makes me giggle just to think about it.
I like how you consider weight changes and makeup. A lot of these other plastic surgeons analyzing facial chances on celebrities like pretending weight changes and makeup can’t drastically change someone’s face, that’s what turns me off from them. The slimmer nose in 2009 makes sense because that’s around the time when certain makeup techniques like contouring started to trend.
I think she's beautiful, more so than in youth. The doctor's price estimate just makes me sigh in despair. It's almost my entire 401k. I want to look good, but to keep up with Renée, I'd wind up being the most beautiful woman living under a bridge.
She is brave to put her looks and her livlihood in the hands of a surgeon.. She looks fabulous and I wish her all the best in her life and her in her career.
I feel sorry for people who have wrinkles in the face. I'm in my 50s and I don't have not one wrinkle not one line and now I'm getting scared because I don't think I'm ready to get them myself and I'm in my fifties I'm so used to being told I look half my age for so long. so yeah, my heart goes out to people that age because to me, 50s is still young.
Renee is so gorgeous, good for her to do whatever makes her happy. Have you ever heard her speak? She’s more than a pretty face, she’s intelligent, eloquent and very kind.
im an OR RN, but i mostly do orthopaedics, spine and total joints. it's so fun to watch Dr Gary assess probable plastic procedures ! ( i wish i got to do more plastics) thanks for the enjoyable "sessions"!
My eyes are so similar and I have very pouty lips which has gotten me in trouble all my life with people thinking I’m giving them bitchy looks or being insincere. So I can totally understand her eye lift at least .

That self is permanently 26.
it's amazing she's done so much but it didn't make her look younger at all... what's the point then...
She’s screwed her whole face
That’s not aging
Just fascinating! She still looks great but it must be difficult to be under pressure to remain youthful.
some of these actors crack under that pressure and get the look of freddie krüger from nightmare on elm street. i personally don't like that but hey, that's just me. it is their decision. i also don't think that we need more of these films. but of course, shooting 'the walking dead' episodes gets cheaper if the makeup artists do not have to do much.
Yes it’s a lot of pressure, I think she’d still look great without all that surgery. She’s a very pretty women.
she looks awful. it's not her anymore

@@Lucygoosey1219 I really don't get why these people want to change their looks, it is what they are blessed with at birth. Renee was so pretty, I loved her in Bridget Jones but her procedures have really spoilt her soft womanly looks and now her facial just look hard.

@@ShelliSands it doesn't need to be rocket science to know it! By the way, strictly no sarcasm on mine part with the reply!
@@DanielGarrett0123 Yeah, her eyes look more open, but then in later years, it looks like her eyes go back to looking narrowly open.
She overdid it in 2016, I was really shocked when I watched The Whole Truth. It seems like she reversed some procedures because now she looks amazing again. I love Renee!
Yes! I'm surprsed that the Dr. didn't drill more into the "shockingly different look" of Renee in 2016, and the even more fascinating reversal of it.
Her look is so unique and adorable. I think it's sweet how she tilts her head when she gives a relaxed smile.
I don’t care what she looks like. The woman can act her ass off! Love her! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Fat fills out wrinkles to some extent and one's face changes so much with weight loss/gain
Yep, Catherine Deneuve famously said that as we age, we have to choose between out butt and our face. 😁
Are you using a retinol/retinoid?
It helps a bunch with early signs of skin aging. Not deep lines, obviously, but it will make you look more youthful, if you use it consistently.
Once you hit 40, being v v thin can be really ageing.
It sucks!
She was beautiful. Very unique features. Why she felt she needed any surgery at all is beyond me.
I don't get it either, I thought she had a nice original face. I hope she doesn't keep having surgeries, she
may end up looking like michael jackson.
I agree. The "girl next door" persona she projects in her movies does not seem to fit with an obsessive need to defeat any signs of aging.
It's beyond you because you are not a celebrity who are pressured to remain youthful looking all the time.
Maybe she had trouble seeing?💁
I think she was and is gorgeous. Thank you for explaining the possible surgical procedures that she may have had throughout the years.
Renee is so kind hearted one in a million. She closed her house for a couple of years to go help a sick friend, how generous she is!!!
I was thinking the same thing though I think it took place around '17 when she started to have a much slimmer less "chipmunk cheek" visage.
@@SeaBassTian I looked it up, it was when she showed up at a particular event for the magazine Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards. It's so funny, it really does seem like it was just a couple years ago, instead of 8.

She looks great for her age. She’s such a wonderful actress. Her work in the show about Pam Hupp is so good. She’s one of the greats!
Agreed!
Saying someone, anyone looks great for their age is not a compliment, even if it’s meant as one. It’s passive aggressive insulting, or ageism. This has been known for many years. She looks great, or doesn’t. No need for the “ for her age “ part.
@@TheFadingTheory well I think she looks great. End of
I have always thought she is a very attractive woman, but I do think she is about 7 years older than stated.....
It's a
sad vicious circle. One claims a younger age, because that is deemed more attractive, but then has to cope with having to look even much more younger than they are.
She looks so much more beautiful with her natural eye shape.
I'm no expert, but I think she had more done. She looks like a different person.
@@DolceFioreRosa She has Scandinavian background. That's what you are seeing in her face, back then and still today.

