Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way is a 500km driving route that takes you though some of Ireland's most beautiful and unspoilt landscapes. With mountain high sea cliffs to golden sandy beaches there are a host of discovery points to venture along the way.
Activities include surfing on world class waves, cycling, horse riding on the beach, an array of links golf courses and kayaking and canoeing on wild Atlantic waters as well as the many loughs and lakes throughout the county.

As a french Young man from Lyon, France (some would recognize me) I can tell you this is one of the best place I've seen on earth
Im in donegal and I can tell you it is amazing
Going back for my 3rd time in June... We love the place !!
Me too
I went to Slieve League. It was beautiful. I wish to go back. I'm from America.
My grandmother was from Owey Is and my grandfather was from Innishfree!! And they met at an Irish dance in Bayonne NJ !!!!!!!
Donegal reminds me of the Outer Hebrides in Scotland! Beautiful 😍
and the influence in language and accent here is very obvious. We use the same slang words and have a distinct "Scottish twang". Whether we care to admit it or not.
@@irishcountrygirl78 I agree with you on that point
My husband and I love Ireland but we have never been in Donegal. We are going to come there next year maybe during summer time (we are from Italy). Thank you for this video!!! Looking forward to seeing these amazing places!!!!

Very proud to discover while researching family history my grandmother and her parents come from Killybegs , a very vey long connection ..❤❤
Went here in March 2019 and loved it! Don’t miss Killybegs while you’re in the area.
Donegal is by far the most spectacular county in Ireland. Visit Moville and Greencastle is a must. The sea walk from Moville to Greencastle is special as is the ferry crossing to Magilligan.
Good ol Donegal, im glad to see it becoming more popular and i have definitely noticed that after going there since i was born.
IrishBard where are u living right now
My favourite region in Ireland! Up here it’s different.
My Ancestral Grandmother (b1798) was Donegese of Donegal Town - planning a trip to the Homeland very soon - my other lot are from Cork, double the reason to visit!

My ancestors, on my father's side came to the USA from Donegal in the mid 1700s. I now live in Indianapolis.
Mine great-great grandfather was born there in 1779. Would love to find the area in Donegal where he lived.
We have a light hearted term for Irish descendants in my island - plastic paddies 😂😂😂. You all are very welcome in the homeland.
@trxpical dxm Polystyrene is the lowest classification of plastic so let's go for polystyrene Paddy 😂😂
Donegal's Wild Atlantic Way - what part of Donegal's wonderful coastline do you enjoy most?
+Go Visit Donegal So hard to choose, but Ardara and Bunbeg/Derrybeg are really special, as a road cyclist I had visit all this coast as far as Dunfanaghy, the tarmac is very good and there so many scenic points you can stop, refuel your energy and keep exploring! God bless that beautiful Nature, shall people take good care of it, too!
I loved driving through miles and miles of beautiful scenery without passing another car!
As a Donegal person I'm not telling you. lol... Some of the best places are still unspoiled.
Tracey Nesbitt. Oh go on ! 😀
Magheraroarty into Gortahork right over to Drumnatinny back strand beach outside Falcarragh is really nice. As is Downings to Rathmullan, hard to pick between them 2, Rosapenna hotel is nice for a light lunch if in Downings. Enjoy our County and may you receive a warm welcome and have a blessed time here.

From Ireland live near malin head and ehh it's ok since I live here...
Beautiful amazing true
Lovely video. However, Donegal County Council continue to ignore Ballyshannon...the oldest town in Ireland! When will D.C.C. recognise this and give the town 'special status'. This is standard procedure in many countries.
0:47 where is that?
Well Done Go Visit Donegal, Great Video. Check out Wild Atlantic Way Adventures video for a little bit more of Inishowen.

I wish Donegal would stop fibbing.
Croaghaun on Achill Island in County Mayo are Ireland and the European Union's tallest sea cliffs, they are 92 metres or 302 feet taller than Sliabh Liag.
Mayo is the county with Ireland's longest coastline.

Could you please tell me the location of the sea arch at 1:41. Thanks !
Think it's Great Pollet, near Fanad lighthouse.

When is Inish Bofin going to get a decent Pier? All the money from taxes going into tourist improvments in bridges , interpretive centres, etc, and the Citizens on Inish Bofin Need a pier for their livelihood. The Brits were better at some infrastructure than the Pogues in Dublin Dail!

Our lovely donegal has been taken over by Ukrainians, who make themselves comfortable in hotels, b&b places, take over the local buses in groups and leave no space for locals and tourists. it's easier to make a holiday in a hotel in kiew where is no war+ meet selenski in his permanent lovely outfit when he is not on the Vogue front page or looking after his money on the Virgin islands. Living in beautiful Donegal I have none of my friends from Europe, America or Asia coming as they wouldn't find overnight stays in the small villages here. What a great tourism advertisement.
You appear to be ill. Are you ok? Do you need an intervention???? and since when has it been your lovely Donegal??? We always welcome outsiders but we do ask that they welcome other outsiders and maintain our tradition of hospitability.
Meanwhile keep your filthy lies about the President of Ukraine to yourself. Slava Ukraina
