- In the final week of our PE unit, our learners engaged in advanced drills and activities during PE class. Our KG students were able to prepare and perform a combination of moves to create an aesthetic MMA performance. These combos included jab-cross, uppercut punches, slap kicks, and push-ups, all while learning to move gracefully.
Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 learners gained knowledge about physical fitness, basic workouts, and their benefits. They participated in a mini gym workout session using tyres, small balls, and running parachutes, making their experience truly exciting. They were introduced to terms and learned what physical fitness is-muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility.
ECA Program:
Cricket & Basketball: As team sports, the learners had a match day, practising fielding techniques in cricket and layup shots in basketball.
MMA: Learners focused on core strengthening and perfecting their stance for punches.
Fun Fitness: Students practised basic gymnastics moves, such as the front roll and standing broad jump, along with basic badminton skills.
