How I made Kaylee’s Layer Cake Dress from Firefly: Shindig

After 28 videos, we’re finally taking a look at the centrepiece in the background of almost all my videos - Kaylee’s Layer Cake Dress from the Firefly episode, Shindig. This was a long making process that spanned almost 3 years, and I finally got to take her out somewhere fun.

5 yards cotton/poly broadcloth
8 yards pink poly-organza
5 yards peach poly-organza
1.5 yards poly-organza
1.75 yards embroidered poly-organza overlay
1 thrifted curtain
