- This is actually the second of the "Leftovers" series. When I record for my long videos, I split footage into several individual scenes. I end up about 25 scenes, and some of them don't make the cut. Sometimes, they're too difficult to edit as it would take too long to get the audio sounding right. Other times, they're just not as good as the ones that made the cut.
This video is made up of two previous recordings. Both with different pairs of Christian Louboutin trainers. They belong to my lovely wife (she's spoiled and rightly so) and they cost about $1k a pair, so let's see if they sound as good as all that! Enjoy ❤️🥰

haha, now you know how I feel then.... I never would have thought in a million years that I'd be on camera, in a dark room, tapping a pair of shoes to help people sleep. It's funny where life takes us sometimes 🥰❤️

Thank you, yeah I prefer quieter ASMR too, but a lot of folks are saying it's too quiet so I'll up the volume a bit going forward.... not over the top though, so you'll still be about to get it nice and low from the volume controls ❤️🥰

Thank you so much. The black shoe was recorded a couple of weeks ago and the white shoe was a few months back. You can hear a definite difference between the two but I still think it was a good shout to put them in a video together 🥰❤️
@@ASMRtroopsI think you have gotten really good with the consistency of noise level. It sounds dumb but with some other creator's it seems I always have to manage the sound, with yours it's always perfect
Oh no that's not dumb. What you're describing is the hardest part of ASMR recording and editing. Consistent levels. Most of the large channels use software to "process" their audio and give consistent volume but the software strips out the tingly frequencies and it's noticeable. Personally, I do it manually to retain these frequencies. It sounds like you can hear the difference but you might not be putting your finger on the 'why'. I basically spend time on the edit 🥰❤️

Thank you, almost 🥰❤️ Regarding the audio, I confess that it's my fault. My headphones have this weird button on them that makes everything sound really loud and I never even know it was on there. So, the last few videos I edited are quieter as a result. I was racking my brains, I was sure it was something to do with a PC driver or a setting in Premiere Pro cuz I was having to reduce the clip volumes down much lower than usual. I've figured it out now and it should be much louder with my next videos. Please let me know if it is better when the "scratching only" video goes up.

Why are some of the smallest ASMR creators the ones who put the most effort into their videos. This is easily top 5 in terms of audio quality. There’s zero background noise and everything is so detailed in an audible way. It’s crazy good. Not to mention the visual editing is crazy good too. I really hope you get some traction and your channel blows up soon!

I've just finished recording a "scratching only" video and I'll be editing that soon but I have a full day free tomorrow that I want to use for recording something else. I'm in two minds whether to continue this series, or start on another of my extra long videos instead.
@@ASMRtroops Yeah, I also like the little bassy tapping sounds; they are very good. To be honest, I like the idea of your series, especially because everyone can instantly choose their favorite trigger. It might depend on how many basic triggers you want to cover for your series, but perhaps you could finish them and then continue with your great long videos. Alternatively, you could vary and finish the series over time alongside your other videos. Ultimately, it's up to you, and I am sure we appreciate anything you share with us. :)
Well, I can still think of about 10 for this series. Squishing, Panning, Hand-Sounds, Slime, Clicking, Water, Mouthing, Soft, Rhythmic and Tracing - so a lot 🥰 I'm tempted to break it up with a nice, long, mixed video though. I like making those most. I'll decide tomorrow last minute ❤️

What inspired me to do ASMR is something that I was considering a whispering video on. I don't really do whispering at the moment, I've been practicing but I'm not a fan of my own voice so I get cringed out by it still.... but I do want to try it and this is one of the ideas I had. "Why I do ASMR"..... There's a really nice story about it actually 💞

I love this channel. You and Massage Asmr are now my favorites. Good thing for you is he hasn’t posted in about 5 months. You’re in good standing right now. Fred’svoice, and raffy are also up there for me. You’re really good at what you do and your little facial expressions keep me hooked on watching not just listening. Love the dancing little guys too. Good little touch. Fun how you’re able to make some fun with editing for hours. I do have a question. I’m going to be making a podcast to help me pretty much log what I thought about movies. Any tips on how to beat the UA-cam algorithm?
Massage Asmr is a cool channel. I should reach out to him for a collab in fact. Raffy is awesome too, can't put my finger on what it is about him, he's just a larger than life guy with a friendly face and clean cut ASMR. Fred’svoice is great at what he does too, the role playing side (I'm not into that much but he's fantastic at it, very relaxing).
If you're starting a PodCast then you need to hit the ground running with a good camera (or two) and suitable mic and proper lighting. Also a well thought out background. I watch a lot of podcasts and it's important to look right and stand out. Alternating camera angles and switching up insert footage too - you have to keep it interesting. The only way to play the algorithm is to play it's game. So, you need to make engaging content that people want to watch, consistently too.

