It was a great game to watch with two players clearly having a great time.
I’d love to see that too! I bet a HUGE difference as then the list could focus on holding 1-2 objectives well and then just DESTROYING the knights on the other objectives
@@AWPtical800 In a 3-way battle, two people always get dunked on, and the most passive player massively dominates. It just isn't a fair comparison, given it's not even a normal game environment.
Good game, but I think Mubin here got too tempted by Synaptic Nexus, this list called for Crusher Stampede, it would have used greatly all of the stratagems. I would've also added if possible The Swarmlord for command points generation and Malignant presence (against the ion shields it would've been key). In this game with 6 Norns Mubin should've leant in entirely on primary scores, potentially also choosing fixed Bring it Down himself (with something like Storm Hostile Objective to accompany).
while all you said is true. I think the reason trhey did it the way they did is because they have done those things before and want to have some variety as an entertainment channel
the last time jind played was actually my first look into play on, and Warhammer as a whole. this video made me want to play. THANK YOU PLAY ON FOR MY PLASTIC ADDICTION
Hello! Jind here - so I leaned this in my youth, it basically means you’ll ALWAYS 100% get a proper handshake as the fingers/palms are guided into proper handshaking position No more the horror of JUST grabbing someone by their finger tips and limply shaking their hand!
These Play On crew are on some next level with their content! Was such a blast and a huge honor to be invited on as a guest and be a part of their journey
This was a rough fight for the nids. Norns are cool but the struggle to damage heavy targets like knights and the knights weapons are the exact kind of Overkill you need to deal with the norn's defense. a lot of the nids strength comes from the variety of threats they can bring to bare and their scoring potential. Limiting the list like that farther disadvantages them.
Ah you must mean all the turns APART from my turn 1… 2 wounds done to Mubin …. 3 wounds to my OWN army! The sheet amount of damage that Mubin soaked up was both awe inspiring and terrifying!
I just started collecting knights so it was great to see such a skilled player at work. Especially the way he piloted that errant seems like something I wanna learn
Thank you! Me mum got me that jacket when I went to visit my parents in June in the UK - and I LOVE me jacket! 99% just because me mum got it for me!!!!
Thanks! It was a ton of fun playing with Mubin! I play a LOT of tournaments and league games, but honestly I’m having the most fun with my narrative based gaming groups !!!
Thank you Paul! I was just happy that the dice turned around and allowed the Knights to help me FINALLY get a win against the Mubin!!! Glad you enjoyed the fight!
I will bend my efforts to try and get my Knights up to Play on standard for 2025 so when the book drops and IF I am invited back, I'll see if I can take on Mubin in our tie-breaker with House Taranis! Mubin, Brother, I still await to pardon thee for thy transgressions!
"Titanics can't overwatch' Literally kills my soul. That was like, the whole purpose for the Knight I wanted to buy with the gigantic flamer. :'( No point in using the funny harpoon man if you can't run up, slam a vehicle open, and then burn the juicy infantry inside, then burn them again if they try and leave.
Lol, the BEST thing is that Tycho rather grandly introduces me as Jind, veteran of 100s of games and moments later I try to over watch, even though it's a rule I know inside and out, and I play Knights all the time - so ironic it was delicious!!
So happy to see Knights again, i know people dont find them as enjoyable but i love my big robots and its especially fun to see them fight elite lists like this. Awesome game, honest mistakes but great sportsmanship all around. I usually fight my knights into Eldar and World Eaters and both want desperatly to take my knights down, Angron and my Atrapos having a blood feud against one another is a total blast.
Thank you! I a m biased, I LOVE playing with the Knights - and I won't stop playing the Knights!! Mubin is just a great guy and a fantastic sport - was both a pleasure and honor to have played him once more - and on the channel none the less!
At least we got competitive list week 1. Woulda been nice to see the new Yahtzee cannon in action. I feel the knights just have to focus down the assimilators to win a close score but not a hard match.
Howdy! Jind here - to be honest going in i was not feeling the confidence- and post match we had a deep talk about how we would alter our game if we were rematched with the same lists, and the conclusion was that the Nids had a lot to play for, but it’s always easier after the game as you have a chance to see how the lists fare.
Why thank you most kindly! I’m pretty sure the wife wishes I wasn’t so loud all the time, but what’s a person supposed to do when they have Warhammer in their blood?!?!
Jind is an absolute riot to watch as a player. I think he needs to have more screen time for sure. With that enthusiasm I'd love to see him square off against Nick and the T'au.
Thank you for your kind words Blake! But could the 4 walls of the Play On Studio be able to withstand the shouting, the jumping, and the joy of 2 Warhammer fanatics going full tilt at each other?!

