Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were very good in this but little Kristen Dunst killed it,she was fantastic.
Yes
Stole every scene she was in.
2 years later and nobody bothered to say her name isn't Kristen...it's Kirsten 🤣
2022 remake lmfao go watch
Don’t forget about that Antonio Bandero
One of the very best vampire movies ever with a amazing cast
Thank you a lot for like my comment
do you have any recommendations for other good vampire movies or series?
@@qgqsrg1 try "what we do in the shadows" its veryy funny
@@azk.agh96 damn, I already watched it :( . Was good though.
Vanhalsing
Anne Rice initially thought Tom Cruise was a horrible choice for Lestat. After seeing his performance she admitted she was wrong and apologized. Everyone in this film did such a good job. Great movie. RIP, Anne Rice and thank you for giving us such great stories and characters.
Why are u copying someone else's observations trying to say they are your own??????
Kirsten Dunst should've gotten an Oscar Nomination for this film.
Yes!! She stole the whole movie!
She got golden globe nomination for a supporting actress btw.
Still her best movie.
I somehow believe that this frenchise helped to establish vampire aesthetic in anime and manga.
King Ghidorah I can see that for sure.
Which animes are you referring about
@@animageekgurlfan1346 all the vampire ones lol
I haven't seen this movie but that Lestat guy gives me some DIO impressions.
Brad Pitt looks like Alucard from Castlevania
I honestly think this was one of Tom Cruise's best role. It feels like he was actually trying.
Also, no one mentions how amazing Antonio Banderas was. I heard him on an interview once talking about how he barely knew English and had to memorize his lines sometimes without fully understanding what he was saying.
The casting was just fantastic.
Tf does "it feels like he was actually trying" mean? Dude shows total dedication in every single role he plays
@@nekitamol1k242 We get your like tom cruise and to a point all actors show dedication in every role. But this role was actually true acting. Lots of roles are not much of a stretch from who the actor really is. This was different. For example. The way diniro acted in cape fear was so different then his typical mobster roles that seem like him in real life. Not much of a stretch. But in cape fear he even spoke different with a country twang. Very good acting. Tom did the same here. It was like watching a totally different person. I love when actors challenge themselves.
@@videoplaylist5973 Then people should learn to elaborate themselves
It was. This is my favorite novel. I love Anne Rice.
I remember when TC was announced as Lestat you could hear the world groan with disgust, then after the first weekend it was OMG< TC was the perfect LeStat
For all the Twilight fans out there. If you want to see a really authentically good vampire movie this is the one to watch
You are right! No CGI baby.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) is another one for them to check out. No CGI in that one as well.
Near Dark is also pretty fabulous, in a low budget way.
@@Person1865 That's one movie I still have to check out.
@@neilsingh5923 it's very 80s in the best way.
The actors were all so hot - Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Tom Cruise and Chris Slater were at their peak in terms of fame and looks. The movie is everything a vampire movie should be - dark, romantic and melancholic
Ohh the 90's. I spent my youth on the cinema watching those jewels. The soundtrack is just astonishing.
Everything in the 90's was something else ..
I get bored nowadays , everything seems so bland ..
I can’t decide which of the two men is more handsome ... they still compete ...
majority will say brad, n bout this one im with majority
Brad Pitt.
I prefer tom
Tom
Christian Slater.
I'm new to this movie and already my heart is breaking at the sight of Claudia forever trapped in a child's body. Poor girl.
"You made us what we are, Didn't you? Did you do it to me??!"
I read you comment the moment it was said in the video noice 😅
2022 remake lmfao go watch
Hi
It’s a solace to Anne Rice who lost her child to leukemia
Back during a sleepover I asked my friend what type of movie she wanted to watch and she said something with hot guys. I asked her if she liked vampires and she said as long as it's not twilight. I was like oh I got the perfect movie for you XD
Great example of the difference between wanting to die and wanting to live forever. People don’t realize “Death is a gift from the Gods.” Helps us appreciate the pleasures and pain of life.
This is one of the best vampire horror movies ever, and probably the most stylish of them!
I got nostalgic when i saw this. It unlocked a childhood memory, when i was about 6-7 years old (i'm 30 now) my mom and i went to the countryside, her hometown, and we travelled via this big ferry, it was just economy class and this film was showing on tv. I just remember being happy, we didn't have a lot of money but my mom just makes things fun. Those were the days, i treasure those memories a lot cause i just lost my mom earlier this year, that was our fave bonding, watching movies together
God be with you🙏🏻
Masterpiece of cinematic history
Breathing Air... God level directing and acting!
2022 remake lmfao go watch
I searched this because I got curious with the 2022 series, damn Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as vampires, they are freakin gorgeous in this movie 😍😍😍
FR TOM CRUISE AS A VAMPIRE. HE IS SMOKING HOT
I still remember when I watched this movie as child and my god... Brad Pitt with his long golden hair, icy blue eyes.. Was so beautiful it hurts....
