Highly underrated channel. Kept getting these brilliant suggested videos. Enjoyed them. Then today I noticed you made all three of them. Binge watched. Subbed. And sharing w/my 11 year old. So he fully understands this game we love. Edit: what’s your fascination w/Husker football? Nothing wrong with it. Just super curious.
Hey empire, glad you're finally jumping the patreon game, I know it sucks at first asking people for money , but I believe you make some of the best sports content on this entire platform. Dumping streaming services for quality curated content was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'll happily throw you 5 bucks a month man, I also subscribe to that secret base patreon, shout out to Jon Bois. Keep doing you man sorry the fair use thing keeps fucking small creators out of any sense of growth. God forbid you use ancient footage from 20 years ago or more right?
“…oftentimes game footage….almost without fail gets claimed” Yep. Ive had similar issues on all mine. The idea of “fair use” doesn’t really exist on youtube. No matter the educational or, in my case, satirical nature of the video. Hope this patreon helps you out man. Keep up the great works!
I too have considered starting a patreon, but for me it's slightly more complicated. I think it can be said the footage you use is fair-use. Me on the other hand offer no insight, not fair use. I'd love to buy a professional video deck with a TBC and all of the bells and whistles, but I certainly don't want a cease and desist from the NFL. It's certainly a symbiotic relationship you the documentarian and me a content uploader. I would certainly just retire away to the shadows if the conferences and league actually uploaded there content. They too to a less degree rely on the recorders as a lot of there history's master tapes are in collectors hands. By the late 70s many of the networks were saving most game broadcast, however some of the stuff televised on the independent networks in terms of college football was lost if not for the arly recorders and to some degree even the NFL in terms of games televised in only a few areas.
Interesting video idea to tag along the Wichita state disaster, the marshall football team lost all 75 members in the worst sports related air tragedy in history
Good move brother. I hate that only one video has made you money. People are scammers fr 😭
I did not expect an MVOS cameo in an Empire video but here we are. You two should do a colab it would be so cool

Maybe make an extra video only for patreon subscribers(prob easier said than done), some sort of podcast would be cool too!

Face reveal?
That is insane you only made money off of one. The friggin NCAA copyrighting footage from these old ass games is thievery. I’ll be donating.