Great battle report but for the Tyranid army, I'm quite perplexed. I don't see the point in playing 6 Nhorns. So certainly for the video but at least there could have been less Nhorn. Small example of a list with Nhorn: -Warlord: Neurotyran with 3 Zoanthropes (Power of Hive Mind) -Line: 10 Gargoyles -Infantry: 1 Biovore, 3 Zoanthropes -Cloud: 1 Ripper Swarms -Monster: 2 Tyrannofex with Cannon Breaker, 2 Nhorn Emissary, 2 Nhorn Assimilator. GG at the two teams !!!!!!🤗😄
Jind here - honestly one of the single most amazing things was to see six Norn on the tabletop - they are just very intimidating models to behold, let alone SIX of them! Was it an optimal list for either of us? NO! But it was 100% just amazing to see the six big beasts take to the field against the might of the Imperial Knights!!!
@@Waaagghhh You're right man! Of course, the list was rubbish, but seeing these Tyranid monstrosities on the battlefield was great! By the way, I'm a Tyranid player, are you?

Im in my school bathroom, watching this instead of going to class. Wish i could've watched the live premiere this morning. Luckily we had literacy numeracy tests so selected students skip class and go to testing instead. I finished really early but I sat in the bathroom watching this because I didn't want to go to woodwork class. 10/10 no regrets.
As a dad of 3 little kids I will ALWAYS advocate everyone to attend to their duties first..... BUT I can't honestly tell ANYONE that I NEVER skipped school or work for Warhammer!!!! thanks for watching me take on Mubin
I love seeing my chosen faction (IK) on PlayOn! Loved seeing Jind get a chance to avenge Tak's White Scars. (Man, between that massive Hivefleet mission earlier and now, Tak really has had it rough with the Sons of Khan. I can't wait to see his Ultramarines in action though...) ggs all around, really enjoying the series so far!
Woohoo knights are my favourite and I was so exited with the knight list featured! Very happy they wiped the table. Well played both sides and congratulations Jind for bringing glory to the knight households
I feel like they make mumen lose on purpose whenever he plays nids. Seems like there were intenionally bad choices with the list and detachment as well as not choosing fixed. Not to mention that those fnps happening earlier than they were supposed to probably had a decent impact on the game. Still a fun game to watch though. Always love seeing bugs on the tabletop
Mubin picked his own army! He has played the 6 Norn list quite a fair few times in the local circuit and he has had some good success with it. I do regret the FNP mistake - but in fairness it only kicked in Mubin's turn - and I watched the replay back and the number of 5s to 6s wouldn't have seen a real impact on the game - at most the single largest change would have been one of my big knights would have bracketed a bit earlier and I think end of game we'd have seen one more big guy go down - but the momentum had already swung too far and fast before my FNP mistake, so regardless I don't think the end conclusion would have changed BUT IT STILL HURTS that I made the blunder!!
@Waaagghhh that's understandable. And no hate on you obviously, your knight army was awesome to see! I mainly just feel bad for him as I also play bugs, and his always seem to have bad luck on screen.
A rules clarification: insane bravery can't be used against shadow in the warp, because that stratagem it's locked to the battleshock step of the command phase, and shadow in the warp can be triggered at any point during the command phase (that is, out of the battleshock step). Similary, it can't be used against other random battleshocks thrown by nids and other factions; just against the "regular" battleshocks due to being below half strength, in the step mentioned.
lol, when I first read this I was in total shock - but after the shock wore off I got the biggest grin EVER as Jeff Goldblum is a LEGEND!!! To be even likened to such a top lad (no matter how tenuously) was a massive boost for me - so my deepest thanks :)
great vid as always. Just want to point out that you can guard your home objective in this mission. You just can't get the 4vp on it at the start of your turn. You also can't insane bravery a shadow in the warp BS test as it is not the battle shock step of your command phase. So if a unit is below half, they would have to take 2 tests (if they pass the first). Not wanting to sound like 'that guy' but just wanted to share :)
Well while that is MIGHTY kind of you to say so Nemesis, I can honestly say that I am always in awe of the Play on Team - they are all legends, and it's just a huge honor to be invited on as an occasional guest to play with such legends!
Bless Mubin's heart, he really goes out there and tries his best every match. As a diehard Tyranid fan I'd prefer if he were piloting the defending imperial forces, personally, but I do love to watch him play and have a blast XD
I love the norns but man, we thought we were getting our plastic super heavy bug...but we basically got a dreadnaught that cost more. great game from the players though !
I think Mubin should have taken fixed with bring it down and assassinate, stack primary with the extra OC and then when you kill a knight massive points for secondary
Jind here - we did have some interesting talks post-game and for sure there are paths to victory with this list vs the list I ran in the battle report you just watched. I think a part of it is that, for the both of us, it was a 'first' - I'd love to see what happens if we laydown the same battle without the recording, and just focus on the tactics without distractions!
Thanks for that feedback! One of our goals is to make our videos accessible to people who don't play the game (or don't play the game yet) so it is great to hear that despite not knowing the rules you found it entertaining!

