Bought a bottle blind on its release,I had samples of Anubis and Salome and I really liked Salome but never pulled the trigger, time slipped by and then Spell 125 came out, boom it immediately caught my attention and I pre ordered, when it arrived ,it didn’t disappoint, which then I got Salome and I reckon Dryad will be my next purchase.great house great fragrance and I strongly agree with Jonathan it my fav from what I have sniffed 👍Cher’s Rams have a good one buddy 🙏✌️👍
@Ramsey yes indeed looking for my other samples but needles in haystacks don’t come close, impossible task I fear. I wanna revisit Anubis and Bengal (her cat one lol) no luck as yet 😢👍
@@brenlynch4811 bengale rouge is very good but how do u improve on Shalimar?! Just buy Shalimar IMHO... but Anubis on the other hand is my current favorite... it speaks to me... leathery and resinous with the most beautiful Egyptian Jasime 🌸
I got a sample of Salome and it is truly stunning. I'm thinking I might get a full bottle as a birthday gift. Maybe, the ambergris is being carrired in a leather satchel of an arboreal elven trader being brought to an evil forest queen. Hence your floating ambergris in a pine forest.
Honestly it is one of my favorite animalic frags of all time... Liz Moores called it a Post Coital fragrance ... it is really Sex on the skin & I love it 😂😂😂🤌🤌🤌
Hi Ramsey!! I was watching this video of yours, it's the second time I've seen it…I'm thinking of bringing me spell 125, that's why I was watching this video of yours for the second time…I fell in love with papillon two years ago, Salome was my first…and followed shortly after by Anubis and bengal rouge, as you say, liz moores never disappoints you! I adore incense too!!! anubis is… they are all… oh god!!!
Dude it's INSANE how well you described the Fille en Aiguilles. TO THE T! It feels VERY piny yet smoky, dirty, groundy. I want something fresh and clean but still foresty. It's like I want to feel like an adult in my beautiful clean modern and serene space full of growth, rather than a wild child playing in the forest and getting dirty! I'm ordering the Papillon Spell 125 sample. Can't wait!
Thanks again Ramsey! To stroke my ego; I plan on getting the entire line. This House really is as good as you’ve said, and the value for money is scary good. Salome and Dryad work so nicely on my skin.
Hello Ramsey, so glad to see another Papillon review. I agree with you on your description of Spell 125. I find both it and Anubis quite meditative scents, but for me Anubis is sweeter in the dry down. That black hemlock note is really quite distinctive. I have smelled it in in other things and it's got a naturally smoky quality. I am with you in the love for frankincense. There is something captivating about it, especially in the Winter months of the year. I appreciate your review and need to spend some time catching up on your other videos. I enjoy them! - Jenn
I love love love Papillon, I have Anubis and want many of her creations. This was the only one I’ve struggled with, though to be fair I should probably revisit it. To me it doesn’t smell at all like Arso. Arso is like a hot day in a pine forest with the sun heating the pine needles combined with lovely frankincense. Spell reminded me more of Oriental Velours by Les Indemodables which I also struggle with. Would love to see a house ranking from you.
I hated this when I sampled it last month but I sprayed it on the back of my hand whilst watching this and I don't know what I was thinking. This is just as good as everything else from the house! I don't own anything from the house yet but I plan on getting most of the line (probably not Bengale Rouge or Tobacco Rose, they aren't my style).
I'm sampling this today. First thoughts, its the wealthier, quieter relative of Lush Karma (I still have some older one from 20ish yrs ago). My son said 'Gift shops in Glastonbury' which is exactly where I used to wear my Karma... before he was born!
the quality of the papillon notes is not that of lowe or robert piguet Papillon beats them of course…but they are very interesting casbah is wonderful and 7 was should smell it again to see if anything has changed. as for spell 125… it is another gem !!! I have here a sample I have it on now ... and ; speechless!! Beautifull.
Papillon makes amzazing perfumes! I would take Anubis over spell 125 as its more to my personal taste... but what an amazing fragrance spell 125 is! Thanks so much for watching & commenting 🍻
Yeah I love Liz Moores, I own all of her releases. Anything she puts out I know I will love it. I’m eagerly awaiting more releases. But no rush. I’d rather she take her time and create something amazing .

@@RamseytheRam Any chance you could do a video on pine, Douglas fir (or any fir) notes. Would love to know your thoughts about which ones you think is worth checking out.❤️
Thank you so much for your insights. As you said, Liz never lets you down. She’s a genius, pure and simple.
Thanks for Muling this sample set to me... so many of these early impression videos wouldnt have happened without you🍻
