Thank you for sharing! I've been an active member my whole life. However, when it came to my regular temple attendance, I was admittingly, less then stellar. My wife and I have been married for over 13 years, and I think I could count on one hand the number of times we'd been to the temple. Then, President Nelson gave us a renewed sense of urgency to go to the temple often. I can now say we went from going once maybe every other year to now we go once a week. Lately, we find ourselves CRAVING the spiritual guidance and nourishment found in the temple that once a week isn't often enough! We now go twice a week, because we want to! It's like you were saying about how it's hard to set aside our personal desires to study. But it's when we develop a habit of doing so that the real joy of the gospel sinks into our hearts.
Also, I wanted to add another temple experience, and that's the more I go, the more "urgent" it feels to do my ancestors work. We've been going consistently for months now. But the other day, it felt like everything was trying to stop us from going. I will say what changed was the ordinance work we were doing. We'd been doing mainly endowments, but that day we went to do initiatory work. When I listen to Jared from Christian Homestead talking about all the resistance that the early brethren had when the Melchizedek Priesthood was being restored, the resistance I felt that day suddenly made a lot more sense.
I will say this; if we really want to thwart Satan's plans, go to the temple. Remember it's not just about you, you are also helping God bind Satan's power everytime you go. Go with urgency.

Once I felt like the church was consuming my life. The I pondered how I wanted to spend eternity and realize I needed to adjust my attitude and live the best Celestial life now, because who I am now will be who I am there. If I can't find JOY now in all experiences of life now, I won't find it there either. Experiences teach wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and an "ATTITUDE of GRATITUDE " for all God has prepared for us to inherit. I find so much joy now in serving and striving to become a Celestial being.

Something that came to mind near the end of this video is you said something along the lines of how you wish you could share your oil. And you’re right (and the parable teaches this too) we can’t share our oil. However…we can share our light coming from our oil. And as people see that, and desire that, we can share where people can get oil of their own. To let their lights shine.
The Lord is pouring His Spirit out upon the people who are awaiting His return. I can definitely feel it. It is time.

GIRL!!!! I was in a RS production of the Ten Virgins right before everything shut down in the US for covid!!! It was so crazy the timing of it all. I didn't know how amazing it was right then but soon saw the lesson. I have an oil lamp made by an artist in our Ward for the production just for me

Can I add that President Nelson was very specific in his instructions to have his Thanksgiving message on 11/20/20 be at 11 AM and the message was just over 11 minutes long. We truly are in the 11th hour.

Nelson is a healer, he pleads with us continually and is so lovingly gathering us to Come Unto Him. we have been growing together with tares for millennia and the sifting, separating has begun. Pres. Oaks, the judge, will call the wheat- those ready and prepared to meet Our Lord and Savior and burn the tares. It is so sad to me that so many are deceived including my own family 😭

If people haven’t taken measures at this point to prepare temporally, I don’t believe there will be more warnings given. Seems that phase has passed. Thank you for this video. I was going through UA-cam like I do every night to look for something new to watch. Mostly it’s about the debates. And all the other worldly stuff. Sometimes I find some great church material. I love learning more about the church. But I have been impressed to watch this video. I have to say. I was not going to watch it. But I could not past it on. When I did watch it. It was like you were talking right at me on some of the key points that you were making. I was getting answers to one of my questions. Then seeing my error. I love to learn but I am really bad at it. The way that you are so excited about learning was how Elder David Benar said about learning. “Love learning about learning” You have shown me what it would looks like. The way that you light up. I have never seen your channel before. I understand why I did tonight. God Lead me to you, to show me what it is to love learning. You have sparked a light in me. It’s was By the way you are so excited to learn. I want that. As I felt your love for learning and understanding , it was refreshing to my soul. I can’t describe it. One of my pay attention numbers is 11:11 I see it everywhere. I never liked that number because on 11/11/2012 was the day I found out that my dad was going to die. And three weeks later he was gone. But when I realize what that meant I apply it to now. As in we are in the 11th hour of the 11th hour. My father was in his, and I get to remember that we are in ours. The savior will be here soon.
Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼. I have been so tremendously lonely , unloved and unwanted since my parents died 13 months apart. I am an only child. My husband wants to divorce me- he says he hates me. He goes to Church bc we take our grandchildren but has not taken the sacrament, paid tithing or done his ministering in many years. My children are infected with the same coldness & callusnous. I feel like keeping me on this earth is more of a punishment than anything. I want to go home 😢
@@scubed8671I have been divorced twice. First was my wife telling me she was gay, second was physical and emotional abuse tried to kill me. My first wife alienated my three children from me. After several years of feeling much like you, I began to accept that God has a plan for me. It took time but these years later, I thank my Father in Heaven each day for the experiences in my life. I am now married to an amazing woman and we are waiting right now for a sealing clearance for me so we can be sealed. Just this week after years of prayer, my son sent me a message saying he is trying to find God again and needs to find faith.
This was not an easy journey by any means but each experience in my life has given me daily increasing faith in my Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Miracles are happening in my life. I had to experience time and patience as God is leading me by his will.
I to still long for home like you for we all are strangers here.

