Just picked up my venu3 45mm after the horrible Fitbit App update! I’m loving the user interface and even more the double battery 🔋 capacity. Great review!
Yeah I was very happy with the Venu 3. I'm glad you're enjoying the watch and thank you for the kind words
It's plastic, the buttons are cheap, and the operating system is laggy. The watchfaces are Amoled, but the Amoled screen from Huawei is way sharper. The download apps are all useless. So, what is exactly good on this watch? Is it because you don't know better? I'm just curious what makes you think this watch is good.
Have you tried the fitness and sleep tracking at all? The GPS? The build quality might not be the best, but when it comes to fitness tracking, sleep tracking, and GPS accurately you really can't get better in a smart watch
@FitnessWithFrost I was wearing the Huawei GT4 before the Venu 3, and that watch is so much faster, better materials, and better looking. I sold the Venu 3 and bought the Huawei 4 Pro, and this one is even more better. Probably the Garmin has better health features but the operating system is laggy and that's a big deal breaker for me.
That's totally understandable. Huawei typically does have a very competitive price point too. I hope you enjoy your new watch
Thank you for your review. Agree with you, all points. Amazing watch, got the Garmin Venu 3 for the last 2 weeks, and it is impressive. ...I am a runner "always outside", and the Venu 3 is just perfect. I am coming from Fenix 7X (which is a Leopard by the way), but sometimes too heavy to bring with me (especially when I do not need maps and routing), and at work - The Venue 3 has become my primary watch, elegant, smart, light... but with the heart of a lion.
I'm went back to the Galaxy watch 6 myself... But I'm starting to miss the Venu 3 a good amount. It's such a great device all around. I'm glad you enjoyed the review
I had the Venu 3 but I hate how fast notifications disappear on the watch. I ended up exchanging it for a Samsung galaxy watch 6. I love the galaxy watch!!! It may not be as accurate as a Garmin but even Garmin says their accuracy is just an estimate of your overall health.
I just checked the Garmin website and the Venu 3s does have Bluetooth phone calling and voice assistant support. The Vivoactive 5 does not which is $150 cheaper and roughly the same size at the Venu 3s. The Venu 3 series does let you repsond via old school # keypad type input when connected to Android.
Vivo5 also has an older sensor pf 4th generation venu3 got generation 5
I think I might have misspoke and I ment the Venu 2. The vivo 5 does have the older sensor, but that sensor is still very good
Is this watch good at sleep tracking that's the main feature I'm looking for in a smart watch?
Hows sleep tracking compared to fitbit?
Correction: you can type messages I believe only for Android not Apple. At the bottom of the pre-built one is an option for KEYBOARD. You can type using old school T9ish keyboard, it's actually very quite efficient once you learn it again.
Look forward to the link for bands. I have a hard time finding ones I like for garmin and also prefer fabric bands
Thank you for reminding me. I'll get that on within the next hour
@TheCodeda I just posted that link. Enjoy!
Thanks!!
No problem. Good luck with the new band
Your wrong. You can text respond with the keyboard. I had this watch for about 2 weeks and I was able to respond to messages via keyboard. It's an old school keyboard like how we used to text on old cellphones. It's under all the quick responses. Swipe until you can't anymore.
If it has Siri as an assistant you should be able to send text messages on the Iphone, yes,no?
It's a decent watch but overpriced
unwatchable due to constantly changing focus. Hurts my eyes
I honestly didn’t even notice watched it all the way through
isn't this for women?
No
Yet another "review" that eats your time... 12 min to explain something that could easily fit on 1 page !!
Perhaps OK for people who can't read ??
I mean I understand that. But to talk down to people that enjoy to watch someone talk about a product and say they can't read. That's uncalled for
do you understand that youtube is a video platform?
Couldn't help but spit up my coffee a bit on that comment🤣
