@@jutahsweet! I remember talking to you before and you were saying Philly was one of your fav American cities! But yeah kensington avenue in north Philly is very rough. They have programs where they clean the streets up and help the addicts. But unfortunately people come from all over the country for phillys fent and it’s been hard to stop since the police don’t have much power to get them off the streets. The more east you go like within east kensington , and olde kensington, it gets nicer. I’d say to the east of frankford avenue or even a few streets west of frankford , you start to see some newer homes pop up with young professionals. Fishtown and northern liberties used to be very rough areas, but have totally 180’d starting around 2007-08

@@jutah a lot of Rocky’s sights are in tougher areas of the city such as kensington. But there are some south Philly spots that are filmed to, which is where I just moved too! But Yeah it is odd that kensington is such a hot topic now. It seems like since Covid, people have taken advantage of the views itll give you. A lot of it highlights some problems that maybe in turn will lead to some awareness and solutions. And I think people watch these videos in genuine shock that this could be the USA. When in reality this is everywhere, all over the world. But it seems like a lot of those kensington videos are filmed just for clout, or to bash these people, or even use it as a political blight against a large city. There are so many areas of Philly that are great. Even in the tougher areas you can see some great architecture and meet some great people. I appreciate what you do, showing the real city, along with many along the world. Drive safe!
I have a question, when you drove around Philadelphia, have you come across any shopping centers with signs letting people who live in Philadelphia tell the shopping center through their website what restaurants and shops they want to see? The reason I ask is that every day on my drive home from work, there is a shopping center on my route to and from work located in Flower Mound, Texas, called Lakeside and there is a sign in the East part of Lakeside telling people who live near Flower Mound to tell Lakeside through their website what restaurants and shops they want to see in the East Part of Lakeside which makes me wonder if there could ever be any other areas that have shopping centers with signs letting people who live in Philadelphia tell the shopping center through their website what restaurants and shops they want to see.