Agreed, I always knew my eyes looked "different" but wasn't aware that hooded eyes were such a terrible thing to try and hide!
I think she looks her age rather than trying to go for a "younger" look. I actually like that, it's rare to see.
@@samf.s8786 yes I totally agree with you. She looks youthful but also looks her age which is very nice and refreshing to see
I agree, she looks natural.
Your voice gives me calming triggers. Thank you for doing this!
Thanks for covering Renee Zellweger! Honestly, she looks great in all the photos you showed. Her potential face lift at 50 was very natural.
I hate the fact we age and die :( I cant get over it

Thanks for the analysis but like others I would like some more detail around 2014 when she underwent something that caused her look to totally change and it seems like the procedures after that were targeted to restore her to look more like herself. Still all very sad that celebrities just can’t be allowed to age like the rest of us. It must be heartbreaking to wake up each morning and look in the mirror and contemplate what next surgery will actually make you look young again….
I am so thrilled to have found your channel, thank you for educating with compassion, intelligence and wit!
Dr Gary has a great manner about him and his videos are very compelling in my opinion.
Nope her time has passed
@@dstarkspp maybe yours has
She gained a lot of weight for some of her movies, and later needed to drop it. She was around size 14 and drop to 0 or 2 after one of the Bridgett Jones.
She hasn't always been thin and she looks like she's working out extremely hard to stay meagre. I think playing Bridget Jones really stuck with her.
Shes very beautiful.
LOL
Yep! No eyebrows to speak of here.
Yes, soap brows are literal browlift. It is actually crazy
Personally, when everyone freaked out about how different her face looked, I just thought she quit waxing her eyebrows. She let them run wild for a bit there.
Whatever she had done she looks amazing love watching acting and hope to see her do more.
@@anastasiab4391 look at her early high school pictures. Lips don’t change that much. Lisa Rhinna is another with similar lip enhancement.
It could also have been puberty if it occurred in highschool
Wow, that's really interesting! Great point
Great point
You are the best! Thank you for another wonderful video.
I’m curious if she had the eyelid thing done because it was affecting her vision. My friend had a similar eyelid fold and as she aged it fell into her sight line and was impairing her ability to see.
Perhaps, but she has some Sami heritage and all the changes she has done over the years to her face have targeted that heritage
I find the natural, born with it, hooded eyes from genetics, very different than eyelids that drop due to aging.
She completely changed her face (age 44 as seen in this video) and then she changed back (which was naturally beautiful). How was this done after she completely changed her facial features?
Gravity
Dissolve filler
Interesting video! Would love to see an analysis on Kate Beckinsale :)
Renée is one of the most talented woman in Hollywood! She's a truly star, amazing beautiful woman that inspired so many fans around the world. I am fan of her since was a child.
I don't know if people should still say face lift if the person looks completely different. Facial transformation might be more appropriate.
Great analysis. ❤ I never understood the jokes surrounding her natural looks, she was always youthful in appearance to me.
I saw her at a q&a in Hollywood a couple of years ago expecting the worst. But she actually looked pretty good in person.
Shes beautiful before and after. Love her acting!
Renee had a unique look that was very attractive. Going for a different look made her look like any other actress. The surgeries to eliminate wrinkles is understandable.
This is very interesting. I would love Renee Zellweger to look exactly like herself because she's so pretty.
I was sooo shocked when Renee’s eyes drastically changed. Totally different person without the hoods 🤷🏻♀️
She went from cute and adorable to nondescript. Wouldn’t even have known that was Renee Z. She looked completely different and not in a positive way.
I always thought she was so lovable looking and cute in an unusual way. Her East Asian-esque eyes are common amongst Scandanavians.
Love your authenticity doctor! Your videos are informative, enjoyable and thoughtful. Thank you.
Fiddling with her brows made a monumental difference to Renee Zel's face.
I used to do a lot of aerobics and got comments about changes in my face--the fat loss made the bones stand out more.
I think she looks good .. She seems like a very sweet person to and that alone is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTUFUL ..
I love her, I think she’s beautiful and always has been.
Your eyes look beautiful in this lighting! Never noticed before.
She’s gorgeous no matter what.
She looked fantastic in the first bridget Jones, don't know what she was thinking after that
I think she's beautiful, more so than in youth. The doctor's price estimate just makes me sigh in despair. It's almost my entire 401k. I want to look good, but to keep up with Renée, I'd wind up being the most beautiful woman living under a bridge.

At age 49, I can see a huge difference between then & nowadays. She looks much tighter. I think she looks good.
