Play with one mod,... WAIT HEAR ME OUT!!! This is a Bugfix "mod". It's more like a literal patch Tod was to lazy to care to make with his money & team. Check it out! www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266
Try to play a very hard dungeon on vanilla Try to play Volthum ruines (hire Vorstag in Markarth) Do it on legendary I want to count how many times you curse 😆😆
So there is one option for alchemy you can do, Wheat, creep cluster, giants toe, it’s a VERY effective potion and a great source of money, REALLY helpful regardless of what run/character you do. Looking forwards to the next episode
I like how your videos feel like we’re just chillin together while you play skyrim. Hour long formats are what I prefer but I appreciate you for uploading at all and not being so try hard.
I don't like playing vanilla legendary, but I like watching people play it. No matter what you do to the game, as many UA-camrs have shown, you *can* always beat the game (except keeping your character's hands bound) You can beat the game with 1 health, and without killing anything... hell you can probably do both. I use mods to add difficulty at adept because using the setting changes, to me, makes the characters too spongy. While I *could* beat it on legendary, the amount of grind and the play style required, just makes the not fun for me, I don't wanna spend an hour collecting ingredients or planning what missions to do hours beforehand. That's not what i play Skyrim for, but if you do enjoy doing all this I can definitely understand that, I do that sorta stuff with other games so go ahead and play legendary. TLDR: People play different games for different reasons, the idea of RPG games is that you play whatever way you like. Whichever you play... shut up and let people enjoy the way they like to play. Vanilla legendary, modded adept, or novice vanilla but you can only use telekinesis buckets for kills... all are valid.
I know my comment is super late (but I'm on a huge Skyrim Anniversary Edition binge, maybe you also still/again play), but I actually really like that playing on adept difficulty gives you the luxury to go for silly theme builds or power level tertiary (i.e. niche) skills like pickpocketing without feeling like you're massively gimping yourself.
@Mk Liz I do hope your first reply to the original commenter was meant to be a kind of "self aware trolling" thing. As in, you already knew that they made their comment to be funny. Then you simply made a generic insult to keep the joke going. I am genuinely concerned that your original reply was written in a serious mindset.
I really miss a vanilla playthrough of Skyrim, good for you! You might be interested to make a staff of storm atronach, it can be done pretty easy and cheap, even at the beginning of the game, I find it to be very helpful on Legendary Playthroughs. Also, since you do vanilla, you could check out some nice mechanic exploits left there by Bethesda, such as: The aspect of terror + fire spells, or the Necromage perk, if you intend to become Vampire.
These Videos have such a chill vibe!! I love watching your videos while just chilling a bed. Your voice is very soothing too. Please never stop making videos
Creep cluster+wheat+giants toes= crazy training pot. blue butterfly wings+snowberries= fortify enchanting. Glowing mushroom+ blisterwort= fortify smithing. in case anyone needs them :)
hey I was watching previous part, well it is nice to see someone playing on legendary, but I gave up because I got tired of getting enchantment, alchemy and smithing up to 100 so make badass enchantment armor and badass potions
Javier Garcia what I like to do to avoid potion stacking at every corner is to 1.get level 100 enchanting 2. Use enchanting to swap between fortify enchanting potions and fortify alchemy gear (sounds basically like fortify resto, but it isn’t nearly as overpowered, I’m pretty sure it caps at like 5-10% increase, but this isn’t required) 3. Use chaos and absurd health 4. Get the 3 improved damage perks from destruction. (Because you have chaos, you’ll end up dealing 700ish elemental damage because 1 point in fire will increase every element, and you’re doing this 6 times. The best part though, is that for literally no reason it will increase the strength of absorb health, so you’ll end up with 98 absorb health)
Javier Garcia forgot to mention the most important part. You won’t get your numbers that high without stalhrim weapons. Armor is whatever, but use a stalhrim weapon if you want to be absolutely overpowered. In case anyone didn’t know, stalhrim gets a (I think 25%) bonus to frost enchantments. Works great with chaos
Yep. Each Hearthfire home can have an outside garden and gives the option to build a greenhouse, do this to all 3 of the houses and you'll have more plants than you can mix.
As someone who mods skyrim let me just say play it how ever you want to play it. Whether that be with mods or vanilla, the hole point of skyrim is to play it how ever you want so long as you are enjoying yourself. Enjoyed the video. Keep it up.
I'm glad I stumbled across these. I'm currently playing through a Legendary playthrough for the first time. Focusing on Archer build (not stealth) and using a sword and board as a backup if I can't create enough distance. My first random encounter in the game was a troll, and even with a follower we couldn't out damage its health regen. Now that my archery skill is above 80 I can kill most things with patience. My biggest obstacle is trying not to shoot my follower in the back because they like to strafe.