hello! just started watching your channel and love ur stuff. i have a couple notes i would like to share with you. 1. your titles should definitely be less long. like they should just be there to get people to click and so to give a bit of context as to whats in the video (just put the additional things like saying if the video is part of a series in the description. 2. your thumbnail photos are great, however i would make them a little less dark and maybe a bit more click baity lol (like just more interesting). 3. stop putting your titles vertically. while this definitely looks cool it isnt as easy to read for people scrolling by; think of your title and thumbnail as two things aiding each other, first the person will look at your thumbnail and hopefully they will be interested enough to read the title. dont underestimate how much simplicity and a touch more intrigued will effect your channel. sorry for the long comment lol, just saw your channel and saw how professional your asmr is and with time you will definitely become very very big
ps: adding to what I said it point 3, the title of this video is great, but the thumbnail is pretty boring. I would have made the shoe much more prominent 😊

What time did you record this and great video
These are two separate recordings. The white shoe was recorded about 5 months ago and the black shoe about 2 weeks ago. They were "unused footage" that I thought worked well if I bring them together. As for the time of day I record? I like to record either super early like 6am or super late like 1am. I prefer to be tired when I record as I can get into the sound better when I'm feeling tired 🥰❤️

I'd love to collab with Z, but I don't think he'd ever entertain the idea of a collab with such a small channel. If he did, I'd happily fly to Germany for it but he wouldn't. I did email him about it but there was no reply as expected. He's too big. The only way he'd ever collab with little old me is if there were loads of comments on his videos asking him to reach out to me *wink-wink*
I promise you this though, if I ever get that large then I will be going out of my way to 'pay it back' by helping as many up-and-coming new artists as I possibly can 💞🥰

I don’t get why he wouldn’t want to collab with a channel that has a similar tempo and editing style. Yeah, there are other artists out there who are more likely to collab with me. Z has nearly 3 million subs so he has nothing to gain from it really. It would be a good collab though because he was the reason I got in to ASMR in the first place. I like his older videos more than his new ones though.

Although the item selection makes me feel sad not for Troops specifically but at a wider scale: the existence of luxury brands itself makes me feel very disappointed on humanity. It blows my mind that people would really spend £1000 on shoes, even if they can afford them, should they? Besides the nice tapping sounds - are they REALLY worth it? Are they really THAT much more comfortable? Is it even moral to spend this much on shoes while there’s people starving? I know it’s a false dichotomy but you know what I mean.
I am also aware that Troops probably wanted to do something different in a growing videosphere with ASMRtist getting all creative, draw some attention appealing to people’s curiosity, which is fair enough.
I feel you, I really do but with UK inflation 1k isn't what it used to be. It's just not as much as it was. Granted, there are people starving and of course it's somewhat selfish to blow 1k on trainers on a spiritual level, but if you think along those lines then so is having a nice house, an expensive car and nice furniture etc....
I love my wife and I'd spend every last penny on her, just for a single smile. It makes her feel special you see and whether it's nice jewellery or nice clothes it's about how it makes her feel appreciated. I want her to feel special and this is my silly way of doing that. Spending 1k on trainers is a gesture to her because 1k is a lot of money to us too and showing her that she's worth it, it's just my way of showing her how much I appreciate everything she does.
There are some things that are totally obnoxious though, like £10k bottles of wine and £40m houses. I think those types of things are more in line with what you're saying here but 1k trainers as a lux. gift for my wife is on a different level from that (just my opinion though) 🥰❤️🥰

@on_another_rabbit_hole I agree with you in general. The consumerism that is rampant in the developed world right now is making me sad (I live in the US). That said, in my hardcore running days I used to break a pair of sneakers in less than 6 months. So, 3 pairs of sneakers in a year, even at a modest price of 60 dollars per pair, adds up. Not to mention the effect on the environment to deliver them to me (gas, pollution etc). So, the question boils down to whether these expensive sneakers are really more lasting? I mean, if they would last for say 5 years that may make them worth the seemingly inflated price?
@@on_another_rabbit_holeAlso some would say that producing these expensive items creates jobs and incomes for people who need them. The premises is that people who produce luxury items get paid more vs someone who just works off of a mass production line, but of course that may or may not be true.

Of course I don’t agree with the low-cost brands that devalue market prices and make it impossible for local producers to compete. As for consumers, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to buy responsibly when our wages don’t reflect the actual cost of production (the real one, not the low-cost one based on human rights violations and ecological exploitation). If buying luxury goods guaranteed durability, fair trade and sustainability, then yes we should all agree that it could be worth it (up to a certain extent).
