Ohhh that shot at 5:34 was my fav. Also it was cool to see that shutter release wire. My dad has a few of those and I never got to see them in action. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!
You would think so, but for some reason the shutter literally will not close unless you wind the next frame on. Really weird quirk, but it’s not the worst thing in the world! Thanks so much for watching Jason! :-)
I think the alleyway shot at @11:13 was the best shot. The lighting just seems to really blow out on all the others so not really my style but you found some really great spots and compositions! Congrats.
Thank you so much for the feedback!! It was a bit of an experiment because I couldn’t find any reciprocity data, but I think I learned a lot about this film for next time! Thanks for the comment! :-)
Luckily this video was recommended as I'm planning on shooting some night shots with some friends. BTW, the manual for the Fuji GW690 says to change your shutter from T to 1 rather than using the film advance lever to trip the shutter as you can create a light leak to the next frame. Great stuff btw.
I have 2 that I use interchangeably, but the one I used in this video is just called “light meter” and the logo has a little plus and minus sign on it in the App Store!
Thanks for at least picking an iconic gas station & for owning the cliché. 😂. I don’t care if it’s a typical “film bro” thing, I fucking love it. Very nice night time shots.
Great video. Love your images/composition. Do more night work with this luscious film!
Thank you so much Darlene! I’ll definitely make some more night work with this film! :-)
What a picture at 6:05
Very nice.
Thank you so much! That’s my favorite one as well! :-)
Certified banger
Thanks friend :)
Love the black and white. Great work.
Thank you so much!! :-)
Wow, I love that crazy dynamic range in the night shots. Good idea and well done.
It really is insane! Film blows digital out of the water with highlight recovery! Thank you so much Scott! :-)
I absolutely love this video!!! Awesome B&W photos.
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed!! :-)
aye that's my ATM my boy made it big
It owes me $50 for making it look good

Thank you so much Darren!! :-) the shutter release cable is a life saver so I don’t shake the camera! I’m glad you enjoyed!!!
@@KelseySmithPhotography Haha yea I figure with those long exposure shots, this is a must. Look forward to more of your vids!
Another great video. Hmm did not know taking pictures can become dangerous...lol
I’ve gotten harassed a few times at night, but I definitely care more about my cameras safety than my own!! Hahaha
1) Mom Jeans T-shirt is clutch 2) Texas Leica is fuego thank you for the video and keep it up homie -new fan
Thank you so much! I seriously appreciate that! Mom jeans and Texas Leica are a killer combo :-)
Love this camera also, the lens on it is crazy sharp!
It’s such a wonderful camera! The lens is incredibly sharp even when it’s wide open!! Thanks for watching Jonathon!! :-)
Hey Kelsey. Love your work. Your compositions are great. New sub. We shoot Cinestill almost exclusively.
Thank you so much Aristo!! I love all the Cinestill films, but I definitely don't use them as much as I should! Thanks for watching! :-)
actually i didn't plan to subscribe to your channel - but you cracked me with the gas station. Nice :D
Hahaha thank you so much Sasch!! Gas stations at night are always a necessity to take photos of!
I think the time mode makes it so that the shutter does not close unless you hit the button again. I could be way off though

@@KelseySmithPhotography Great video and comps as I said. Thanks for posting your experiment!
thank you for watching!!!

Thank you so much Alex! That’s a great tip and I’ll keep that in mind for next time! Thanks for watching :-)

I can't crack the code
Has a promist filter look
I had a 1/4 pro mist filter on! I showed it briefly, but I probably should’ve talked about it more!! :-)
Btw, what metering app do you use?
I have 2 that I use interchangeably, but the one I used in this video is just called “light meter” and the logo has a little plus and minus sign on it in the App Store!

Hahaha thank you!! They are super cliche but I’m a sucker for them as well! :-)
10 to the power of 1.5
Thanks for this! I MEANT to do that, but I had a lapse in judgment and wasn’t thinking straight hahaha! Thanks for the info though!!
I would have stopped watching if the first photo weren't of a gas station.
Hahaha I had to! The film gods would’ve been mad at me if I didn’t!
