What a beautiful rig set up and one of the most beautiful videos, and i have a question: Are they V8 or something because they sound very different than American truck and 2nd from where are these truck coming from ❤
@@donnellykieranj we have both American and European in Australia my personal opinion Scania is number 1 with Volvo close second we only keep the stupid American trucks for the guys that are still like kids
@@CaptainKedah we have American trucks in Australia I am saying that the Scania can outperform American trucks it is what it is and like anything their is a best and second
I love seeing all trucks getting geared up with a hefty load and watch and listen to them shifting. Definitely love listening to a scania going to work. None of this fridge stuff i mean heavy plant or steelwork. A crane company in Scotland we hired had a ballast motor. 143 V8 500. Run of the mill engine size in todays market but listening to that thing work fully loaded was an absolute pleasure. But listening to some of they CATs and Cummins engine's aswell really good in USA and in Australia. The jakes sound real healthy .
Also, our lowboys are typically 48-53' long, and triple axles are rated up to 120 tons (240,000 lbs, sometimes even heavier!) and to help spread that weight out, most haulers tend to use jeep dollies and booster axles, because sometimes the loads are extremely heavy, but professionals do make almost $400K a year and most people actually use Cummins! The X-15 Performance series is rated 565-605 horsepower and 1850-2050 lb-ft of torque. But we'll probably soon see the Scania r770 and s770 in the US, Bruce Wilson has one already being shipped to the us, made for the US specifically. People who run older trucks typically run either CAT or the monstrous Cummins KTA 1150 (19L) rated 600-750 horsepower! But, Volvo, their VNX will be getting the D17! Which is rated up to 780 horsepower! But 605 horsepower is nothing compared to European trucks , which as an American, i love the looks of them! And that's not mentioning the Kenworth C500. That thing is truly a beast! Tractor variants can go up to 10x10 with twin steer!
not even about the hp, but how much more torque the euro engines output by comparison. the Scania Super 13L that International also uses (if it was tuned the same as the Scania 13L) would put the X15 to shame.
I saw 3 Mack Superliner in this video, thats more than I have seen here in the states in 12 years, and the last Mack cabover with the chromed grill, I dont know what the model is but I always liked that. Other than that, european heavy haulage equippment are so advanced the US. I mean with those big excavators they were out of the intersection in no time, Pete or KW would gone true all gears and made a traffic congestion.
I know a lot of trucks nowadays are automatics, but are these oversized load trucks automatics? Or do they use manual transmission when they are configured for heavy/oversized loads?
@@major3336 they use automated Manual transmissons. Fully Manual transmissions have to be special ordered. They become rarer these days. But you can get them.
If you missed it, you missed out big time! Nothing else like it.
I’m in 🇬🇧 and at our truck shows most take just their units, not fully laden. Sooo good to hear them pulling under load 😍😍💨💨💨
Heavy duty trucks and their beautiful sounds 👍🏻
Wow very amazing heavy truck. Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Thanks for watching!
This is the best video of the year. Thank you for posting!
So nice to see some trucks and cranes from Mammoet
I still have some amazing vids of the Brouwer Streamer. Was hauling a excavator in Velsen Noord. Huge

Yes, there is a difference in the sound of European trucks or American ones. The companies in this video are mostly based in the Netherlands.
Highly-specced Scanias are likely to be V8. Majority are I6. Sound difference may be due to exhaust design or crankshaft layout (cross vs. flat).
There you go all you American viewers. European hi tec heavy haul at its finest without using trailers the length of the empire state building!
