  • Driving into Downtown Toronto on Yonge Street at sunset. Great to visit Toronto again! Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore. It's a dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, all dwarfed by the iconic, free-standing CN Tower. Toronto also has many green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen’s Park to 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo.

This is such an accurate representation of driving in downtown Toronto: Barely moving, stuck in traffic and hitting a red light at every intersection.
Paris is the City of Lights and Toronto is the City of Red Lights.

Toronto needs those center turn lanes because there’s always some BS roadwork happening that causes one, two, or three lanes to be closed at any given point in time. In large US cities like Chicago, car traffic flows much more smoothly, or you just don’t drive a car like in New York, where you can actually get to places on one subway ride instead of transferring from bus to subway to bus again and then streetcar.
