I like to think that he still sees her as the little girl who resurrected him even though she's older now.
I find it very nice that the first skeleton she ressurected is nice to her and not lewd or lazy or evening stupid like the others, I also feel sorry for Alice she should have resurrection more mature and smarter skeletons like the first one she ressurected

I love how her young self seems to have lucked out and resurrected a deceased gentleman, while her newer 'friends' were probably village idiots when they were alive.
Though imagine if he wasn't really a gentleman when he died and just became one with his new undeath.

The first skeleton she raised had such a high degree of loyalty and even understood some of the basics of necromancy, which makes me wonder who they were in a past life.
They might have been a warrior that was tasked with fighting? It seems they had a cracked skull,and that's hard to achieve in normal life, considering skulls are quite hard and sturdy,internal bleeding would happen more often than dying a broken skull.
Despite being a prodigy necromancer, she also has a big heart, Wich explains the skill points strategically spent on chest bulkiness.
Yes… she needs a big chest to support her big heart.

3. Her first undead is still with her to this day and is quite a dapper gent too unlike the other boneheads trying to peak at her when she's bathing
4. As Solus confirms, he's still with her out of his own free will, so his compliments and care are genuine
5. I like to imagine that he's basically the Alfred to her Batman. He's quiet, mild mannered, snarky, but would jump into the mouth of hell for her on a moments notice and if anyone tried to hurt her, he'd go Killer Instinct on their ass.

I mean "bone" jokes aside, how could a Skeleton be horny? Theres literally nothing their to gratify them physically, if anything they would just be annoyed by anything lewd because they can't do anything with it. It's like taking a deaf person to a concert or a blind person to a museum.

I’m absolutely using this as a plot hook in a dnd campaign now
Think about it. She still has the power to make them slaves with her magic but she doesn't. They annoy her as all get out but she still believes they deserve to have free will. That makes her a good person. And I think the Lich probably uses her for her "magic stores" so she has to be powerful as well. I also think the butler is probably a secret boss that only unlocks should someone hurt his Alice. She's a multi-faceted character with a lot of "backstory" behind her and "plot" in front of her.
Wouldn't necessarily say that makes her a good person. Both because we don't know if she can still make them slaves after resurrection, and the whole point of resurrection was to have company, so it would defeat the purpose if they were usy slaves.

More depth and emotional levels to this story than mainstream cinema in the last 5 years, even if it's a common trope.
This is why I love Ms. Necromancer.... Her character is really "fleshed out" and her "plot" undeniable the greatest.. She totally carried that massive "heart" on her CHEST! 💯

Really thought it was gonna take a dark twist there for a second. The reason being there are no kids in the village is because the village was destroyed by Bandits and Alice was the single survivor. And she wanted to use her necromancy to resurrect the bodies of the villagers.
This is so much sweeter and more wholesome tho.
This is the kind of necromancer I usually try to make, the kind that uses the dark arts as just magic and not some….control evil powers wOoOo~

Aww! This is so truly precious I absolutely love it! I always had a bone to pick with the notion of necromancy having to be evil. It never made much sense to me beyond "it's "wrong" so it must be evil" so it's always nice to see someone point out how easily and effortlessly it works as being not at all evil.
Reminds me of a liche I made that became that because of an accident, so instead of using the souls inside of him to keep himself young and powerful, he used them to heal others.
Reminds me of the time I made a necromancer based off of that "bob the necromancer" meme. He wasn't actually evil, he just raised the dead to help him in his harmless magic experiments, except all the undead he raised just lazed about. There was one that acted as a diligent butler, but other than that the guy was pretty chill. Shame I never got to use him, the campaign was ended prematurely due to player schedule conflicts.
A Neutral Good Necromancer that builds castles with a horde of skeletons.
A minotaur skeleton just walks up and picks them up and carries them off saying "Sorry, they got out of sight"

I don't know why, but this hit me so close to home. Played a long term necromancer named Kevin who, was just the best character you could ask for. Great campaign, great players, great DM, the whole 9 Yards. And his first undead was a skeleton named Flynn, and I loved that man...He ended up suicide into the mouth of a monster that was about to kill the party with a bag of holding full of explosive potions against Kevin's Orders...God I miss that campaign.
The OG undead being the supportive Alfred-like butler deserves an extra large cup of milk...