@@coachgonzalezpg1742 Not only that, I never saw Mubin win once on Nids...
@@coachgonzalezpg1742almost like this is a narrative campaign and not meant to be super competitive….
@@andrewcrawford8306in this case, the narrative is that the Tyranids adapted expecting to fight elite infantry and no vehicles.

28:22 Insane Bravery can't be used on Shadow in the Warp. Shadow in the Warp resolves at the end of the command step of the command phase, insane bravery can only be used during the battleshock step of the command phase. (Which incidentally, still happens after Shadow in the Warp, so anything below half does have to make 2 battleshock saves in that commmand phase.)
Oh no! My bad!
It’s a totally different experience playing a game at the studio vs my house or at an event, and 100% I felt I’d made some basic errors I’d normally not
It’s intense at how much different it is playing as part of a battle report game vs a “normal” game!
Oh no! I’ll be honest, I was quite shocked at how many basic errors I made that night!
It’s such a truly different and disorienting experience playing as part of a recorded game vs a “normal” game!
I have no idea how the regulars do, mad respect for the entire team for doing what they do, and making it look EFFORTLESS!
@@Waaagghhh All good. The intent of the comment was to be informative to people who might not know and be watching the video.
There were a lot of interactions in here that I didn't know because I've only played against Knights once, like the deployment order thing and that Titanic units can't overwatch. It was a great game to watch with two players clearly having a great time.
@@BlaidTDS Oh we did! Mubin is just a top lad, we're super lucky to have him and the Play On crew as a part of our wider community
How different would this have been with 2 fewer Norns and 3x Tyrannofex?
S18 and D6+6 DMG FTW!
I’d love to see that too! I bet a HUGE difference as then the list could focus on holding 1-2 objectives well and then just DESTROYING the knights on the other objectives
But Mubin really wanted to use SIX Norn!
And I just was happy being a guest on the show and using their sexy studio models
Mubin starts off by saying he does win games… yet to see it, but I’m here for it and wil support until we get a dub!
Well he beat me twice I think so far on the channel!!!! So this was for keeps!!! He’s now 2:1 vs me :)
He won that Nids v. Ksons v. Ultramarines game last month, didn't he?
@@AWPtical800 you mean the one he got tabled in?
We did have a fairly deep dive post game and discussed how the Nids could have played it different. BUT hindsight is always 20:20!