You can eat alchemy ingredients to learn what their first property is, plus more with the right alchemy perks. It's an easy way to start levelling your alchemy skill since you will have a good start figuring out what ingredients go together. If you're lucky, mixing two items that already have 1 effect in common may turn out to have 2 or more effects!
Just the channel I need! Starting my first legendary run through skyrim and since I dont use mods either, I get a more accurate idea of what I will be facing.
Drinking beer on my own while watching this during corona curfew bullshit, and i like it very much. Thank u sir for making these! Never played on legendary mode myself since it doesn't make the game more fun, but just makes the enemies damage sponges. Seeing other people suffer playing like this is pretty great though.
Found your channel from the first vid, found this vid from you posting the link in the comments of the first vid. Thanks for doing that, keep up the good work, and may you be blessed by the algorithm
Jazbay and Dragon's Tongue are all over the place and also worth harvesting while in Eastmarch. Jazbay can Fortify and Regenerate Magicka when mixed with Salmon Roe (from catching Salmon when it jumps in waterfalls), and Dragon's Tongue can Fortify Two-Handed and Resist Fire when mixed with Fly Amanita, which is all over the place in caves with mushrooms.
I mean, i enjoy legendary with mods more than vanilla but i like watching other people doing it in vanilla and learn their approaches and ways they use. especially playthroughs that don't rely on game breaking glitches are the most interesting imo. love ya series, keep it going!
So quick tip. It's best to only pick things up for selling if it's worth 1000x it's weight. Also get the transmute spell for the place this episode started in and mine everything. Make jewelry to sell and you'll be rich in no time.
I play on expert... and bit for bit, you are making me want to play in legendary just because the preparation makes me think for real about what to do and whats important.. thank you.. plus, the preparation makes me wander around more..
My go to restore magicka potion before starting a hearthfire garden is Red Mountain Flower and Creeper cluster. Once I get a garden I use Red Mountain Flower and Mora Tapinella. Creeper cluster bugs out in gardens. Also red flower and MT also can make a good poison with impstool.
You can also get a ton of food stuff from the kitchen in the palaces. You might have to steal if you're not a Thane but that shouldn't be a problem at night.
orange butterfly wings and blue mountain flowers make good restore health potions but they also add the fortify health effect. orange butterfly wings are very prevalent in whiterun, and you get 2 per butterfly as well so they’re easy to get a lot of early on
Firebolt sometimes works with stuck items. Hey irish. This is my fav series currently. Keep at it. Im playing my own legendary vanilla playthrough and im only level 10 currently. Id rather watch you playing it and explaining as you go rather than have someone list off tips and tricks. More entertaining and your voice is great haha
Another good video. My sword quest had me needing to go to Valtheim Towers. I don't want to go there yet, so I pretended the sword was in same place as yours. I'll just put off doing retrieve the sword quest until we get around to doing Valtheim Towers.
I’ve recently started a new save on skyrim and tried to do it legendary difficulty, but didn’t know what build nor playstyle to follow. Your videos are quite enlightening and fun to watch, keep up the good work.
I think the most fun in skyrim I had was when I did a legendary shield/magic build. Pure heavy defence with non-direct damage, conjunction is fine, alturation, restoration is mandatory, illusion is helpful and you need a companion. Drop all your level ups in magika
I started on legendary and went from there, as I’m a sucker for pain, but I can give you a decent tip, get restorations quickly and get uthgerd the unbroken at low lvs, it isn’t that hard in later lvs but if you start up a game on legendary This will be a huge help, also if you use kajit (forgive my horrible spelling lol) don’t use weapons in early lvs and get gloves off the dude in the ratway, I really do hope this was helpful for anyone that tries legendary for the first time and is stuck in a level wall.
Ive been playing as a mage on legendary and honestly I got bored because of how much damage you do with you magic and its soo expensive to cast even with the perks for more damage
I beat the Ebony Warrior on Expert today, I regret not turning up the difficulty to master though. I started on Legendary and even duel wielding with two weapons almost doing 100 damage each it was still like hitting him with a stick =(
Do you not go to markath to get full dwarven amour/weapons or go to the orc stronghold to get full orcish armour/weapons? That would be decent for the axe as well as dwarven sirhing is quite low so you could improve the axe by quite a bit :)
I like to rush smithing to 30 and then travel to markarth and rob calcelmos lab to craft dawarven bows they lvl good and also sell quite well. Plus the dwarven armor is early really good if u also play the lexicon sidequest increasing the armorrating by 25 %
So i kinda started legendary and il admit...it was hard with my bad luck but i just eneded up doing my old strategy which is get soul trap, grind it till you get 100 in conjour,go to the mage school,do that little quest with the stone and then buy the dermora lord spell and put the perk points into the conjour tree for everything besides the bound weapons and i was set...took like an hour to set up but was fun

