Truly love your channel, so fresh with expressive beauty. Thank you so much for sharing. Hopefully your sickness will not spoil the fun you both are experiencing.
Hey David thanks so much for your nice comment ! We’ve been workin hard to make our vids more engaging , and feedback is always welcome! We appreciate it !
Thanks Dan ! Fingers crossed it starts to subside the more we go offshore haha; you’ll see as the vids go on that I try all sorts of remedies haha! We are stoked to be gone from the boatyard and to be gettin salty !!!
Well done, a long first passage especially coping with seasickness. You will adapt in time. Pillow cases are great for shoving around crockery, bottles etc to stop them rattling. We have loads on board.
First of all, we are craving Thai food now! You two are tough for living out this dream regardless of sea sickness! It can be TERRIBLE! Also, love the part where you show how things get stowed away before a passage!
Hey Ocean Bandits, thanks for your comment!! Love your logo by the way and your videos are rockin it too! We looooove Thailand and everything about it, have you been ? Seasickness is just a lil blip , I’ve got my eye on the prize over here!
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, we figured we’d stay on the safe side in the dark , especially for our first shake out sail of the season! It worked out for us :)
I really dig seeing your track down through these videos to realize I was just behind y'all! That Morehead City to Charleston leg was my first solo offshore passage! It was awesome to catch up with you in Bahamas. Have you gotten a chance to try crystallized ginger for seasickness, yet? It really works. Also, if you are continuing down to The Dominican Republic, I've heard you can get Stugerone there without a script. It has been called the best motion sickness med, but I've never taken it so cannot confirm that. Safe travels hope to run into you again!!
Hey there ! Thanks for your feedback! I’ve taken it to heart and have tried to be better with listing the anchorages on the screen for the future videos :) so funny we were so close to each other! Yes it was nice to meet you too; where are you now? We give our real time updates on Instagram but i can tell you we’ve left the Bahamas :) thanks for the tip about the DR! Yup I’ve been using crystallized ginger and this electronic bracelet that sends little shocks , and that combo seems to be working for me so far so fingers crossed I’ve found the solution!!
@@sailingjoco Nice! I have been wondering about those bracelets. I thought it was a gimmick, but I've heard they actually use them in hospitals! I went through the Panama Canal (SO AWESOME!!!!!) and now I'm in Costa Rica getting ready to set across the Pacific for Hawaii :)
WHAT !! You’re all the way there ALREADY?!?!?! You don’t waste any time do you! That’s amazing, so happy for you (Ps the video just up today has you in it 😂👌)
New Sub. 2nd video. So many many things to see & learn. I suspect It's going to be interesting to watch you 2 succeeded as a YT channel. 😁🙏 1 suggestion, make your 1st playlist "All Episodes" from #1 to 101 and beyond in that order. It just makes binge watching easier. 😉 1 question, how far behind real life do you post episodes? (It helps keep things in perspective.)
Hey Mike ! Thanks for joining us on this channel; the community is great ! :) We really appreciate your kind comment, that made our day. And thanks for the suggestion, we had another subscriber suggest the same about the playlist - I’ll get on that asap! We are a couple months behind real time (hard to find internet once we left the marina) but you can always follow us in more up to date time on our Instagram!
Howdy y'all! This is Robert (S/V Katy - we meet in W. Palm) Love your videos! Did you have a chance to try an ear plug (yes, just one) for your sea sickness on your way to the Bahamas? If yes, how did it work for you?
Hey Robert! Nice to see ya again (virtually this time) !! How are things going with you? Where you at ? I haven’t tried the one ear plug strategy yet, I totally forgot about it !! But I will give it a go the next time we’re in rough conditions, thank you for the reminder !!
I hope you carry coconut water. It has more electrolytes than Gatorade. It will rehydrate you better than anything. Also, get some over the counter Phenegran(Promethazine). It worked wonders for nausea.
Thanks Tracey! I will definitely look into that med ; willing to try almost anything at this point! And yup we have coconut water , it’s one of my favorite beverages actually
-- QUESTION -- Is it possible for you to make a "play list" that has all your videos in order from the start going forward? Kinda hard to binge watch them as they appear in non sequential order.
Wow, that was some private air show you got! Talk to me Goose!!!
Great video- thanks ❤
Haha right ! We just watched Top Gun the other night , so good !!
I love that you make food ahead of time. Great Idea. Less time down below.
Yes !! Gotta keep the Captain full and NOT seasick haha! Pancakes and popcorn are so easy to make ahead of time and are tasty and filling snacks!

Epic Air show... lol
Wasn’t it awesome ??? We were awestruck for the whole thing, around 20 mins !
Congratulations! You will get better with the sea sickness. Looking forward to more Joco sailing and less time in the boat yard!

That’s a good idea ! We have since shoved tea towels in between bottles etc to cut down on the clinking👌 thanks for watching and for your comment!
Joco ,on the move ,fair winds!
Woohoo!!!! Exciting isn’t it !! Stay tuned for lots of epic adventures ! Thanks for your comment
As Capt Ron would say "If its going to happen, Its going to happen out there".
Enjoy the passage.
Haha isn’t that the truth😂😂

Jeff’s got a good looking snubber😅
HAAAAA!!!!! Nice one ! You’re going to make him blush 😂😂
Well done couple !!!👍💪💪
Thanks much Eduardo !! We’re stoked to finally be on the move !
Next time anchor in Beaufort, NC for a day or two. While there you might visit the North Carolina Maritime Museum. Fair winds... Captain Ron
We have heard good things about that museum ! Will def be on our radar if we go back up that way
Interesting video. One reef in the main is a very smart policy, especially on night passage.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, we figured we’d stay on the safe side in the dark , especially for our first shake out sail of the season! It worked out for us :)
@@sailingjoco No shame, we have been wearing a reef at night since the 1980s, and we are still here.
Exactly 👌👌👌
Have you tried the Emeterm bands? Apparently they work really well. Great to see you guys out ripping it! Go Team Canada! Cheers!
Thanks for the tip, will definitely give those a try! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦!!!

Hey Honu Time thanks for watching ! Love your guys’ content too, full of great info !
Maybe some cover's for your Jug'S?
The Jerry’s ? We are thinking about it !
@@sailingjoco Yes dear the jerrys. Several different reasons.
Starting to really like this sailboat.
