In a world of exhausting meta chasers and endless tournaments to see who really is the warhammer 40,000 for all of a month, we need more narrative games / campaigns like this one. Your Necron narrative battles were amazing (the bridge and the "rolling" board was genius). I'm wagging my many tentacles and scything talons in excitement signals.
Well, I have compromised on painting for speed... but I will never compromise my painting to appease lady luck. Will need to find a different way to beat this dice curse.
Tak really pulled out all the stops to make that as close to a victory as he could. It was insanely close, with just slightly better luck he could have finished this. Congratulations to the winner, of course. But Tak? Good on you for doing everything you could to make this a nailbiter right up until the end.
You guys literally produce the best battle reports. In my opinion, I love your intros, I'm actually totally blind, so I sadly can't see the board but you guys definitely make it interesting, my hope one day is that I can actually be across the table from one of your Members of your great team, and as an Ealdar player, I love watching my faction represent for the craft worlds.
Usually, my opponent is very clear about where they place things, and I may often have someone on hand to give me clarifying questions about what's around, as well as having my models labeled with braille labels. I'm very particular about having them declare things before doing them, and declaring what their exact intentions are.
@@andrewmcewan6027 thank you very much, I definitely intend to do that, and to show that blindness is no deterrent to being a competitive player, could you do me a favor, or could someone, could someone drop his email in the chat, because for some reason, I can't find it, the closest thing I found was his handle, happycrumpingwargaming 07, but, I'm not seeing an email.
Tak's calm voice and Tycho's enthusiastic commentary is a match made in heaven. I love those episodes the most. Having my favorite faction (Tyranids) as well on a menacing list is just the absolute icing on the cake! Having another Tak vs Dave with Tycho narrating would be the absolute best
Hey Tak! No clue if youll respond but im a new player whose just getting started! You inspired me to purchase my first army, the White Scars! There was a bunch of naysayers who said they were hard to paint, not meta, no one plays them, and not that good. Despite that, watching you play them makes none of that matter to me. Thanks for playing them!
Your comment has fuelled my passion to keep making content. Thank you so much. Best of luck with the White Scars! I hope you have a lot of fun with them.
What an amazing, nailbiter game! Loved both the narrative aspect but also it was high level game, good tactics very engaging. Also THE ZERG NIDS are so freaking Great!!!❤
I found this channel as a recent Aeldari player and I really enjoy the content. Kudos to the narrator for doing a superb job commenting on the details of the battles.
@@at-90ree13 I can see this so vividly as a Swarmlord, Norn, Hive Tyrant, and Old One Eye just going at each other while a slice of pepperoni pizza just hangs out on the table.
I'm not well versed in the Lore regarding Tyranids, but I'm curious if there's an instance where two differing Hive fleet tendrils have come into contact with each other, resulting in such a scenario where they basically try and assimilate the biomass of the other whether intentionally or through coercion?
@Drongo_Bongo yes, this happens. Hive Fleet Leviathan especially sent several tendril fleets to mop up the remnants of hive fleets Behemoth and Kraken in order to reclaim the remaining biomass and utilise the DNA the first 2 hive fleets encountered
Man I can't believe I missed this! A mini series featuring the nids? Yes yes and more yes! Tycho brought so much enthusiasm to comms aswell, big up to JT for rolling the roll that Tak couldn't get 😂 what a game this was. Excellent production as always ❤
Jordan is so freaking great both at playing and at explaining all his moves. Please keep him forever. Feels great to have a tyranid player who shows the strength of the army. This is a great display of competitive army list still giving a fun experience and entertainment. No need to go for meme, very thematic but weak lists that usually result in a one sided stomp. I'm sure most of us prefer a close game.
This really felt like a throw with that Secret Mission. Particularly that Secret Mission picked. That being said, this was a really fun and cool game. If Tak had made his 3+ saves on his Brutalis or had a melta gun do a single damage this game. So props to the near victory despite the horrible dice.
Gotta admit on top of being excited for a new narrative campaign. I have to appreciate the music choices in the battle reports. Very well done to the editors that do the music actual shots used etc. Your guys editors are awesome
brand new to warhammer 40k, as far as the minitures and actually playing. Im sad ive missed out on this for so many years. Thank you guys for the content. Love Taks figures they are gorgeous.
I have been watching several WH40k Tabletop matches in the recent days and it is absolutely amazing what a great time it can be if you're just going in with the goal of having a great battle and a jolly good time. the way you narrate this and play this plus the great closeups of the field is amazing. the best I've seen so far! makes me wanna rob my grandma's grave so I can afford an army!
I'm brand new to the hobby and LOVE these videos as a way to try and learn how to play! I chose Tyranids for my starting army and this was very informative!
Fantastic game! You guys are hands down the best 40K battle report channel. You have lovable players, great terrain and beautiful models. And editing and graphics are leagues ahead of anyone. After watching so many of your episodes of 40K in 40m I feel like I have to send you guys some support 💵to keep these coming!
I’ve haven’t played in a long time, but I’ve been watching a lot of these lately. It’s been jarring but fun seeing all these new scoring rules, but I REALLY knew how little I knew when I saw one of the best Tyranid players in the world play a Carnifex with two sets of deathspitters. I never would have considered that back in the day.
I will never stop loving Tak's White Scars paintjob. They're beautiful. Really love the yellow missiles for the ballistus! It really pops in the scheme!
Let me roll dice for you Tak. My credentials are my Death Jester who just made all six 4+ invuln saves against my buddy’s Screamer Killer’s signature scream. Then my army made 8 out of 9 battle shock tests from a Shadows in the Warp with a -1 penalty from a Neurotyrant.
I'm literally dying (terminally ill with blood cancer), but I'll happily spend my time watching 40k in 40m! Id love to see GSC vs LoV, both are miners, maybe its a cavern fight. JT's enthusiasm for dwarves and Nick's boundless energy fuelling the Cult.
May every day be worthwhile. We will see about putting in a GSC vs LoV fight in the future. We did one as a membership exclusive and if you turn on the setting to receive a membership you could get one on the next drive. Unfortunately, I am unaware of how to gift you one directly. I have a close family member fighting bone marrow cancer. Fight the good fight! Rooting for you!
YES!!! I love nids! I just bought a bunch more for our LWS' "store birthday" promotion (Mawlok, Haruspex, 2x Tyrant/Hive guard, Swarmlord). Excited to see a bunch of games before I take my currently painted models there to game.
I have no idea how to play war hammer , but I got to say , bought my first figures and have started building , I’m trying to get into the hobby hand this video makes it seem so fun!
I really appreciate these moments when I come home after a long day and a new episode of 40Kin40m is up. Sit back, relax and enjoy beautifully edited tabletop action. Much love
Loved this game. Cool to see Jordan's combos with his nids and Tak's excellent use of white scars ability for movement and scoring. Both made great strategic choices it seems :) Personally, I do prefer not knowing the secret mission btw. Luckily I saw that the card was displayed before reading it, so I could avoid it. But I think it adds an element of uncertainty for us as well that I enjoy. Good that you guys called back to it though, would have been annoying to have to go back to find it myself.
Thanks for the feedback re: secret missions. We are torn on whether it should be kept secret or told to the audience. It seems like a good split and good reason for either.
@PlayOnTabletop perhaps you can indicate you will show it, so people can avoid it if they want to (and then show when it is gone too)? Or like have it on screen blurry at first, so you can look away still? I mean, I'm sure it can be useful for learning if you know what the mission is and see how the player executes it without having to go/think back afterwards. Both indeed seem valid to me.

Not quite narrative when you're running a Tournament list.
