Hello Mr. H, Its me again with a boring awquard question For my Mondeo MK4 2.0 TDCI 103KW QXBA engine, with 175 K miles. I have a problem witch I cant figure how to solve. First thank you for the fast reply :) The DMF was changed a little over 2 months ago.. But the engine doesn't run so ruff with more diesel in the tank, but it runs smother with less. Maybe the pressure regulator in the pump ?? No one as corrected the fact that those engine injectors don't use injector correction they use classification classes. like 4.5.6. The Number u enter on top of injector are for old 2003 type injectors.
hi, if i had a kit i would but it is not something i do....i dont even think it is something i will do in the future..i would probably search to see of daytime running light kits are available with fitting instructions
i don't bother having them cleaned..the expensive ones you buy from ford are good but the cheaper rebuilt ones from motor factors can sometimes cause more problems than you started with..usually i will only replace the faulty ones as all of them is very expensive
With a lot of cursing! I did one yesterday on my brothers car, exactly the same engine. I hadn't seen this video until today, so was not sure whether to fully remove the clips, but as the leak off pipe wouldn't move I fully removed the clips. The leak off pipes were still stuck fast but with some careful prying they all came out. The leak off kit had some angled unions which I simply cabled tied in place. Once the test was done it was a case of cutting the cable ties with a knife (no room for snips). The leak off pipes were very tight going back in, I found the best way was a big screwdriver and to thump the end, also a squirt of some engine oil on the union helped. Then the fun of getting the clips back in, I tried fitting one prior to putting the pipes in, but couldn't then get the pipe to go in, so I put the clips in afterwards with needle nose pliers and a screwdriver to lever them in, it was very difficult especially number one which does come out and go back in without loosening the injector. All in took about an hour and half.

Considering it's a harder job on the mk4 do you think it's a good idea....or best left as maybe in your experience they don't clog so badly? My mk4 tdci 140 doesn't have the same instant grunt my mk3 tdci 130 did. It's done 130k by the way. (Which is only half the mileage my mk3 had done !) Thanks as always for the helpful videos
hi, if you ask me the mk3 mondeos were a lot quicker than the mk4.....i know how bad the mk3 inlet manifold used to clog up but i don't think the mk4 is that bad at all...i have never cleaned one......the engine in the video that i remove the cover had done just over 200k miles.... myself...i would not bother cleaning the manifold..maybe just use some injector cleaner from time to time
@@alan4x Alan that's great advice thank you. I've always been wary of injector cleaner. ...particularly with common rail...but as your experience shows it ok what brand do you use? Thanks again.
Nice work Alan. Jonah is from old Testament not from new Testament. Bye
Lol why have they changed it again.
lol, the funny thing is i was taught about jonah etc when i went to sunday school many years ago but i have not read the bible since....thank you for educating me... the next time i mention jonah....the old testament will be mentioned .cheers
No one as corrected the fact that those engine injectors don't use injector correction they use classification classes. like 4.5.6. The Number u enter on top of injector are for old 2003 type injectors.
ohh wee like your boss :)
Hey champion, is there a chance you could do a video on how to install some daytime running lights on a 2011 model Mondeo. Thanks in advance, skippy
hi, if i had a kit i would but it is not something i do....i dont even think it is something i will do in the future..i would probably search to see of daytime running light kits are available with fitting instructions
Ok thanks anyhow
Hi I have a Mondeo dpf filer issue can you tell me where your garage is located I am Manchester
hi, we are in little stukeley which is just outside huntingdon in cambridgeshire
Do you or someone else know the exact thickness of the injector washer for this engine?
1.5mm
Have you had any success cleaning/rebuilding these injectors? Or is just worth replacing all 4
i don't bother having them cleaned..the expensive ones you buy from ford are good but the cheaper rebuilt ones from motor factors can sometimes cause more problems than you started with..usually i will only replace the faulty ones as all of them is very expensive
👍
Got one in my S Max injectors n75 valve you name it it's probably f#$ked
Better remove pipes, leaving spring intact, saves a lot of trouble.
Get that engine out of there before it infects the rest of the fleet
lol
Allen
Aren't you a lucky boy yo have a boss like Monica you wish man
Phil in stoke
🤣
Easy to do then
Hi
How the hell would you do a leak off test on one of these? 🙄
All in took about an hour and half.
too much biritish for me
Is this the same engine that's in the Jag X Type 2.0L