Exellent movie.. One of a kind for its time 👌👍
Don't you mean Tom Cruise?
@@707kat8 don’t you mean both?
@@isabeld2879 I mean no doubt his hair is strikingly beautiful. It wasn't a diss on how gorgeous he is in this movie. It was more a question of hair color ^^;;
I also watched it as a kid, damn this movie is so dark and beautiful at the same time.
It messed me up for life 🤣
2022 remake lmfao go watch
he is black now ...
Dear fierce and beautiful lady - rest in peace. You gave us a whole new perspective on any idea of a vampire story - and helped us see ourselves clearer in the process. Thank you.
2022 remake lmfao go watch
Great film with a top notch cast. To have Pitt and Cruise in the same movie was something which the public always wanted to see.
Top two leading men in the 90s!!! Tom cruise and brad pitt!!
Fun fact: River Phoenix was supposed to be Christian Slater character.
😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
If he didn't die, I think River Phoenix would've had an amazing career, he was talented beyond his years
Funner fact: rather than accept payment,, Christian Slater donated his earnings to charities that River Phoenix had supported.
This is really under appreciated
2019 and still one of my favorite vampire movies
2023, and still one of my favorits too.
Hands down, the best vampire movie ever
That would be "What we do in the shadows"
Along with Dracula(1992)
Bram Stoker's Dracula is the best, but this is 2nd best ~
Who's here after watching the new adaptation and felt like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt still aced it more than the new one?
Going to watch the movie first before the show
Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are my favorite actors of all time and I’m currently in acting school so I can be just like them 🙏🏻😇✨
Good luck with that LOL, you're gonna need it
🙄
Just don't sell your soul like them. You can't get to the top w/o selling yourself so I suggest getting a real job and making a real difference and doing plays and Broadway on the side.
That was classy enough! Felt nostalgic
This trailer deserves to be remastered.
Probably the most nostalgic feeling when i had watched it recently . It reminded me some memories that i didn’t think. I feel sad and it same time happy to lived this experience by watching this masterpiece during my childhood
The only Vampire movie that has ever mattered.
Facts
Ugh Dracula????
@@remyd8767 Which one? All the ones I've seen have been terrible. The book is good though, of course.
@@madstylesnz 1992. The one with Keanu reeves and Gary Oldman
@@remyd8767 Yep that one - hated it, even though it has good reviews, i just can’t enjoy it. I did like Gary Oldman’s portrayal though but that’s the only redeeming feature of it.
This my favourite Tom Cruise performance! He's not being his usual cocky self but a powerful character and a great antagonist
Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt 👍
Cruise/Pitt needs to do another movie together again.
I heard Anne Rice passed away so I bought this book on Audible. I'm hooked. Only eight hours left 😢
i was 13 when this came out in december 1994...i asked my mom to see it and we all went with the neighbors... i had a feeling it'd be a very good movie! wish they had kept it at 3 hours long
3 hours ?
Same, I was 13 as well but wasn't allowed to see it in theater because it was rated 16 and only got to see it two years later on VHS. :D But I'd read the book at 12 already. lol I own one of the original scripts they used on set and it has a couple of scenes in it that were cut out.
@@phangirlable o você tem o script ? O Deus me passe o link ?
@@kauanamaral1654 It's actually one of the couple of dozens of physical copies they made for the film crew from the original typewritten script (I kid you not, it was written with a typewriter :D) so unfortunately I don't have a digital copy.
@@kauanamaral1654 But if you'd like I can type up that scene with Louis watching Lestat with the slave couple for you. :)
I love how chaotic this gets at the end
The acting in that movie was phenomenal!!! All three legends Ethan hunt, Marry jane watson (MJ), and Mr smith killed it. Hard to believe it was 28 years ago🔥❤️
18? honey it was almost 30 years ago
@@IndiBindiWindi sorry i was about to write 28 💀 Thanks for correcting me😂
Can't believe I had never watched this masterpiece earlier. I watched it for the first time last night. Amazing writing, and all around top notch acting from everyone involved in this movie
This movie brought me to the books, so the characters had a face and a voice for me. That’s why I can’t even stomach the series that came out. It’s just a shame 😢
@sabinito1978
I am not a fan of the AMC version either (long time fan of the books). However, Sam Reid is a perfect looking Lestat but I can’t stand how they wrote his character. He isn’t a very sympathetic character in Interview (although that changes through the Vampire Chronicles) but I don’t remember him being that hateful and savage.
Also, hate the period/time change and Louis as a pimp. I did watch the whole series though- mainly to feast my eyes upon Sam Reid.
Ha ha
@@LunaWolf29 I’ll probably give it a try at some point but when I saw they turned my boy Louis into a pimp it just, I don’t know I can’t even explain it. I was like what are they doing??? 🤦🏽 😭
This will forever be my favorite vampire film of all time
I also like Bram Stoker's Dracula.