You can always kill Anise or marry Uthgardt for a free house.

Legendary is to easy , play some novice like we pros do
you know what's even harder than novice? not playing skyrim
@Mk Liz go away
@Mk Liz it was meant to be a fucking joke, dickhead
@Mk Liz you're no better you star wars fanboy
@Mk Liz I do hope your first reply to the original commenter was meant to be a kind of "self aware trolling" thing.

“I don’t care”
Not all heroes wear capes
Use mods, don't use mods--it doesn't matter, just have fun playing this amazing game and series. :-D
These Videos have such a chill vibe!! I love watching your videos while just chilling a bed. Your voice is very soothing too. Please never stop making videos
Elsweyr Fondu for magic users is awesome. That's what you should make.
I was having a really bad time today. This made my day better. Thanks, for uploading this video.
Creep cluster+wheat+giants toes= crazy training pot.
blue butterfly wings+snowberries= fortify enchanting.
Glowing mushroom+ blisterwort= fortify smithing.
in case anyone needs them :)
You are a life saver
I never like to watch lets plays - but this one is just so chill! Keep up the good work
Oh great, look what you made me do. I replayed skyrim. Again.
Literally was just watching the other one and was wondering when this would be posted ezpz

Ey man i love your playtrough , right now i'm doing a "No dying" run on Legendary, wish me luck
I'm so happy you started this. It's very entertaining! :)
I really like the format. I'm considering playing on legendary myself soon, because of your video.
When will the playthrough be done? When you defeat Alduin or when you are simply, done with it?
And WHAAT can you get a farm?
A farm is one of the things you can build with the Hearthfire homes
Yep. Each Hearthfire home can have an outside garden and gives the option to build a greenhouse, do this to all 3 of the houses and you'll have more plants than you can mix.
I don’t watch this cause I want to know how to play legendary, legendary just isn’t for me. I watch for you James 😊
We need to make a fund to buy Irish a new awesome video card! His content will be SOOOOO much better! Who's with me? 🍀
As someone who mods skyrim let me just say play it how ever you want to play it. Whether that be with mods or vanilla, the hole point of skyrim is to play it how ever you want so long as you are enjoying yourself. Enjoyed the video. Keep it up.

I haven't played vanilla in years but I absolutely LOVE that you are doing this in vanilla. I find that awesome.
Appreciate your opening. Nothing like just playing an authentic, vanilla, legendary playthrough. Its made me want to play again.
Found you yesterday started playing on legendary as well and fury is really underrated spell i never used and is awesom anyway great content.

I'd love if you played through every guild and dlc that'd be real nice and btw loving the series already :)
I’m glad to see someone else who also likes the game without mods.
Just discovered your Channel and I Really like It so far btw for some reason I Really like your Voice

"There are a lot of sacks in this place."
What are you tryna say man?
Yo, we got the same last name!
Protip: Garlic + Salt. Super easy to gather early in the game, and makes a potion that sells well and is worth decent XP (and is useful for wizards)
Garlic + Salmon Roe + Nordic Barnacle
I mean, i enjoy legendary with mods more than vanilla but i like watching other people doing it in vanilla and learn their approaches and ways they use. especially playthroughs that don't rely on game breaking glitches are the most interesting imo.

Genuinely enjoying this content dude. Although it's totally making me want to go back and start afresh with a new character.