I need this to be a comic series. Not specifically confined in this 1 minute short- but a whole years worth of short stories or comics. This is just too cute and I keep coming back to some of these comics just watching them over again.

I think Necromancy applied to a spirit/body that DOESN'T want to return is wrong, specially when the Necromancer forces the undead to become their slave.

Then again it brings up a LOT of implications for the world it exists in. Like *why does ANYONE stay dead?*
How has the afterlife(s?) kept it(them)self(s) in business since any two bit necromancer can give the grim reaper the boneyard middle finger by wiggling their digits and mumbling some nonsense voodoo? How does anything get lost with the death of people such as mystical secrets when necromancy exists or how does forgotten knowledge STAY forgotten when it's possible to bring the fuckin dead back to the mortal world to tell you themselves?
*Why do people treat death like it's a BIG deal when it's more like a minor inconvenience at wors and is easily reversed!?*
Necromancy is always portrayed that way because it's seen as a perversion and reversal of the natural order of life and death. Not to mention that you can't ask consent from a dead body before resurrection, so it tends to stem from a lack of respect for the dead in that sense. It'd be one thing if the necromanced body in question consented to it before death, which would be an interesting concept in a magic world, like imagine organ donor volunteers but Necromancy volunteers in the magic world. You consent before death and afterwards, you are resurrected in a preferred form. Like, you could write down, "upon my death, I offer myself up to Necromancy. However, to conceal my identity, I would like to be resurrected as a skeleton soldier." And upon resurrection a contract could be written with the summoned undead kind of like summoning a familiar. That's really the only way I see a necromancer being a good person while practicing Necromancy. Even Alice in this video is less than morally right, despite how lonely and kind she is, because the comic doesn't answer the question, "where did the child Alice get her first skeleton from?" Since it seems the skeleton has no memory of their past life and is a new undead, proven by the skeleton's immediate understanding of Necromancy undead rules, then the body is kinda just stolen, right? As wholesome as this comic is, we don't know where Alice got her first skeleton, how she got it, or who it was. The fact of the matter is that that skeleton had relatives that most likely buried him and the Necromancy hijacked the body for the new undead. It's not consensual even in this case because the new undead is not the person that used to be in the body. Necromancy has a bad reputation because the only way for it to be okay is if the person resurrected for Necromancy consented to it before dying while fully understanding the consequences. Anything else is disrespectful to the dead and to the families of those dead. It may just be a magic, but every human resurrected is a human that used to have a life and now needs to rest. Of course, Necromancy on animals is a whole different subject regarding spirituality and animal rights, but an animal mecromancer would be more ethically okay. Like, if you're going to bring stuff back from the dead, a pack of wolf zombies is just as useful as a boney skeleton dude. In that case, Necromancy would be more acceptable.
Necromancy= mystical control over life energies.
One does not need to animate undead to be a necromancer. Hell, probably the most effective healers would be necromancers; they are the experts on life, death, and the energies that sustain life.
And even evil necromancers don't need undead when they can just weaken or cripple opponents with their magic. I think the whole "necromancer with horde of undead servants" concept is only so widely relied upon is because it makes a convenient antagonist that strikes an emotional chord with little effort. After all, humanity fears the unknown, and what is more unknown than the nature of life and death?
of course the whole "forcing a spirit back into a dead body" thing is super whacky and depends on the setting

I'm so glad I'm seeing more interesting takes on necromancers! I have a character that's based on Hel from Norse Mythology. She's a small child that just kinda wants to have a normal life and a bunch of friends. She likes ghosts and the dead because they openly talk to her and have no problems with her as a person.
I also had a necromancer character for a DnD campaign that sadly never took off due to COVID. She was just trying to bring her baby back to life and that's about it. Her whole story was that she wanted to not make an undead being, but to literally reverse time and bring her baby back to life for real.
Fucking love this type of wizard!!

All she had to do was learn "true polymorph" and turn them into humans
She could BUT there was a comic Baalbuddy made about one of them getting resurrected by someone and the other skeletons had to cut him out, it was rather funny and tragic
She made a zombie maid at some point but the skeletons were disgusted because for some reason even though they're skeletons they aren't necrophiliacs which makes sense I guess since the only person they've been attracted to was the necromancer herself who is a living breathing being.