@@scubed8671 I too feel a homesickness for heaven and my savior. I struggle deeply with emotional pain and issues from PTSD. Pray always. He is there. The negative thoughts and desires are coming from Satan. Focus on anything good. Keep redirecting your mind back to good thoughts. Listen to church music. Get outside in nature, and keep praying. Much Love.
I love movies. I used to spend hours upon hours each week watching movies. Then, I had an experience in the Celestial Room of the Kansas City temple in mid-May 2024 that left such an impact on my soul that I have lost all interest in the entertainment the world offers, including the wholesome entertainment. It all just lost its appeal. Now, all I want to do is go back to the temple over and over again, or spend my time preparing for my next temple trip. My wife and I have decided we want to live a temple going lifestyle. That is a big deal for us, because the Kansas City temple is three hours away from our house in Lehigh, Kansas. There is a major sense of urgency in temple work. Our temple covenants are the ark - the ark of our covenants - that will preserve us.

When you read about Amalekiah and Moroni…I thought of President Nelson being like a Moroni that prepared the minds of the people to be faithful…
President Nelson in Oct. 2022 Conference prepared the minds of those willing to hear to become a people the Lord could return to.
As you read that Moroni built forts and places of refuge and resort… I immediately heard the word Temple in my mind. I thought of all the Temples that are being built. The fences and gates that are built up to surround these places of safety. We have been told the Temples endow us with power and strengthen us. These are our fortifications from the world.
I do hope it is time!
We are to study but more than than that. We are to become like Christ and apply what we learn!
I don't care too much if I make it to the Second Coming. I will see the Savior either way. My goal is that (at least)one person is there to meet Him because I helped.
You get out of anything what you put into it. I think church is my favorite part of the week! We live a day's journey to the temple, so we go when we can. Enjoy Bear Lake! My favorite place in the world!

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Lives! He is magnificent! As we seek to know Him, The Father guides us to Him through the Holy Spirit. The more we learn to align our lives with our Savior, the thinner the veil becomes and the more natural our communication with Him becomes. In this life we will continue to have tribulation, but be of good comfort and rejoice for He has already overcome the world! Let Him prevail in your heart, let Him prevail in your mind, let Him prevail in your life… And you will have now a peace that passes all understanding… We don’t have to wait for His return to have glimpses into heaven… If we center our lives on Him now, we can begin to experience our own piece of heaven on earth right now while we work to prepare the world for His return! Reflect on just a moment when home center church was made official that’s the small fort, also everything out is good with the strengthening and building up the fortifications. That’s exactly what all this is right now. It’s always been going on for many years but it’s focused right now more than ever.
It's been time for hundreds of years and out of thousands and thousands these are the years come up every single generation has believed that the Lord was coming back in their lifetime
Food storage is still being encouraged and talked about, but because the church is a world wide church they have to be careful because in some countries it is against the law to have large amounts of food stored because it is considered hoarding. Its just as important to have a 2 year supply of food, clothing, and fuel where possible now as it was when first encouraged when I heard it in my youth. Recently finances since been added to that. The emphasis on spiritual preparedness seems to be increased because so many of the saints "hearts are failing them" , too many members are becoming inactive. That is MY perspective on things.
The Brethren have taught that the 10 virgins are good members of the Church that were looking forward to Jesus. 5 not wicked members, but unprepared. What does it mean to go meet the Bridegroom unprepared?

I heard from Pres. Nelson earlier tonight, giving us 5 things to prepare. "Do it now -- Time is of the essence -- you can learn from Captain Moroni." I was going to show you my lamp, but you can't see it anyway. What kind of oil is that? My mother would say to us kids when Elder Monson would visit our Stake, "Now He is going to be a Prophet some day, and I just love him." I was probably 10 or so, thinking, "there she goes again, Elder Monson will be the Prophet some day, yeah, yeah, yeah." And shame on me!

...President Nelson also said that even more important than physical preparation is spiritual preparation..."time is running out"...sooo many things...[getting rid of ADDICTIONS "of all kinds" even food...the prophet spoke about...Christ KNOWS we HAVE to get rid of bad habits to be FULLY ready to meet HIM & be - in my wording - "clear conduits" to HEAR HIM...other people of various Christian denominations are getting these messages too...even peope who belong to NO church are getting that something tremendous is getting ready to happen...reminds me that DECENT people from all walks of life will be able to LIVE in the Millenial Reign of JESUS CHRIST...OUR LORD OUR KING OUR CREATOR & SAVIOR...p.s...EXCELLENT POINT about CONTRIBUTING in classes...specifically...the teacher should only speak 40% of rhe time...& basically, just lead discussion...many DONT tho...& Main goal is to "get through" ALL the stuff they prepared...DONT DO THAT...let the SPIRIT lead - it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE...it can be scary cause your think g you might be standing there qith NO ONE participating...but take the chance....

Oh sorry! It’s the grant hardy annotated Book of Mormon and also the Thomas Valletta’s study guides!
In the first footnote of President Nelson's last Conference talk, he says, "I filled the vacancy in the Quorum of the Twelve left by the January 11, 1983, death of Elder LeGrand Richards. Elder Oaks filled that which was left by the January 11, 1984, death of Mark E Peterson." I find it stunning that both predecessors to President Nelson and President Oaks both died on 1/11 exactly a year apart! Presidents Nelson and Oaks were called at the same time. President Nelson made a point to inform us of that fact and that they have now been serving for 40 years. I believe that is significant. Numbers have meaning.
100% my thoughts too. Moses and Aaron led Israel out of Egypt after 40 years captivity and I believe President Nelson and Oaks will lead the saints out of Babylon/world to stand in Holy places, temples of Zion. Everything is lining up including Kirtland temple etc.