I’ve never seen a person offer their hand open when going for a handshake. That’s the main thing I’ve taken from this video so far 😅
Hello! Jind here - so I leaned this in my youth, it basically means you’ll ALWAYS 100% get a proper handshake as the fingers/palms are guided into proper handshaking position
No more the horror of JUST grabbing someone by their finger tips and limply shaking their hand!

Limiting the list like that farther disadvantages them.
ive never seen norns take a battering from shooting like that and stay on the table!
Ah you must mean all the turns APART from my turn 1…
2 wounds done to Mubin
….
3 wounds to my OWN army!
The sheet amount of damage that Mubin soaked up was both awe inspiring and terrifying!
I just started collecting knights so it was great to see such a skilled player at work. Especially the way he piloted that errant seems like something I wanna learn
Jind makes me laugh, that dad's blazer didn't prevent the inner child breaking through. 😂 "I'd like to put on my assassin's cowl and fade away". 😂
Honestly so great to watch, loved both of them, also such a fun concept too
Thank you for the enthusiastic comment! I mean Mubin's just Mubin - it's always a pleasure getting an invite to the Studio to get a game against him!

This is the right way to get my attention. I get story, game play, and now I'm invested
Thanks! It was a ton of fun playing with Mubin!
I play a LOT of tournaments and league games, but honestly I’m having the most fun with my narrative based gaming groups !!!
this was great. Mubin is always fun, and I quite like Jind as well. love to see the big stomp units doing their thing!
Thank you Paul! I was just happy that the dice turned around and allowed the Knights to help me FINALLY get a win against the Mubin!!! Glad you enjoyed the fight!
Definitely need a tie breaker when the knight codex’s drop! Really enjoyable episode! Love everything you guys do!
I will bend my efforts to try and get my Knights up to Play on standard for 2025 so when the book drops and IF I am invited back, I'll see if I can take on Mubin in our tie-breaker with House Taranis!
Mubin, Brother, I still await to pardon thee for thy transgressions!
Love to have Jind back! He brings the best energy to these, a real inspiration to us Knight players!
Jin is a treat! Superb fun personality, invite him over more!
Why thank you ever so much for those kind words Dennis!!! Glad you enjoyed the episode of giant Robots vs giant bugs!
Great game and its so enjoyable to see you both having a blast! Im impressed how well the norns performed here even if they did take an L
Lol, the BEST thing is that Tycho rather grandly introduces me as Jind, veteran of 100s of games
and moments later I try to over watch, even though it's a rule I know inside and out, and I play Knights all the time - so ironic it was delicious!!
It’s a narrative series so I’d rather fluffy lists like this over competitive lists. There’s enough competitive games out there
Man, Jind is such a great guest, the dude has such great energy.
Why thank you most kindly! I’m pretty sure the wife wishes I wasn’t so loud all the time, but what’s a person supposed to do when they have Warhammer in their blood?!?!
The background music this game from ALEX was a great choice
Jind is an absolute riot to watch as a player. I think he needs to have more screen time for sure. With that enthusiasm I'd love to see him square off against Nick and the T'au.

Awesome game.
Was really surprised by how the nids did.
Big model fights are always awesome. Like giant skirmishes.
Great battle report but for the Tyranid army, I'm quite perplexed. I don't see the point in playing 6 Nhorns. So certainly for the video but at least there could have been less Nhorn. Small example of a list with Nhorn:
-Warlord: Neurotyran with 3 Zoanthropes (Power of Hive Mind)
-Line: 10 Gargoyles
-Infantry: 1 Biovore, 3 Zoanthropes
-Cloud: 1 Ripper Swarms
-Monster: 2 Tyrannofex with Cannon Breaker, 2 Nhorn Emissary, 2 Nhorn Assimilator.