Genuinely laughed at some of the moments you don't cut out like most of people. LOLOL love this series :)))
Firebolt sometimes works with stuck items. Hey irish. This is my fav series currently. Keep at it. Im playing my own legendary vanilla playthrough and im only level 10 currently. Id rather watch you playing it and explaining as you go rather than have someone list off tips and tricks. More entertaining and your voice is great haha
ik how to play vanilla legend, but i enjoy tht your doing unmodded with no exploits. its fun to watch.
Glad to hear anything is possible even on Legendary. Even if I have to cheese a bit, I'm preparing to go unarmed build on Legendary.
Your videos are quite enlightening and fun to watch, keep up the good work.
most effective glitch/mod free builds in my mind are:
illusion mage + dagger back stab
illusion+conjuration mage
I think the most fun in skyrim I had was when I did a legendary shield/magic build. Pure heavy defence with non-direct damage, conjunction is fine, alturation, restoration is mandatory, illusion is helpful and you need a companion. Drop all your level ups in magika
YES I NEED MORE EPISODES IRISH
Keep doing it your way, it is very enjoyable to watch.
Loving this series. Gotta try following along when I get a chance! ❤
It is easy if you play like a conjurer and try to evade hits. You can do it bro, we believe in you.
Awesome series, I’m now a subscriber. Looking forward to your next video :)
That explains why flames seems so powerful. When you pulse flames things die fast even on Legendary.
Loving the series so far keep it up!!!
Been enjoying the series man keep being the Skyrim slaying dude you are
Loving the series so far, keep it up
Probably not going to be doing this soon, but it’s fun to watch and will hopefully help me in the future so keep it up and thanks
Can’t wait for a part 3!
Ive been playing as a mage on legendary and honestly I got bored because of how much damage you do with you magic and its soo expensive to cast even with the perks for more damage
I’m really enjoying the play through. Keep it up
Just learned that trees and logs are the same thing. Thank you for teaching that.
Nice series i subscribed keep up the good work
Since you aren't using armor, using the spell that turns iron into silver and then into gold is a nice way of increasing you alteration skill
Please play the entire game in one sitting and upload 100 more of these at once so I can binge watch all of them
I really really like these kinda letsplays🙏🏻
Also im late watching these, ik
Someone else started a legendary skyrim play through recently but I'm already enjoying this one 10x more!!! :)
Subtle shoutout to Oboeshoes at 19:11. I watched him before he became obsessed with the dark lord Sigurd.
Plus the dwarven armor is early really good if u also play the lexicon sidequest increasing the armorrating by 25 %
New to ypur channel. Just started skyrim up again. Ty for your content
How do you not have 20mil subs hit this man some subs
I enjoy this game vanilla from time to time, it’s more out of nostalgia sake as when it came out me and my mate set up both our consoles in the same room and basically lost like 72 hours 😂
Keep grinding man!
i usually play on legendary but its tough starting out at that difficulty, especially when you restrict yourself to only two handed like i do
Step 1: Git gud scrublord
Keep up the headstrong playthough. :)
If a Skyrim without mods is vanilla, does that make a Skyrim with mods chocolate, or some other flavor? Also really enjoying the quality you bring to bear with this kind of content; thank you for putting so much work into it.
You might want to get conjure bow and sword and add perk for dmg in conjuration and add in archery and one handed some perks (not sure if adds on conjured weapons)
Thank you youtube gods for recommending this to me
im pumped for the series
I've always wondered if the generic dragons in Skyrim eat. You see men and mer eat. Even wolves standing over a fresh kill in random encounters. Giants eat mammoth cheese...and sometimes a whole mammoth. Do dragons eat?
Love the content man!
Looking forward to part 3!
vanilla play through are the best, i wouldn't be mad at an even longer video 🤷🏾♂️
Thank you for your videos, they're great and always refreshing! Just a quick question, why don't you give Faendal any equipment? Anything you looted would make him so much stronger
Also, being on fire does not increase the damage they receive from external sources, it just means you add 10-20% to the damage indicated on the spell.
There are a bunch of merchant chest you can get to that have all the merchant things in it like what they have for sale and there money in them whatch ESO,s vid in it
I thought you uploaded this video from the future because I'm still not used to seeing "2020".It just sesms so futuristic
Keep this up please!
