    Memories of a very turbulent time! April 10, 1968 was just a week removed from the assassination of MLK JR. Vietnam was raging. Big Dan and WABC offered us a respite from all the craziness of the late 60s. Thanks for posting this, Ellis! Merry Christmas to you!

    I used to pick them up at night from STL. I sent away for a copy of the Top 100 of 1968

    Certainly takes me back... I remember trying to listen back then. While Dan was quite good at what he did, the continuous wall of chatter and noise got wearying after awhile. I hated how DJs would keep on gabbing right into the song intros.

    I still have my year ending top 100's from 1965-72 but I gave away my weekly standings a long time ago. Oh boy ,how I wish I still had them to look at now at my older age.
