What a sensational song -- especially the drumming! Before the outro breakdown starts in the Japanese-esque clean part it sounds like the drummer is playing with brushes. It's a really cool touch.

Wished they had them both for cleans and screams, idk if itd be a money issue with having more people in a band but definitely could make them grow more from where they were

Excluding the brief section from 1:05 to 1:18 and the 2/4 bar at 0:39, everything else is 4/4; it's just super highly syncopated. There are also some tempo changes.

No it's not; the chorus is in 4/4.
You could technically argue that the brief section from 3:27 to 3:43 is in 12/8, but even then that's still a 4-beat pulse (compound quadruple meter) - and it would be more accurate to say that this section is also in 4/4 with swung eighth notes.
I was very unsure about the new guy because James is just so hard to replace but now after this song I feel like I can accept it a bit more. even though James is gone I'll see it as as new chapter for OAA and support them ❤