Being a staunch Imperialist in the 40K universe ANYTIME that I get to use ANY of my Imperial forces (Ultramarines, Admech, Guard, Knights) I get the BIGGEST thrills & chills when I face off against the Nids!
My buddy Pete plays Nids and it’s a very, very rare day I can beat him - BUT those games vs Nids are among the best times to be Warhammering!
As a newcomer to 40k Table top, it really feels good that even the pros make rule-mistakes. It really isnt an easy game to keep track of stuff
Hello! Jind here - 100% I’m making mistakes! Especially in a studio setting! But mostly because I’m too excited a lot of the time and I think I’d be best off drinking some green tea before a game to calm down!!!😅

Love that Jim decided to run the suit jacket, seems like a lovely man to know
now that was a good fight to watch. i better see some knights at that final fight!

I love these two playing, especially fielding monstrous sized creatures. Pacific Rim vibes is my favorite kind of battle reports.
Great to see another fantastic local player invited to play!! Great video and great game!!!
They made so many FNPs and high rolls
I’ve been playing Knights since 9th began, and I’ll be honest…
I made more FNP in that one game vs Mubin than in an entire tournament!!!
And it was GROSS at how many saves Mubin pulled off!! I nearly barfed and almost slipped into a coma!
Those are some great looking models, both armies!
Sofa King - 100% !!!! I can't get over how incredible the Studio armies are - after the game had completed recording I think I spent like an extra 30-40 minutes wandering from case to case and just staring at the various models!!!
Love it when knights are in action, hopefully they can appear more often
Agreed! 😂 but I’m biased, I love being a guest on the channel, and I’ve developed a HUGE bias for Knights!
Thanks for using very different music each episode and not just one genre
Im in my school bathroom, watching this instead of going to class. Wish i could've watched the live premiere this morning.
Luckily we had literacy numeracy tests so selected students skip class and go to testing instead. I finished really early but I sat in the bathroom watching this because I didn't want to go to woodwork class. 10/10 no regrets.

Loved seeing Jind get a chance to avenge Tak's White Scars. (Man, between that massive Hivefleet mission earlier and now, Tak really has had it rough with the Sons of Khan. I can't wait to see his Ultramarines in action though...)
ggs all around, really enjoying the series so far!
I do regret the FNP mistake - but in fairness it only kicked in Mubin's turn - and I watched the replay back and the number of 5s to 6s wouldn't have seen a real impact on the game - at most the single largest change would have been one of my big knights would have bracketed a bit earlier and I think end of game we'd have seen one more big guy go down - but the momentum had already swung too far and fast before my FNP mistake, so regardless I don't think the end conclusion would have changed
BUT IT STILL HURTS that I made the blunder!!
@Waaagghhh that's understandable. And no hate on you obviously, your knight army was awesome to see! I mainly just feel bad for him as I also play bugs, and his always seem to have bad luck on screen.
The moan at 28:43 really threw me off haha
A rules clarification: insane bravery can't be used against shadow in the warp, because that stratagem it's locked to the battleshock step of the command phase, and shadow in the warp can be triggered at any point during the command phase (that is, out of the battleshock step).
Similary, it can't be used against other random battleshocks thrown by nids and other factions; just against the "regular" battleshocks due to being below half strength, in the step mentioned.
Damn, how did yall manage to get Jeff Goldblum as a guest player!!
lol, when I first read this I was in total shock - but after the shock wore off I got the biggest grin EVER as Jeff Goldblum is a LEGEND!!!

Damn, that Lancer underperformerd but was still brutal! Maybe just one more model to ally to my guards...
Jind is literally the best guest on play on

Bless Mubin's heart, he really goes out there and tries his best every match. As a diehard Tyranid fan I'd prefer if he were piloting the defending imperial forces, personally, but I do love to watch him play and have a blast XD
The Knights rolling early on was comically terrible. Like holy Terra he damaged himself more than the opponent on his own shooting phase.
Jind here - I'm 47, been playing Warhammer since age 16...and that was the most diabolical set of rolls I've seen in perhaps all that time!!!

Now we just need some Craftworld Aeldari to save the day and this wonderful campaign will be even more awesome!
The music is great! Fits the theme!
I barely understand the rules but watching this is very entertaining
