    Steve is the real deal. I had a 2 hour coaching session back in October. Before oct I had 1 century break practicing by myself with colors on spots and reds spread. Since oct I have had 9 centuries. Since I have been fanatical about snooker for 40 years I can’t believe how 2 hours coaching with steve helped me immensely. I have a table at home in Chicago which I have only had for less than 2 years. Couple of my mates can’t believe the improvement in my game. Planning to enter the Senior championship in Canada March . Cheers Steve!

      Hi there! It's something I'd like to do, although most people don't like being on video, so it's tricky to get people to play against. I do have video from a couple of years ago where I make a century against a practice partner, so I could upload that if it's something people are interested in.

    • @csaba.markus
      @csaba.markus 4 роки тому +2

      @@BartonSnookerHello Steve, yes, please do upload that video. What I'd really be interested in is a proper snooker game where the rules are extended with this item: The player on MUST speak out loudly whatever is in his or her mind.
      Such a game between two pro players would be fascinating but you could go ahead and demonstrate it with an opponent who is willing to cooperate.

    Incredibly useful routine that really does what the title says it should. What the title does not say is that it also helps in focus&concentration as well as, incredibly enough, angle recognition (simply because you aim at same-ish angles over and over so you know where *not* to hit the cue ball when you “lose” the position).
    Been doing this routine regularly the entire practice session for two months, no other; started off with 16 breaks, only to count 7 or 8 blacks couple of weeks after.
    For a beginner, there’s no better way to start to build confidence. Off to next routine, hopefully Steve will show us some in coming months.

    Just tried this tonight and got 73. Never scored so high before, 1 black i potted i had the white higher than the pink as i ran out of position. Awesome video and help thanks alot, this was alot harder than u made it look i had to come of side and top cushions multiple times.

    Simple yet effective, I feel my game has improved after a week of doing this, thanks, fyi I find it especially helpful to watch your positional play where you also show the graphic of exactly where you hit the cue ball on each shot, again especially around the black where we all get those same shots regularly and I struggle with some angles to get the white where I want it which has also improved and become a lesser issue after practising this routine, cheers.

I dont put the reds back on the table until They all 3 are potted. Makes it harder due to position. Thanks for sharing this video 🥰👍🔴⚫️🔴⚫️

    • @BartonSnooker
      @BartonSnooker  4 роки тому +1

      That's great to hear. Yeah, I definitely think you can do the maxi in this. The easier you make this routine look, the better your control must be. If you can keep on just potting the reds and stunning up the centre of the table, that's perfect control. Let me know how you do!

    • @CueBald
      @CueBald 4 роки тому

      @@BartonSnooker I've nearly done the maxi in the T excersize. 15 red blacks, missed yellow 🙄 I've cleared table with the 6 reds and 10 reds exercises you gave me in the report (videos on my channel) I think my cueball control is good enough to get the maxi in this excersize. I'll let you know! Keep the videos coming. How often would you advise coming to see you at my standard.?

    • @BartonSnooker
      @BartonSnooker  4 роки тому

      @@CueBald I think at your standard it's keeping on top of technique. So really making sure that everything is very disciplined and consistent on each shot.
      Then aside from that, it's having detailed discussions about shot selection and break-building. This is such a massively important skill that can be underestimated.
      The sessions are totally up to you though. If you feel like you're not improving as you would like and want some more things to think about, then come again. It's all down to the individual in my opinion.
