I feel like their relationship is at least half Link explaining his thinking and Rhett saying 'i don't get it but ok.' and just moving on

@@barttledoo8440 look, im gonna need to say it. The mcgriddle is way tastier than a mcmuffin or mcbiscuit. Link has a valid point here given that the mcgriddle is the best tasting breakfast item offered at any fast food place by far and a fan favorite.

The biggest factor for me is that McDonald's messes up my order way more times than Wendy's ever has.
If I had a nickel for every time I had to pull in a parking space after going through the drive thru at mcdonalds to go and get something they forgot.. And wendy's has upped their customer service game, they are a little closer to chic fil a.

Wendy's by far has higher quality food over McDonald's. When I was in the business my Wendy's spent on average 26-28% on food cost versus the McDonalds down the street that spent around 16%. Unfortunately for Wendy's it comes down to execution. With higher quality comes more difficulty in reproducing the higher standards that Wendy's sets. For McDonald's it's a lot easier to produce same low quality taste from store to store customers expect.

Great review! I am a little salty about McDonald's winning because I prefer Wendy's. But that's my own opinion. I am confused as to why McDonald's was given bonus points for their McGriddle when that particular sandwich wasn't even in the competition???

@@ragingfiip it depends on the store location. Usually that wont happen unless you have a bunch of druggy idiots who would think that's okay. The food quality is dependent on how often they clean certain machines. I worked at BK for 2 in a half years and you could tell the difference in the food when you had a machine that was just freshly cleaned.

I need to see a rematch between these two fast food giants for this competition. Including their two best breakfast items the breakfast baconator against the sausage egg and cheese mcgriddles, the baconator against the quarter pounder with cheese and bacon, and a lightning round with all of their dipping sauces. Maybe even include the side salads they offer.

They honestly need to eat this stuff in like... the parking lot between two of them right next to eachother so they're getting it fresh, not cold after an hour in traffic.

It’s worth noting that McDonalds heavily discounts their food prices for combos, and also has more specials. So while individual menu items are more expensive, it’s ultimately cheaper to eat at McDonalds.

As a McDonald’s worker I knew they messed up when I saw the regular crispy packaging as opposed to the spicy crispy packaging that they were actually testing for

I've had McDonald's new spicy chicken sandwich and it has a nice spicy taste. Compared to Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich I'll take McDonald's. For chicken nuggets I'll take Wendy's. I prefer their breading over McDonald's nuggets breading.
If y’all want to compare the McFlurry to anything you should do a Dairy Queen vs McDonald’s video and do a McFlurry vs blizzard challenge.
I think that they should be given them without knowing which is which! They don’t necessarily have to be blindfolded. But if they are given them on a plate and do not know which is which, I think it will be much more fair. Since you guys said you read the comments and so many people have recommended this, I think it’s a great idea to implement.

Comparing it to the McDonald’s sandwich that they chose was a good comparison because if they did the McChicken then they would need to do the Wendy’s crispy chicken sandwich which is $1.29 and isnt as good as their spicy chicken sandwich. The spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy’s in comparison is $4.89.

THat spicy chicken looked nothing like the ones I get. The spicy chicken sandwich and the baconator are my 2 favorite fast food items.

Theirs something about the Baconator that just hits differently than the Big Mac. Other than the grease anyway. Plus spicy nuggets in my opinion just barely have a leg up over McDonald's regular nuggets.

I feel the sauces enhance McDonald's nuggets. I've never ate them without Sweet and Sour or Honey. Wendy's sauces are good but don't enhance the nugget experience.
Guess that's their preference but for me the Chicken McNugget is the gold standard of chicken nuggets. Perfectly crispy. Great shapes and a unique taste that I prefer.
