I'm glad I was able to find this video, every other floral making craft is for crochet and I don't know how to use crochet needles. Thank you for this video, and you knit very fast! I was amazed. The roses look beautiful and I can't wait to try this!

For everyone having problems with this, I am an absolute beginner at knitting. I much prefer crochet and avoid knitting whenever possible. While I had to stop and start the video several times, I had no problems following the video and creating a gorgeous rose to give to a friend. This was the first ever knitted flower I'd ever attempted, and it came out beautifully! I did five petals for my rose and crocheted a little leaf to go along with it. I love it and know my friend will too!
im making this right now!! super easy 1st one took me about 2 hours to make but im getting faster. if you are having trouble its stocknette 8 decrese 3 on 9 purl 10 increase three on 11 then stocknette till 18 rows
This is Eastern uncrossed or combination continental knitting. Not standard continental Very fast and easy. Wish that more patterns were available online using this method!
Good luck! Please share your work with us by uploading the picture of your work on our G+ community: plus.google.com/communities/114565707101448594615 We would like to see your work! Thanks )))
One aspect of the video that might be confusing to people who knit by wrapping the yarn over the top of the needle from front to back, the knitter in the tutorial is wrapping from back to front under the right hand needle. If this is how you knit (this is what I do) when you slip the first stitch, you need to slip purlwise with the yarn in front on the knit rows and purlwise with the yarn in back on the purl rows. Also, when you knit back across Row 1, you need to knit into the back of the stitch because all the stitches sit with the forward part of the stitch in back of the needle, rather than the front.
What she means is after you've completed the last petal (however many you wish) the last stitch/loop pull out a long loop, cut it at about 20cm long, that's the tail we need for the sewing. Actually the "pull out of the loop all the way" part was already been done when I said pull out that loop and cut it at 20cm, we just need to get rid of the strand that's been cut off from the work. I think it's a slip of the mind of her side, means it was accidentally reversed. Hope that helps.

Yes, agree too fast and confusing. I use Studio Knits for all patterns. There is a very simple pattern for a flower that I use. You cast on 6 stitches, knit one row, then Yarn overfor next row, 11 stitches, knit next row, Yo for next row, 21 stitches Knit next Carry in til you get bored, you will now have an looking shape, dont worry You should have 70 odd stitches, cast off, the work becomes wonderfully curly You can then see how to shape it together. You can make it tight like a bud or open it up It's very easy and should only take about 15 to 20 mins. Good luck!
While I agree she knits fast, this is not a knit-a-long! Maybe she should have labeled it for experienced knitters. I would appreciate a written pattern, as I don't always have access to UA-cam. If you stop and listen to her, the first 8 rows are 13 stitches of stocking knit. She slips the first stitch every row and PURLS the last stitch of every row. Just stop the video and do that part!!! If you have to watch someone to do 8 rows of stocking knit slowly, that's a problem! Then she slows down and shows the pattern spot in rows 9 & 11 and she tells you 6 more rows of sticking knit. Row 19 is right side [knit side] and she binds off by knitting 2 tog. When she has 1 loop left, she casts on 12 more & repeats the pattern! Make 4 of these petals. Then gather and sew the bottoms !! This is a GREAT video I plan to watch again & maybe again & again to see if I can learn to knit as fast as she does!!
As much as I like this pattern, I find you a bit hard to understand and captions do nothing to help. You link your website, but once you find this pattern on the site, it just links you to this video. In order for me to attempt this project I have to sit here constantly jumping back and forth through this video just to get the correct info on what you are doing. Why couldn't you just write out the pattern in the description? I understand it's a very basic pattern, and I really don't mean to sound rude, but I'm just having a hard time following along. Every row there is new info dropped that wasn't previously mentioned, but alters the entire pattern that I thought was correct. Maybe in the future you could take this into consideration and post the full written pattern either in the video description or on your website along with the video link.
you need to make your video more clearer as ive just tried to attempt this and found myself rewinding the video because your going too quickly and getting confused with what im supposed to do. please remake them
you keep telling people to just slow the video down but that's not a solution. you're too quick and you don't even include the written pattern anywhere, and barely any of your videos are really any help so i just get frustrated when they come up when i search for tutorials. this isn't a tutorial, sorry :(
she is only knitting the stockinette part quickly, which you should already know. she explains frequently to slip the first stitch and purl the last stitch. when she increases or decreases, she is very clear and goes a little slower.
I think this video isn't meant for beginners in the first, it assumes the ones already knows the basics, at least an advanced beginner or immediate. It's just knits and purls, forming stockinette. However, if you've noticed, her knitting style is Eastern mounting though, notably the way she purls, and then knitting through the back loop. The the decrease and then increase is done slightly differently from the Western style, but I think it can be easily adapted. What I do is write down the pattern so that I can refer to it without having to rewind it again and again.

In setting of the video is a function of speed of the video.
+Sheruknittingcom that function isn't on the mobile version of UA-cam and some people don't have a computer to use.
