When I retired from the Army, I had a choice between getting my Master's Degree from UW in Seattle or joining the Seattle PD. After seeing what these poor cops have to put up with, I'm glad I'm so glad I chose the former.

Back in the 1980s I helped start teaching trauma medicine to our federal firefighters in Honolulu. They worked SO hard to be the best paramedics they could. Never lost their temper and treated all professionally. Now there are firefighter paramedics everywhere. Thank them for their service!
