First time I've ever heard old OAA and it's very enjoyable. Surprising how straight forward and normal it is compared to their recent stuff which is has a million signature and tempo changes.

Oceans Ate Alaska classifies themselves as a Post-Hardcore band; rightfully so since they have high highs, deep growls, high pitched singing, and consistent open notes throughout their songs even when its not a breakdown.
its all about the raw emotion thrown out for others to grasp, and to be honest thats why most people are afraid to give it a try, they hear the anger and sadness and all the emotion thrown into the music and they avoid the truth by writing it off as "noise"