This movie was on the top selling masterpiece at the era of BETAMAX and VHS. I still have them, a couple of the best movies in the 90s. From Terminator 1 & 2 till the Independence Day of Wil Smith.
I swear the mind 90ies were a movie era that will never come back. So. much. brilliant. stuff!
@@phangirlable They were the golden times.👌👍
The 90s and the 80s the best era of all time!! Good time to be alive as a teenager and a kid,
What a badass cast on those times! :D
This trailer is the best, can only imagine someone who has never heard of this book or movie watching it for the first time.
Absolutely haunting and beautiful movie. Other than Stoker's Dracula, it is the Ricean vampire lore I'm most loyal to. Speaking of which, I'm about to rent it on prime to watch it again; just read a comic from Claudia's point of view (story written by Rice herself), which has inspired me.
This movie so good I can’t get enough of it
more trailers from less known movies from '80 - '90
This cast was stacked!!😂
One of my favorite films!! Love the scenery in New Orleans and acting is superb!
Came back to this because of Anne Rice. R.I.P. Anne Rice
One of the top five vampire movies in history. Change my mind!
Brad Pitt looked exquisite in this movie LMAO
One of the best vampire movies ever. If you enjoy vampire movies watching this awsome.
That's Kirsten Dunst?! Omg! I know I've seen this movie before...I remember the title, but I have no memory of anything that happened in the movie. About to watch it. It's going to be like watching it for the very first time. Super excited!
Lets not forget that Leo wanted to be in this movie too but he didnt get it :( and he likes Brad Pitt and said he is a good actor
@KAUAN OLIVEIRA yeah
DiCaprio
I think I’ve watched it a million times. LOVE IT!!!
Ah the 90's!😍🤎
Tom Cruise embodied Lestat.
It's funny cause on the credits of the trailer it says 'Music by George Fenton' but the score was composed by Elliot Goldenthal (nominated for an Academy Award for this one). Guess Neil Jordan hadn't fired Fenton when then trailer came out.
There's nothing quite like 90s cinema, there are so many beautiful shots in this film especially when it come to shooting the sun a director these days wouldn't even try.
God I love that narrator's voice.
This is one of those movies that we watch over and over again.
Watching it in 2020,. Quarantine time
I wish that Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt could do a sequel to Interview with the Vampire it would be awesome.
he was too child looking at the time. wouldve been a miscast
@@hurpaderpp ?
@@kauanamaral1654 Vampires don't age, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have aged a lot.
@@blucolife There is a lot of makeup techniques plus CG to make actors look younger. They already need that 'white skin' look, so it would be covered up really good.
@@spiritualzorro Yeah, but their voices have changed, their bodies have changed as well. Besides, we already have sequels to Interview with the Vampire. We have The Vampire Lestat for example.
This one is one of my favourite movies ever.i had watch it in november, and i ll watch it again, next year
I happen to be listening to this audiobook atm.. Great movie
2023 and still one of the best vampire movies
Wow - tom cruise and brad pitt in a movie together?! Looks like great acting!
Probably this is Tom Cruise´s best performance ever.
Probably his second best. Check out Born on the Fourth of July for his best.
Collateral (2004) is also one his best.👌

"What we do in the shadows" parodies this a lot😂

The best vampire movie ever
I don't remember a marriage story being this good
best movie of both Brad and Tom. beautiful past memories 💔 why time goes on this fast !!!😞
Gonna watch this hopefully
Tom Cruise kills it. Amazing performance.
This movie is amazing!
Rip Anne Rice.Great work !!!!youll be missed
I always thought they eyes contact were beautiful until this day
I watched the movie for the first time this month.
now this.. is what true vampire aesthetic looks like.
Rest in peace (Anne Rice)
So, if Tom Cruise can play a vicious vampire, then why not the Mummy?
Because the vicious vampire he played was a mummy who had fortified his inner self and lost all desire to spend time with a fun and engaging person. No need to repeat that...
RIP Anne Rice
This movie was so nostalgic... When I was a kid, my mind always starts to remember the line "I want some more.." of Claudia (played by Kirsten Dunst) just like from 2:02, every time I watch it... And that line talks about "blood" If I am not mistaken...
And after more than 25 years, honestly I started to imagine that someday, the well-known and 90's popular action role-playing video game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night can be filmed wherein Brad Pitt could portray "Alucard" & Tom Cruise could portray "Richter Belmont".... Because for me, Brad & Tom could "fit" the characters Alucard and Richter who are actually same vampires...
I wish that there could be a chance for that thoughts...
The one thing that stayed with me was the thumb ring lestat used. I vaguely remember seeing this movie as a kid
I absolutely love this movie. 🇧🇷
Who’s here after the news of Anne’s passing 😢😢😢
My All time favorite movie wonderful superb great. Brad Pitt. Tom cruise. Christian
